Psalms 87

1 A Psalm [or] Song for the sons of Korah. His foundation [is] in the holy mountains.

१परमेश्वराचे नगर पवित्र पर्वतावर स्थापले आहे.

2 The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

२याकोबाच्या सर्व तंबूपेक्षा परमेश्वरास सियोनेचे द्वार अधिक प्रिय आहे.

3 Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. (Selah)

३हे देवाच्या नगरी, तुझ्याविषयी गौरवाच्या गोष्टी सांगितल्या आहेत.

4 I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this [man] was born there.

४राहाब आणि बाबेल माझे अनुयायी आहेत असे मी सांगेन. पाहा, पलिष्टी, सोर व कूश म्हणतात त्यांचा जन्म तेथलाच.

5 And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.

५सियोनेविषयी असे म्हणतील की, हा प्रत्येक तिच्यात जन्मला होता; आणि परात्पर स्वतः तिला प्रस्थापित करील.

6 The LORD shall count, when he writeth up the people, [that] this [man] was born there. (Selah)

६लोकांची नोंदणी करताना, ह्याचा जन्म तेथलाच होता असे परमेश्वर लिहील.

7 As well the singers as the players on instruments [shall be there: ] all my springs [are] in thee.

७गायन करणारे आणि वाद्ये वाजवणारेही म्हणतील की, माझ्या सर्व पाण्याचे झरे तुझ्यात आहेत.”
