Psalms 82

1 A Psalm of Asaph. God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.

Deus está na congregação dos poderosos; julga no meio dos deuses.

2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? (Selah)

Até quando julgareis injustamente, e acceitareis as pessoas dos impios? (Selah)

3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

Fazei justiça ao pobre e ao orphão: justificae o afflicto e necessitado.

4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid [them] out of the hand of the wicked.

Livrae o pobre e o necessitado; tirae-os das mãos dos impios.

5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

Elles não conhecem, nem entendem; andam em trevas; todos os fundamentos da terra vacillam.

6 I have said, Ye [are] gods; and all of you [are] children of the most High.

Eu disse: Vós sois deuses, e todos vós filhos do Altissimo.

7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

Todavia morrereis como homens, e caireis como qualquer dos principes.

8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

Levanta-te, ó Deus, julga a terra, pois tu possues todas as nações.
