Psalms 73
1 A Psalm of Asaph. Truly God [is] good to Israel, [even] to such as are of a clean heart.
ஆசாபின் சங்கீதம். நிச்சயமாகவே, இருதயத்தில் சுத்தமுள்ள இஸ்ரயேலருக்கு, இறைவன் நல்லவராயிருக்கிறார்.
2 But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.
ஆனால் நானோ, என் கால்கள் சறுக்கி, என் காலடிகள் இடறி விழப்போனேன்.
3 For I was envious at the foolish, [when] I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
பெருமையுள்ளவர்களைக் குறித்துப் பொறாமை கொண்டேன்; கொடியவர்களின் வளமான வாழ்வை நான் கண்டேன்.
4 For [there are] no bands in their death: but their strength [is] firm.
அவர்களுக்கு சாகும்வரை வேதனைகளே இல்லை; அவர்களுடைய உடல்கள் ஆரோக்கியமாகவும் பலமாகவும் இருக்கின்றன.
5 They [are] not in trouble [as other] men; neither are they plagued like [other] men.
அவர்கள் சாதாரண மனிதர்களைப்போல துன்பப்படுவதில்லை; மனிதருக்கு வரும் நோய்களினாலும் அவர்கள் பீடிக்கப்படுவதில்லை.
6 Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them [as] a garment.
ஆதலால் பெருமை அவர்களுடைய கழுத்துச் சங்கிலியாய் இருக்கிறது; அவர்கள் வன்முறையை உடையாகக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.
7 Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.
அவர்களுடைய இருதயம் கொழுப்பினால் புடைத்து அநியாயம் வெளியே வருகிறது; அவர்கள் மனதிலிருந்து எழும் தீமையான எண்ணங்களுக்கு அளவேயில்லை.
8 They are corrupt, and speak wickedly [concerning] oppression: they speak loftily.
அவர்கள் ஏளனம் செய்து, தீமையானதைப் பேசுகிறார்கள்; அகங்காரத்தில் ஒடுக்கப்போவதாகப் பயமுறுத்துகிறார்கள்.
9 They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
அவர்களுடைய வாயின் வார்த்தைகள் வானமட்டும் எட்டுகிறது; அவர்களுடைய நாவின் சொற்கள் பூமியெங்கும் சுற்றித்திரிகிறது.
10 Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full [cup] are wrung out to them.
ஆகையால் மக்களும் அவர்களிடமாய்த் திரும்பி, அவர்களின் சொற்களைத் தண்ணீரைப்போல் குடிக்கிறார்கள்.
11 And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?
அவர்கள், “இறைவன் எப்படி அறிவார்? மகா உன்னதமானவருக்கு இவற்றைப் பற்றிய அறிவு உண்டோ?” என்கிறார்கள்.
12 Behold, these [are] the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase [in] riches.
கொடியவர்கள் எப்பொழுதும் சிந்தனை அற்றவர்களாகவும், செல்வத்தினால் பெருகுகிறவர்களாகவும் இருக்கிறார்கள்.
13 Verily I have cleansed my heart [in] vain, and washed my hands in innocency.
உண்மையில், நான் வீணாகவே என் இருதயத்தைச் சுத்தமாக வைத்துக்கொண்டேன்; வீணாகவே குற்றமற்றவனாய் என் கைகளைக் கழுவிக் கொண்டேன்.
14 For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.
நாளெல்லாம் நான் பாதிக்கப்பட்டேன்; காலைதோறும் நான் கண்டிக்கப்பட்டேன்.
15 If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend [against] the generation of thy children.
இவ்வாறு பேசியிருந்தால், நான் உமது பிள்ளைகளுக்கு துரோகம் செய்திருப்பேன்.
16 When I thought to know this, it [was] too painful for me;
இவற்றையெல்லாம் விளங்கிக்கொள்ள நான் முயன்றபோது, அது எனக்குக் கடினமாய் இருந்தது.
17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God; [then] understood I their end.
ஆனால் நான் இறைவனின் பரிசுத்த இடத்திற்குள் நுழைந்த பின்புதான், நான் அவர்களுடைய இறுதிமுடிவை அறிந்துகொண்டேன்.
18 Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.
நிச்சயமாகவே, நீர் அவர்களைச் சறுக்கலான நிலத்தில் நிறுத்துகிறீர்; நீர் அவர்களை சேதமடைந்து போகவிடுகிறீர்.
19 How are they [brought] into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
அவர்கள் சீக்கிரமாய் அழிந்துபோகிறார்கள்; திடீரென வரும் பயங்கரங்களால் முழுமையாக அழிந்துபோகிறார்கள்!
20 As a dream when [one] awaketh; [so], O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.
விழித்தெழுகிறவனின் கனவு கலைவதுபோல், யெகோவாவே, நீர் எழும்பும்போது, அவர்களை கற்பனைக் காட்சியென்று இகழ்வீர்.
21 Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.
என் இருதயம் கசந்தது, என் உள்ளம் குத்தப்பட்டது.
22 So foolish [was] I, and ignorant: I was [as] a beast before thee.
நான் ஒன்றும் அறியாத மூடனானேன்; நான் உமக்கு முன்பாக விலங்கைப்போல நடந்துகொண்டேன்.
23 Nevertheless I [am] continually with thee: thou hast holden [me] by my right hand.
ஆனாலும், நான் எப்பொழுதும் உம்முடனே இருக்கிறேன்; நீர் என் வலதுகையை பிடித்துக்கொள்கிறீர்.
24 Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me [to] glory.
நீர் உமது ஆலோசனையினால் எனக்கு வழிகாட்டுகிறீர்; பின்பு நீர் என்னை உமது மகிமைக்குள் எடுத்துக்கொள்வீர்.
25 Whom have I in heaven [but thee]? and [there is] none upon earth [that] I desire beside thee.
பரலோகத்தில் உம்மையன்றி எனக்கு யார் உண்டு? பூமியிலும் உம்மைத்தவிர எனக்கு வேறொரு விருப்பமில்லை.
26 My flesh and my heart faileth: [but] God [is] the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
என் உடலும் உள்ளமும் சோர்ந்துபோயிற்று; ஆனால் இறைவனே என்றென்றைக்கும் நீரே என் இருதயத்தின் பெலனும் எனக்குரியவருமாய் இருக்கிறார்.
27 For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.
உம்மைவிட்டுத் தூரமாகிறவர்கள் அழிவார்கள்; உமக்கு உண்மையற்றவர்களை நீர் தண்டிப்பீர்.
28 But [it is] good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
ஆனால் என்னைப் பொறுத்தவரை, இறைவனுக்கு அருகில் இருப்பதே எனக்கு நலம்; ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவாவை நான் என் புகலிடமாக்கிக் கொண்டேன்; உமது செயல்களையெல்லாம் நான் விவரிப்பேன்.
