Psalms 37
1 [A Psalm] of David. Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
No te enojes con los malignos, ni tengas envidia de los que hacen iniquidad.
2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
Porque como yerba serán presto cortados: y como verdura de renuevo caerán.
3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; [so] shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
Espera en Jehová, y haz bien; vive en la tierra, y mantén verdad.
4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Y deléitate en Jehová: y él te dará las peticiones de tu corazón.
5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring [it] to pass.
Vuelve hacia Jehová tu camino: y espera en él, y él hará.
6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
Y sacará, como la lumbre, tu justicia: y tus derechos como el medio día.
7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
Calla a Jehová, y espera en él: no te enojes con el que prospera en su camino, con el hombre que hace maldades.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
Déjate de la ira, y deja el enojo: no te enojes en ninguna manera para hacerte malo.
9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
Porque los malignos serán talados: y los que esperan a Jehová, ellos heredarán la tierra.
10 For yet a little while, and the wicked [shall] not [be: ] yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it [shall] not [be].
Y de aquí a poco no será el malo: y contemplarás sobre su lugar, y no parecerá.
11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
Y los mansos heredarán la tierra; y deleitarse han con la multitud de la paz.
12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.
Piensa el impío contra el justo; y cruje sobre él sus dientes.
13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.
El Señor se reirá de él: porque ve que vendrá su día.
14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, [and] to slay such as be of upright conversation.
Los impíos desenvainaron espada, y entesaron su arco, para hacer arruinar al pobre y al menesteroso: para degollar a los que andan camino derecho.
15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
La espada de ellos entrará en su mismo corazón; y su arco será quebrado.
16 A little that a righteous man hath [is] better than the riches of many wicked.
Mejor es lo poco del justo, que las riquezas de muchos pecadores.
17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.
Porque los brazos de los impíos serán quebrados: y el que sustenta a los justos es Jehová.
18 The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.
Conoce Jehová los días de los perfectos: y su heredad será para siempre.
19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
No serán avergonzados en el mal tiempo: y en los días de la hambre serán hartos.
20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD [shall be] as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.
Porque los impíos perecerán; y los enemigos de Jehová, como lo principal de los carneros, serán consumidos: como humo se consumirán.
21 The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.
El impío toma prestado, y no paga: y el justo tiene misericordia, y da.
22 For [such as be] blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and [they that be] cursed of him shall be cut off.
Porque los benditos de él, heredarán la tierra: y los malditos de él, serán talados.
23 The steps of a [good] man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
Por Jehová son ordenados los pasos del hombre piadoso, y él quiere su camino.
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth [him with] his hand.
Cuando cayere, no será postrado: porque Jehová sustenta su mano.
25 I have been young, and [now] am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
Mozo fui, y he envejecido, y no he visto justo desamparado, ni su simiente que busque pan.
26 [He is] ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed [is] blessed.
Todo el día tiene misericordia, y presta: y su simiente es para bendición.
27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
Apártate del mal, y haz el bien: y vivirás para siempre.
28 For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
Porque Jehová ama el derecho, y no desamparará a sus misericordiosos; para siempre serán guardados: y la simiente de los impíos será talada.
29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.
Los justos heredarán la tierra, y vivirán para siempre sobre ella.
30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
La boca del justo hablará sabiduría, y su lengua hablará juicio.
31 The law of his God [is] in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
La ley de su Dios está en su corazón, por tanto sus pies no titubearán.
32 The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.
Asecha el impío al justo, y procura matarle.
33 The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
Jehová no le dejará en sus manos; ni le condenará cuando le juzgaren.
34 Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see [it].
Espera a Jehová, y guarda su camino, y él te ensalzará para heredar la tierra: cuando los pecadores serán talados, verás.
35 I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
Yo ví al impío robusto, y reverdeciendo como un laurel verde:
36 Yet he passed away, and, lo, he [was] not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.
Y se pasó, y he aquí no parece: y le busqué, y no fue hallado.
37 Mark the perfect [man], and behold the upright: for the end of [that] man [is] peace.
Considera al perfecto, y mira por el recto, porque la postrimería de cada uno de ellos es paz.
38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.
Mas los rebelados fueron todos a una destruidos: la postrimería de los impíos fue talada.
39 But the salvation of the righteous [is] of the LORD: [he is] their strength in the time of trouble.
Y la salud de los justos fue Jehová, y su fortaleza en el tiempo de la angustia:
40 And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
Y Jehová los ayudó, y los escapa, y los escapará de los impíos: y los salvará, por cuanto esperaron en él.
