< Psalms 81 >
1 To the chief Musician upon Gittith, [A Psalm] of Asaph. Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.
Katoeng kruek zaehoikung hanah. Gittih ah sak koi Asaph ih Saam laa. Aicae thacakhaih Sithaw khaeah hanghaih hoiah laa to sah oh; Jakob Sithaw khaeah anghoehaih hoiah hang oh.
2 Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.
Lok kamding katoeng tamoi to sin oh, cingceng to bop oh loe, laa hoiah pakoeh oh.
3 Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.
Khrah tarae moe, khrah amdueng nathuem ih poihkung ah, mongkah to ueng oh.
4 For this [was] a statute for Israel, [and] a law of the God of Jacob.
Hae loe Jakob Sithaw zaehhoihaih lok, Israel han paek ih thuitaekhaih lok ah oh.
5 This he ordained in Joseph [for] a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: [where] I heard a language [that] I understood not.
Ka thaikop ai ih lok ka thaihaih, Izip prae hoiah a caeh naah, Joseph hanah to baktih lokthuihaih to a sak pae.
6 I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots.
Anih palaeng nui ih kazit hmuen to ka takhoe pae moe, benthang thung hoiah a ban to ka zuh pae.
7 Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. (Selah)
Raihaih na tongh naah, kang loisak; kamtueng ai khopazihaih ahmuen hoiah kang pathim; Meribah tuinawk nuiah nang to kang tanoek. (Selah)
8 Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me;
Aw kai ih kaminawk tahngai oh, lok kang thuih o han; Aw Israel, ka lok hae na tahngai o nahaeloe!
9 There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.
Nangcae khaeah kalah sithaw om mak ai; sithaw kalah doeh na bok o mak ai.
10 I [am] the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
Kai loe Izip prae hoiah nangcae zaehoikung, Angraeng na Sithaw ah ka oh; pakha to kakawk ah aang oh, pakha koimongah kang paek o han.
11 But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.
Toe kai ih kaminawk loe ka lok tahngai o mak ai; Israel loe kai khaeah amha mak ai.
12 So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust: [and] they walked in their own counsels.
To pongah angmacae palungthahhaih baktih toengah ka prawt sut; nihcae loe angmacae koehhaih baktiah caeh o.
13 Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, [and] Israel had walked in my ways!
Kai ih kami mah ka lok tahngaih o moe, Israel mah ka loklam to pazui nahaeloe!
14 I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.
Nihcae ih misanawk to karangah ka kuepsak moe, a misanawk bangah ka ban ka paqoi han.
15 The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.
Angraeng hnuma kaminawk loe angmacae koeh ah anih hmaa ah akuep o tih, nihcae danpaekhaih loe dungzan khoek to om tih boeh.
16 He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.
Anih mah kakhraem koek buh hoiah nihcae to pacah ueloe, cathaeng thung ih khoitui hoiah na zok kam hahsak han, tiah a thuih.
