< Psalms 48 >
1 A Song [and] Psalm for the sons of Korah. Great [is] the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, [in] the mountain of his holiness.
Koramma dwom. Awurade yɛ ɔkɛse na ɔsɛ nkamfo, wɔ yɛn Nyankopɔn kuropɔn mu, ne bepɔw kronkron so.
2 Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, [is] mount Zion, [on] the sides of the north, the city of the great King.
Ne sorokɔ ma ɛyɛ fɛ, ɛyɛ wiase nyinaa anigyede. Bepɔw Sion te sɛ Safon sorɔnsorɔmmea, Ɔhenkɛse no kuropɔn.
3 God is known in her palaces for a refuge.
Onyankopɔn te nʼabankɛse mu wada ne ho adi sɛ ɔyɛ nʼabandennen.
4 For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.
Bere a ahemfo yi boaa wɔn ho ano, na wotuu ɔsa bɔɔ mu no,
5 They saw [it, and] so they marvelled; they were troubled, [and] hasted away.
wohuu no ma ɛyɛɛ wɔn ahodwiriw, na wɔde ehu guanee.
6 Fear took hold upon them there, [and] pain, as of a woman in travail.
Wɔbɔɔ huboa wɔ hɔ, ɔyaw a ɛte sɛ ɔbea a awo aka no.
7 Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.
Wosɛe wɔn sɛ Tarsis ahyɛn a apuei mframa abɔ adwira wɔn.
8 As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. (Selah)
Sɛnea yɛate no, saa ara na yɛahu wɔ Asafo Awurade kuropɔn no mu, yɛn Nyankopɔn kuropɔn mu; Onyankopɔn ma etim hɔ afebɔɔ.
9 We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.
Wʼasɔredan no mu; Ao, Onyankopɔn, na yɛdwene wo dɔ a enni huammɔ da no ho,
10 According to thy name, O God, so [is] thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.
Ao, Onyankopɔn, wʼayeyi du asase ano te sɛ wo din te; trenee ayɛ wo nsa nifa mu ma.
11 Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.
Sion bepɔw di ahurusi, Yuda nkuraase no ani gye esiane wʼatemmu no nti.
12 Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.
Nantew Sion na twa ho hyia, kan nʼabantenten dodow,
13 Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell [it] to the generation following.
dwene nʼafasu ho yiye, hwɛ nʼabankɛse no, na woaka ho asɛm akyerɛ nkyirimma.
14 For this God [is] our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide [even] unto death.
Saa Onyankopɔn yi yɛ yɛn Nyankopɔn daa daa; ɔbɛyɛ yɛn kwankyerɛfo akosi awiei mpo.
