Psalms 48
1 A Song [and] Psalm for the sons of Korah. Great [is] the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, [in] the mountain of his holiness.
Nyanyian. Mazmur bani Korah. Besarlah TUHAN dan sangat terpuji di kota Allah kita!
2 Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, [is] mount Zion, [on] the sides of the north, the city of the great King.
Gunung-Nya yang kudus, yang menjulang permai, adalah kegirangan bagi seluruh bumi; gunung Sion itu, jauh di sebelah utara, kota Raja Besar.
3 God is known in her palaces for a refuge.
Dalam puri-purinya Allah memperkenalkan diri-Nya sebagai benteng.
4 For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.
Sebab lihat, raja-raja datang berkumpul, mereka bersama-sama berjalan maju;
5 They saw [it, and] so they marvelled; they were troubled, [and] hasted away.
demi mereka melihatnya, mereka tercengang-cengang, terkejut, lalu lari kebingungan.
6 Fear took hold upon them there, [and] pain, as of a woman in travail.
Kegentaran menimpa mereka di sana; mereka kesakitan seperti perempuan yang hendak melahirkan.
7 Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.
Dengan angin timur Engkau memecahkan kapal-kapal Tarsis.
8 As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. (Selah)
Seperti yang telah kita dengar, demikianlah juga kita lihat, di kota TUHAN semesta alam, di kota Allah kita; Allah menegakkannya untuk selama-lamanya. (Sela)
9 We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.
Kami mengingat, ya Allah, kasih setia-Mu di dalam bait-Mu.
10 According to thy name, O God, so [is] thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.
Seperti nama-Mu, ya Allah, demikianlah kemasyhuran-Mu sampai ke ujung bumi; tangan kanan-Mu penuh dengan keadilan.
11 Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.
Biarlah gunung Sion bersukacita; biarlah anak-anak perempuan Yehuda bersorak-sorak oleh karena penghukuman-Mu!
12 Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.
Kelilingilah Sion dan edarilah dia, hitunglah menaranya,
13 Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell [it] to the generation following.
perhatikanlah temboknya, jalanilah puri-purinya, supaya kamu dapat menceriterakannya kepada angkatan yang kemudian:
14 For this God [is] our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide [even] unto death.
Sesungguhnya inilah Allah, Allah kitalah Dia seterusnya dan untuk selamanya! Dialah yang memimpin kita!
