< Psalms 73 >
1 A Psalm of Asaph. Truly God [is] good to Israel, [even] to such as are of a clean heart.
[Asaph kah Tingtoenglung] Thinko aka caih Israel taengah Pathen tah then taktak.
2 But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.
Tedae kai tah ka kho he tarha a bung khaw bung vanbangla ka khokan khaw dalhdalh hma khaw hma.
3 For I was envious at the foolish, [when] I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
Halang rhoek loh ngaimongnah neh a thangthen uh te ka hmuh vaengah ka thatlai coeng.
4 For [there are] no bands in their death: but their strength [is] firm.
Amih tah dueknah dongah thingthuelnah om pawt tih, a pumtak khaw len.
5 They [are] not in trouble [as other] men; neither are they plagued like [other] men.
hlanghing kah thakthaenah loh amih te nan pawt tih hlanghing taengkah lucik khaw ya uh pawh.
6 Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them [as] a garment.
Te dongah hoemnah te amih kah oihnun la om tih, a kuthlahnah hnisui a khuk uh.
7 Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.
A mik tha te coe tih, a thinko ngaihlihnah loh vikvuek uh.
8 They are corrupt, and speak wickedly [concerning] oppression: they speak loftily.
Boethae neh palawm uh tih cal uh. Hnaemtaeknah neh a sang la cal uh.
9 They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
A ka te vaan ah a khueh dae a lai loh diklai ah tinghil.
10 Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full [cup] are wrung out to them.
Te dongah a pilnam loh hela ha mael ha mael tih khangrhueng tui a caep uh.
11 And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?
Te vaengah, “Pathen loh metlam a ming tih, Khohni taengah lungming khaw om van nim,” a ti uh.
12 Behold, these [are] the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase [in] riches.
Amih halang rhoek pataeng kumhal ah a khuehtawn loh thayoeituipan la a rhoeng pah daeta ke.
13 Verily I have cleansed my heart [in] vain, and washed my hands in innocency.
A poeyoek la ka thinko he ka cael sak tih cimnah neh ka kut ka silh.
14 For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.
Tedae hnin takuem lucik neh ka om tih mincang takuem ah kai taengah toelthamnah ha om.
15 If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend [against] the generation of thy children.
Te tlam te ka tae koinih na ca rhoek kah thawnpuei te kan hnukpoh tak ve ka ti.
16 When I thought to know this, it [was] too painful for me;
Hekah he ming ham ka moeh dae ka mik ah thakthaenah la om.
17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God; [then] understood I their end.
Pathen kah rhokso khuila ka kun daengah amih kah hmailong te ka yakming.
18 Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.
Amih te long hnal ah na khueh tih pocinah la na cungku sak taktak.
19 How are they [brought] into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
Mikhaptok ah mueirhih loh imsuep neh a thup uh tih a cing te metlam a om uh.
20 As a dream when [one] awaketh; [so], O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.
Haenghang hnukah mueimang bangla ka Boeipa loh amih kah mueihlip a haenghang vaengah hnael pah.
21 Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.
Ka thinko loh khikhi hal tih ka kuel a phawt vaengah,
22 So foolish [was] I, and ignorant: I was [as] a beast before thee.
Kai loh ka kotalh tih na hmaiah rhamsa bangla ka om khaw ka ming pawh.
23 Nevertheless I [am] continually with thee: thou hast holden [me] by my right hand.
Tedae kai tah nang taengah ka om taitu tih ka bantang kut nan tuuk.
24 Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me [to] glory.
Na cilsuep neh kai nan mawt tih thangpomnah hnukah kai nan khoem ni.
25 Whom have I in heaven [but thee]? and [there is] none upon earth [that] I desire beside thee.
Vaan dongah kai ham unim aka om. Tedae namah taengah ka om atah diklai ah ba khaw ka ngaih pawh.
26 My flesh and my heart faileth: [but] God [is] the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
Ka pumsa neh ka thinko loh yawk mai suidae kumhal ah ka thinko kah lungpang neh ka hamsum la Pathen om.
27 For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.
Namah lamkah a hlahloei loh a milh uh vaengah, nang taengah aka cukhalh boeih te na biit taktak coeng he.
28 But [it is] good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
Tedae kai loh kamah ham Pathen vang te ka kai. Na bitat cungkuem thui hamla ka hlipyingnah ka Boeipa Yahovah taengah a then ka khueh.
