Psalms 62

1 To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of David. Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him [cometh] my salvation.

聖歌隊の指揮者によってエドトンのしらべにしたがってうたわせたダビデの歌 わが魂はもだしてただ神をまつ。わが救は神から来る。

2 He only [is] my rock and my salvation; [he is] my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.

神こそわが岩、わが救、わが高きやぐらである。わたしはいたく動かされることはない。

3 How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall [shall ye be, and as] a tottering fence.

あなたがたは、いつまで人に押し迫るのか。あなたがたは皆、傾いた石がきのように、揺り動くまがきのように人を倒そうとするのか。

4 They only consult to cast [him] down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. (Selah)

彼らは人を尊い地位から落そうとのみはかり、偽りを喜び、その口では祝福し、心のうちではのろうのである。 (セラ)

5 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation [is] from him.

わが魂はもだしてただ神をまつ。わが望みは神から来るからである。

6 He only [is] my rock and my salvation: [he is] my defence; I shall not be moved.

神こそわが岩、わが救、わが高きやぐらである。わたしは動かされることはない。

7 In God [is] my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, [and] my refuge, [is] in God.

わが救とわが誉とは神にある。神はわが力の岩、わが避け所である。

8 Trust in him at all times; [ye] people, pour out your heart before him: God [is] a refuge for us. (Selah)

民よ、いかなる時にも神に信頼せよ。そのみ前にあなたがたの心を注ぎ出せ。神はわれらの避け所である。 (セラ)

9 Surely men of low degree [are] vanity, [and] men of high degree [are] a lie: to be laid in the balance, they [are] altogether [lighter] than vanity.

低い人はむなしく、高い人は偽りである。彼らをはかりにおけば、彼らは共に息よりも軽い。

10 Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart [upon them].

あなたがたは、しえたげにたよってはならない。かすめ奪うことに、むなしい望みをおいてはならない。富の増し加わるとき、これに心をかけてはならない。

11 God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power [belongeth] unto God.

神はひとたび言われた、わたしはふたたびこれを聞いた、力は神に属することを。

12 Also unto thee, O Lord, [belongeth] mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.

主よ、いつくしみもまたあなたに属することを。あなたは人おのおののわざにしたがって報いられるからである。
