Psalms 55
1 To the chief Musician on Neginoth, Maschil, [A Psalm] of David. Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.
கம்பியிசைக் கருவிகளுடன் பாடி பாடகர் குழுத் தலைவனுக்குப் ஒப்புவிக்கப்பட்ட மஸ்கீல் என்னும் தாவீதின் சங்கீதம். இறைவனே, என் மன்றாட்டைக் கேளும்; என் வேண்டுதலை அசட்டை பண்ணாதிரும்.
2 Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;
எனக்குச் செவிகொடுத்து, எனக்குப் பதில் தாரும்; என் சிந்தனைகள் என்னைக் கலங்கப்பண்ணுகின்றன; நான் மிகவும் கலக்கமடைந்துள்ளேன்.
3 Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.
எதிரியின் வார்த்தையினாலும் கொடியவர்களின் அழுத்தத்தினாலும் கலக்கமடைந்துள்ளேன்; அவர்கள் என்மேல் வேதனையைக் கொண்டுவந்து, கோபத்தில் என்னை பகைக்கிறார்கள்.
4 My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
என் இருதயம் எனக்குள்ளே கடுந்துயரப்படுகிறது; மரணபயம் என்னைத் தாக்குகின்றன.
5 Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
பயமும் நடுக்கமும் என்னைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டன; பயங்கரம் என்னை மூடிக்கொண்டது.
6 And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! [for then] would I fly away, and be at rest.
நானோ, “புறாவின் சிறகுகள் எனக்கு இருந்திருந்தால்! பறந்துபோய் இளைப்பாறுவேன்.
7 Lo, [then] would I wander far off, [and] remain in the wilderness. (Selah)
நான் தொலைவில் தப்பிப்போய் பாலைவனத்தில் தங்குவேன்.
8 I would hasten my escape from the windy storm [and] tempest.
கடும் காற்றுக்கும் புயலுக்கும் தப்பிக்கும்படி விரைந்து செல்வேன்” என்றேன்.
9 Destroy, O Lord, [and] divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
யெகோவாவே, அவர்களுக்கு குழப்பத்தை உண்டுபண்ணி, அவர்களுடைய பேச்சிலும் பிளவுண்டாக்கும்; ஏனெனில், நான் வன்முறையையும் போராட்டத்தையுமே பட்டணத்தில் காண்கிறேன்.
10 Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow [are] in the midst of it.
அவர்கள் இரவும் பகலும் பட்டண மதில்களின்மேல் பதுங்கித் திரிகிறார்கள்; கொடுமையும் பிரச்சனையும் அதனுள்ளே காணப்படுகின்றன.
11 Wickedness [is] in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.
பேரழிவு பட்டணத்தின் நடுவே இருக்கிறது; அச்சுறுத்தல்களும் பொய்களும் அதின் வீதிகளைவிட்டு ஒருபோதும் நீங்குவதில்லை.
12 For [it was] not an enemy [that] reproached me; then I could have borne [it: ] neither [was it] he that hated me [that] did magnify [himself] against me; then I would have hid myself from him:
என்னை நிந்திப்பவன் என் பகைவனல்ல; அப்படியிருந்தால், அதை நான் சகித்துக்கொள்ளலாம்; எனக்கு விரோதமாக ஒரு எதிரி எழும்பியிருந்தால், நான் அவனிடமிருந்து மறைந்துகொள்வேன்.
13 But [it was] thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.
ஆனால் எதிர்த்தவன் என்னைப்போன்ற மனிதனும், எனக்கு அறிமுகமான, என் நெருங்கிய நண்பனுமே.
14 We took sweet counsel together, [and] walked unto the house of God in company.
நாங்கள் ஒன்றுகூடி இனிய ஆலோசனைபண்ணி, மக்கள் கூட்டத்துடன் இறைவனின் ஆலயத்திற்குச் சென்றோம்.
15 Let death seize upon them, [and] let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness [is] in their dwellings, [and] among them. (Sheol h7585)
மரணம் என் எதிரிகளைத் திடீரெனப் பற்றிக்கொள்ளட்டும்; தீமை அவர்கள் மத்தியில் குடியிருப்பதால், அவர்கள் உயிருடன் பாதாளத்தில் இறங்குவார்களாக. (Sheol h7585)
16 As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.
நானோ இறைவனை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறேன்; யெகோவா என்னைக் காப்பாற்றுவார்.
17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
மாலையிலும் காலையிலும் மத்தியான வேளையிலும் நான் துயரத்தால் முறையிடுவேன்; அவர் என் குரலைக் கேட்பார்.
18 He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle [that was] against me: for there were many with me.
பலர் என்னை எதிர்த்தபோதும், எனக்கு விரோதமாய் நடத்தப்படும் யுத்தத்தில் இருந்து அவர் என்னைத் தீங்கின்றி மீட்டுக்கொண்டார்.
19 God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. (Selah) Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.
சிங்காசனத்தில் என்றென்றும் அமர்ந்திருக்கும் இறைவன் கேட்டு, அவர்களைத் தாழ்த்திவிடுவார்; அவர்கள் இறைவனுக்குப் பயப்படவும் இல்லை, ஒருபோதும் தங்கள் வழிகளை மாற்றிக்கொள்ளவுமில்லை.
20 He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant.
என் தோழன் தனது நண்பர்களைத் தாக்குகிறான்; அவன் தன் உடன்படிக்கையையும் மீறுகிறான்.
21 [The words] of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war [was] in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet [were] they drawn swords.
அவனுடைய பேச்சு வெண்ணெயைப் போல் மிருதுவானது, ஆனாலும் அவனுடைய இருதயத்தில் யுத்தம் மறைந்திருக்கிறது; அவனுடைய வார்த்தைகள் எண்ணெயைப் பார்க்கிலும் மென்மையானவை, ஆனாலும் அவை கூர்மையான வாள்களைப்போல் இருக்கின்றன.
22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
உங்கள் கவலைகளை யெகோவாமேல் வைத்து விடுங்கள்; அவர் உங்களைத் தாங்குவார்; நீதிமான்களை அவர் ஒருபோதும் விழுந்துபோக விடமாட்டார்.
23 But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.
ஆனால் இறைவனே, நீரோ கொடுமையானவனை அழிவின் குழியில் இறங்கப்பண்ணுவீர்; இரத்த வெறியரும் ஏமாற்றுக்காரர்களும் தங்கள் ஆயுளின் பாதிநாட்கள்கூட உயிர் வாழமாட்டார்கள். ஆனால் என்னைப் பொறுத்தவரையில், நான் உம்மிடத்திலேயே நம்பிக்கையாய் இருக்கிறேன்.
