Psalms 61

1 To the chief Musician upon Neginah, [A Psalm] of David. Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.

Az éneklőmesternek hangszerre: Dávidé. Hallgasd meg, oh Isten, az én kiáltásomat; figyelmezzél az én könyörgésemre.

2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock [that] is higher than I.

E föld széléről kiáltok te hozzád; mert szívem elepedt: Vígy el engem innen a sziklára, a hova én nem jutok.

3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, [and] a strong tower from the enemy.

Mert te vagy az én menedékem, s erős tornyom az ellenség ellen.

4 I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. (Selah)

Hadd lakozzam a te sátorodban mindörökké; hadd meneküljek a te szárnyaid árnyéka alá! (Szela)

5 For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given [me] the heritage of those that fear thy name.

Mert te, oh Isten, meghallgattad az én fogadásaimat; a te neved tisztelőinek örökségét megadtad nékem.

6 Thou wilt prolong the king’s life: [and] his years as many generations.

Adj napokat a király napjaihoz, esztendeit nemzedékről nemzedékre nyujtsd.

7 He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, [which] may preserve him.

Isten előtt lakozzék örökké; kegyelmedet és hűségedet rendeld ki, hogy őrizzék meg őt.

8 So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

Így éneklem majd a te nevedet szüntelen, hogy beteljesítsem az én fogadásaimat minden napon.
