< Psalms 80 >

1 To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim-eduth, A Psalm of Asaph. Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest [between] the cherubims, shine forth.

2 Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come [and] save us.
Ephraim, Benjamin neh Manasseh mikhmuh ah na thayung thamal te huel lamtah, kaimih kah khangnah ham halo lah.
3 Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
Pathen aw kaimih nan lat tih, na maelhmai a sae daengah ni ka daem uh eh.
4 O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?
Caempuei Pathen BOEIPA me hil nim, na pilnam kah thangthuinah te na khuu thil eh?
5 Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure.
Amih te mikphi buh na cah tih baelpuei mikphi na tul.
6 Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves.
Ka imben rhoek ham olpungkacan la kaimih nan khueh tih ka thunkha rhoek loh n'tamdaeng uh.
7 Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
Caempuei Pathen aw kaimih nan lat tih na maelhmai a sae daengah ni ka daem uh eh.
8 Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.
Egypt lamkah nang khuen misur te namtom na haek phoeiah na phung.
9 Thou preparedst [room] before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land.
A mikhmuh ah hmuen na saelh pah tih a yung a hlak dongah khohmuen ah baetawt.
10 The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof [were like] the goodly cedars.
A hlip loh tlang tom a dah tih a hlaeng loh lamphai thingnu a yam thil.
11 She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river.
A pae loh tuitunli duela, a dawn long khaw tuiva duela a voeih.
12 Why hast thou [then] broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her?
A vongtung te a ba ham nim na phae tih long kah aka pongpa boeih loh a bit uh?
13 The boar out of the wood doth waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it.
Duup lamkah okngal loh a thoe tih kohong kah satlung loh a luem thil.
14 Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;
Caempuei Pathen aw, ha mael laeh. Misur he vaan lamloh paelki lah, so lamtah hip lah.
15 And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch [that] thou madest strong for thyself.
Na bantang kut neh a yung te na phung tih namah ham a ca na hlul sak.
16 [It is] burned with fire, [it is] cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.
Hmai neh a hoeh tih a vung. Na mikhmuh kah tluungnah dongah milh uh.
17 Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man [whom] thou madest strong for thyself.
Na bantang hlang so neh namah ham na thoh hlang capa soah na kut tloeng lah.
18 So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name.
Te daengah ni nang taeng lamkah ka balkhong uh pawt eh. Kaimih he nan hlun daengah ni na ming te kang khue uh eh.
19 Turn us again, O LORD God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
Caempuei Pathen Yahweh kaimih nan lat tih na maelhmai a sae daengah ni ka daem uh eh.
