Psalms 55
1 To the chief Musician on Neginoth, Maschil, [A Psalm] of David. Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.
१मुख्य गायकासाठी; तंतूवाद्दावरचे दाविदाचे स्तोत्र. हे देवा, माझ्या प्रार्थनेकडे कान लाव, आणि माझ्या विणवनीपासून लपू नकोस.
2 Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;
२देवा, माझ्याकडे लक्ष लाव आणि मला उत्तर दे माझ्या संकटात मला विसावा नाही.
3 Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.
३माझ्या शत्रूंच्या आवाजामुळे, दुष्टाच्या जुलूमामुळे मी कण्हत आहे, कारण ते माझ्यावर संकट आणतात, आणि द्वेषात माझा पाठलाग करतात.
4 My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
४माझे हृदय फार दुखणाईत आहे, आणि मृत्यूचे भय माझ्यावर येऊन पडले आहे.
5 Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
५भय आणि थरथरने माझ्यावर आली आहेत, आणि भयाने मला ग्रासले आहे.
6 And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! [for then] would I fly away, and be at rest.
६मला कबूतरासारखे पंख असते तर किती बरे झाले असते. मी दूर उडून गेलो असतो आणि स्वस्थ राहिलो असतो.
7 Lo, [then] would I wander far off, [and] remain in the wilderness. (Selah)
७मी खूप दूर भटकत गेलो असतो. मी रानात राहिलो असतो.
8 I would hasten my escape from the windy storm [and] tempest.
८वादळी वाऱ्यापासून मला आश्रय मिळावा म्हणून मी लवकर पळालो असतो.
9 Destroy, O Lord, [and] divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
९प्रभू, त्यांना नाश कर, आणि त्यांच्या भाषेत गोंधळ निर्माण कर. कारण मी शहरात हिंसा आणि भांडणे पाहिली आहेत.
10 Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow [are] in the midst of it.

11 Wickedness [is] in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.
११दुष्टपणा तिच्यामध्ये कार्य करत आहे, जुलूम आणि कपट कधीही तिच्या रस्त्यांना सोडत नाही.
12 For [it was] not an enemy [that] reproached me; then I could have borne [it: ] neither [was it] he that hated me [that] did magnify [himself] against me; then I would have hid myself from him:
१२कारण जर माझ्या शत्रूंनी मला दोष लावला असता तर तर मला कळून आले असते, किंवा माझा द्वेष करणारा जो माझ्याविरूद्ध उठला असता, तर मी स्वतःला त्याजपासून लपवले असते.
13 But [it was] thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.
१३परंतु मला संकटात टाकणारा तू आहेस, माझा मित्र, माझा साथीदार, माझा दोस्त.
14 We took sweet counsel together, [and] walked unto the house of God in company.
१४एकमेकांसोबत आपली गोड सहभागिता होती. आपण समुदायांबरोबर चालत देवाच्या घरात जात होतो.
15 Let death seize upon them, [and] let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness [is] in their dwellings, [and] among them. (Sheol h7585)
१५मृत्यू त्यांच्यावर अकस्मात येवो. जीवंतपणी ते मृतलोकांत खाली जावोत. कारण त्यांच्या जगण्यात दुष्टपण आहे. (Sheol h7585)
16 As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.
१६मी तर देवाला हाक मारीन, आणि परमेश्वर मला तारील.
17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
१७मी देवाशी सकाळी, दुपारी आणि संध्याकाळी आपले गाऱ्हाणे करेन आणि कण्हेन. आणि तो माझी वाणी ऐकेल.
18 He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle [that was] against me: for there were many with me.
१८माझ्याविरूद्ध लढाणाऱ्यांपासून त्याने मला खंडूण, माझा जीव शांततेत ठेवला आहे. कारण माझ्याविरूद्ध लढणारे पुष्कळ होते.
19 God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. (Selah) Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.
१९देव, जो पुरातन काळापासून आहे, तो ऐकणार आणि त्यांना प्रतिसाद देणार, (सेला) ते मनुष्ये बदलत नाहीत; ती देवाला भीत नाहीत.
20 He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant.
२०माझ्या मित्रांनी त्याच्या सोबत शांतीने राहणाऱ्यांवर आपला हात उगारला आहे. त्याने आपला करार मोडला आहे.
21 [The words] of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war [was] in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet [were] they drawn swords.
२१त्यांचे तोंड लोण्यासारखे आहे, परंतू त्याचे हृदय शत्रुत्व करणारेच आहे. त्यांचे शब्द तेलापेक्षा बुळ्बुळीतआहेत, तरी ते बाहेर काढलेल्या तलवारी सारखे आहे.
22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
२२तू आपला भार परमेश्वरावर टाक, म्हणजे तो तुला आधार देईल. तो नितीमानाला कधी पडू देणार नाही.
23 But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.
२३परंतू हे देवा, तू त्यांना नाशाच्या खांचेत पाडून टाकशील; घातकी आणि कपटी मनुष्ये आपले अर्धे आयुष्यही जगणार नाहीत, परंतू मी तुझ्यावर विश्वास ठेवीन.
