Psalms 35
1 [A Psalm] of David. Plead [my cause], O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.
Oh Señor, sé de mi lado contra los que me juzgan; pelea con aquellos que hacen la guerra contra mí.
2 Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help.
Toma tu escudo, y dame tu ayuda.
3 Draw out also the spear, and stop [the way] against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I [am] thy salvation.
Toma tu lanza y retén a mis atacantes; di a mi alma, yo soy tu salvación.
4 Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.
Dejen que sean vencidos y avergonzados quienes intentan tomar mi alma; deja que los que me hacen daño sean rechazados y confundidos.
5 Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase [them].
Sean como el polvo del grano delante del viento; deja que el ángel del Señor los envíe en vuelo.
6 Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the LORD persecute them.
Dejen que su camino sea oscuro y peligroso y él ángel del Señor los persiga.
7 For without cause have they hid for me their net [in] a pit, [which] without cause they have digged for my soul.
Porque sin causa me han preparado una red secretamente, para tomar mi alma.
8 Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.
¡Que la destrucción venga sobre ellos. caigan en su propia trampa! ¡Que caigan en desgracia!
9 And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation.
Y mi alma se gozará en el Señor; se alegrará en su salvación.
10 All my bones shall say, LORD, who [is] like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?
Todos mis huesos dirán: Señor, ¿quién como tú? El salvador del pobre de las manos del más fuerte que el, del pobre y necesitado del que toma sus bienes?
11 False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge [things] that I knew not.
Falsos testigos se levantaron: me hicieron preguntas sobre crímenes de los que no tenía conocimiento.
12 They rewarded me evil for good [to] the spoiling of my soul.
Ellos me devolvieron el mal por bien. perturbando mi alma.
13 But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing [was] sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.
Pero en cuanto a mí, cuando estaban enfermos, me puse la ropa áspera, de cilicio: ayunaba y estaba triste, y mi oración volvió a mi corazón.
14 I behaved myself as though [he had been] my friend [or] brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth [for his] mother.
Mi comportamiento fue como si hubiera sido mi amigo o mi hermano: estaba angustiado como alguien cuya madre está muerta.
15 But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: [yea], the abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew [it] not; they did tear [me], and ceased not:
Pero ellos se complacieron en mi aflicción, y se juntaron, sí, se juntaron contra mí gentes despreciables, y yo no lo entendía; me despedazaban sin descanso.
16 With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.
Como lisonjeros, escarnecedores y truhanes, crujieron contra mí sus dientes.
17 Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions.
Señor, ¿cuánto tiempo estarás mirando? quita mi alma de su destrucción, mi vida de los leones.
18 I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people.
Te alabaré en la gran reunión; Te daré honor entre un pueblo numeroso.
19 Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: [neither] let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.
No permitas que se alegren de mí los que sin causa son mis enemigos; no permitas que los que me aborrecen sin causa guiñen el ojo maliciosamente.
20 For they speak not peace: but they devise deceitful matters against [them that are] quiet in the land.
Porque no dicen palabras de paz; en su engaño hacen planes traicioneros contra los mansos.
21 Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me, [and] said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen [it].
Sus bocas se abrieron ampliamente contra mí, y dijeron: ¡Ajá, ajá, nuestros ojos lo han visto!
22 [This] thou hast seen, O LORD: keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me.
Has visto esto, oh Señor; no calles: Oh Señor, no te alejes de mí.
23 Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgment, [even] unto my cause, my God and my Lord.
¡Despierta, oh Señor, muévete! Hazme justicia. mi Dios y mi Señor para defender mi causa.
24 Judge me, O LORD my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me.
Sé mi juez, oh Señor mi Dios, en tu justicia; no dejes que se alegren de mí.
25 Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up.
¡No digan en sus corazones: lo tenemos! no digan: Acabamos con él.
26 Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify [themselves] against me.
Sean avergonzados y confundidos todos los que se complacen en mis aflicciones. y vengan a la nada; los que se enaltecen contra mí sean cubiertos de vergüenza.
27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
Dejen que los que están de mi lado den gritos de alegría; que digan siempre: El Señor sea alabado, porque se complace en la paz de su siervo.
28 And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness [and] of thy praise all the day long.
Y mi lengua hablará de tu justicia y de tu alabanza todo el día.
