Psalms 52
1 To the chief Musician, Maschil, [A Psalm] of David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David is come to the house of Ahimelech. Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God [endureth] continually.
Nganong nagpasigarbo ka man sa paghimog kagubot, kusgan ka ba diay nga lalaki? Ang matinud-anong kasabotan sa Dios moabot matag adlaw.
2 Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
Ang imong dila naglaraw ug pagguba sama sa hait nga labaha, nga nanglimbong.
3 Thou lovest evil more than good; [and] lying rather than to speak righteousness. (Selah)
Nahigugma ka sa daotan labaw pa sa maayo, ug sa pagpamakak kaysa sa pagsultig pagkamatarong. (Selah)
4 Thou lovest all devouring words, O [thou] deceitful tongue.
Nahigugma ka sa pulong nga nagalamoy sa uban, ikaw nga malimbongong dila.
5 God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of [thy] dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. (Selah)
Ang Dios usab magalaglag kanimo hangtod sa kahangtoran; kuhaon ka niya ug sakmiton ka sa imong tolda ug ibton ka gikan sa yuta sa mga buhi. (Selah)
6 The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:
Ang mga matarong makakita usab niini ug mangahadlok; kataw-an nila siya ug moingon;
7 Lo, [this is] the man [that] made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, [and] strengthened himself in his wickedness.
“Tan-awa, mao kini ang tawo nga wala naghimo sa Dios nga iyang dalangpanan, apan nagsalig siya sa kadagaya sa iyang bahandi, ug kusgan siya sa dihang iyang giguba ang uban.”
8 But I [am] like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.
Apan alang kanako, sama ako sa lunhaw nga kahoy nga olibo sa balay sa Dios; magsalig ako sa matinud-anong kasabotan sa Dios sa walay kataposan.
9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done [it: ] and I will wait on thy name; for [it is] good before thy saints.
Magpasalamat ako kanimo sa walay kataposan tungod sa imong nabuhat. Magahulat ako sa imong ngalan, kay maayo kini, sa atubangan sa imong diosnon nga mga katawhan.
