Revelation 2
1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
エフェゾ教會の天使に斯く書遣れ、右の御手に七の星を持ち、七の金の燈台の中央に歩み給ふもの曰く、
2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
我は汝の業と働と忍耐とを知り、又汝が惡人を忍び得ざる事と、自ら使徒と稱しつつ然らざる人々を試みて其僞れる者たるを認めし事と、
3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
汝の忍耐ある事と、我名の為に患難を忍びて倦まざりし事とを知れり。
4 Nevertheless I have [somewhat] against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
然れども汝に咎むる所あり、即ち汝は最初の愛を離せり、
5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
然れば其何處より堕落せしかを思ひ、改心して最初の業を為せ。若然らずして改心せずば、我汝の許に至り、汝の燈台を其處より取除かん。
6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
然りながら汝に長所あり、即ちニコライ党の業を憎める事にして、我も亦之を憎めるなり。
7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
耳ある者は[聖]霊の諸教會に曰ふ所を聞け、即ち勝利を得たる人には我わが神の樂園に在る生命の樹の果を食せしめん。
8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
又スミルナ教會の天使に斯く書遣れ、最初のものにして最終のものたり、且死したりしに活き給へるもの曰く、
9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and [I know] the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but [are] the synagogue of Satan.
我は汝の患難と貧窮とを知れり、然れど汝は富めり。又自らユデア人と稱しつつ、然らずして、却てサタン教會たる人々に罵らるるなり。
10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast [some] of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
受けんとする苦を一も懼るる事勿れ、看よ惡魔は汝等を試みんとて、汝等の幾人を監獄に入るべく、汝等は十日の間患難に遇はんとす。汝等死に至るまで忠信なれ、然らば我生命の冠を汝に與へん。
11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
耳ある者は[聖]霊の諸教會に曰ふ所を聞け、即ち勝利を得たる人は第二の死に害せられじ。
12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;
又ベルガモ教會の天使にかく書遣れ、兩刃の利き剣を持ち給へるもの曰く、
13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, [even] where Satan’s seat [is]: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas [was] my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.
我は汝の何處に住むかを知れり、即ちサタンの座の有る處なり。然るに汝我名を保ちて、我忠信なる證人アンチパスが汝等の中なるサタンの住む處にて殺されし時すら、汝は我に於る信仰を否まざりき。
14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
然れども少しく汝に咎むべき事あり、即ち汝の處にはバラアムの教を保てる人々あり、彼は禁物を食せしめ又私通せしめん為に、躓く物をイスラエルの子等の前に置くべしと、バラクに教へ居りしが、
15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.
斯の如く汝の地にニコライ党の教を保てる人々あり。
16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
汝も亦改心せよ、然らずんば我速に汝の許に至り、我口の剣を以て彼等と戰はん。
17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth [it.]
耳ある者は[聖]霊の諸教會に曰ふ所を聞け、即ち勝利を得たる人に我隠れたるマンナを與へ、又白き石に新しき名を記して與へん、其名は白き石を受くる者の外之を知る者なし。
18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet [are] like fine brass;
又チアチラ教會の天使に斯く書遣れ、神の御子、即ち御目は焔の如く、御足は青銅の如くに在すもの曰く、
19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last [to be] more than the first.
我は汝の業と信仰と、愛と務と忍耐と、又後の業の前の業より多き事とを知れり。
20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
然れども聊汝に咎むべき所あり、即ち汝は預言者と自稱する婦人イエザベルの、我僕等を教へ且惑はして、私通せしめ偶像に献げられし物を食せしむるを措けり。
21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
我彼婦人に改心すべき暇を與へたれど、敢えて其私通より改心せず、
22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
看よ、我彼を床に臥さしむべく、又彼と共に姦淫を為す人々にして、己が業より改心せずば、大いなる患難に遇ふべく、
23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
我又彼が子等を撃殺すべく、斯て諸教會は我が人の心腸を探るる者たるを知るに至るべく、我又汝等に各其業に應じて報ゆる所あらん。而して汝等、
24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.
即ちチアチラに在る他の人々に謂はん、総て彼教を有たざるもの、所謂サタンの奥義を知らざるもの我汝等に他の荷を負はせじ。
25 But that which ye have [already] hold fast till I come.
但汝等が有てる所を我が來るまで保て、
26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
而して勝利を得て、終まで我業を守りたる人には、與ふるに諸國民に對する権威を以てすべし、
27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
彼は鉄の杖を以て之を治め、彼等は土器の如くに砕かれん、
28 And I will give him the morning star.
猶我にも我父より賜はりたるが如し。而して我亦彼人に暁の明星を與ふべし。
29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
耳ある者は[聖]霊の諸教會に曰ふ所を聞け。
