< Psalms 34 >

1 [A Psalm] of David, when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech; who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise [shall] continually [be] in my mouth.
[Abimelek hmai ah a omih te a thovael tih a haek dongah a caeh vaengkah David] A tuetang boeih dongah BOEIPA te ka uem vetih, ka ka dongah amah koehnah om yoeyah saeh.
2 My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear [thereof], and be glad.
Ka hinglu loh BOEIPA dongah thangthen saeh. kodo rhoek loh ya saeh lamtah a kohoe uh saeh.
3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.
BOEIPA te kai neh pomsang uh sih lamtah a ming te tun pomsang uh sih.
4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
BOEIPA te ka tlap vaengah kai n'doo tih ka rhihnahkoi boeih lamloh kai n'huul.
5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
BOEIPA te a paelki vaengah hlampan uh tih a maelhmai tal uh pawh.
6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard [him], and saved him out of all his troubles.
Mangdaeng loh a khue te khaw BOEIPA loh a yaak dongah citcai boeih lamkah anih te a khang.
7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
Amah aka rhih rhoek kah kaepvai ah BOEIPA kah puencawn te rhaeh tih amih te a pumcum sak.
8 O taste and see that the LORD [is] good: blessed [is] the man [that] trusteth in him.
Ten lamtah BOEIPA then tila hmuh lah. Amah dongah aka ying hlang tah a yoethen.
9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for [there is] no want to them that fear him.
Amah aka rhih rhoek ham tah a tloelnah a om pawt dongah a hlang cim rhoek loh BOEIPA te rhih uh lah.
10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good [thing].
Sathuengca rhoek loh vawtthoek tih lamlum cakhaw BOEIPA aka tlap rhoek ham hnothen pakhat khaw vaitah uh mahpawh.
11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
Camoe rhoek halo uh. Kai ol he ya uh lah. BOEIPA hinyahnah te nangmih kan cang puei eh.
12 What man [is he that] desireth life, [and] loveth [many] days, that he may see good?
Khohnin then hmuh ham aka lungnah tih hingnah dongah aka omtoem hlang te ulae?
13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
Na lai te a thae lamkah, na ka te thailatnah aka thui lamloh rhalrhing lah.
14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
A thae te nong tak lamtah hnothen te saii lah. Rhoepnah te tlap lamtah anih te hloem lah.
15 The eyes of the LORD [are] upon the righteous, and his ears [are open] unto their cry.
Hlang dueng rhoek soah BOEIPA mik om tih amih kah a pang uh te a hna a kaeng.
16 The face of the LORD [is] against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
Thae aka saii rhoek te diklai kah poekkoepnah lamkah khoe ham BOEIPA loh a hmai a thuh.
17 [The righteous] cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
Hlang dueng rhoek a pang uh vaengah BOEIPA loh a yaak tih amamih kah citcai boeih lamkah amih te a huul.
18 The LORD [is] nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Lungbuei aka rhek taengah BOEIPA a yoei pah tih mueihla aka hnipdik te a khang.
19 Many [are] the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
Hlang dueng kah yoethae he yet dae yoethae khui boeih lamkah anih te BOEIPA loh a huul.
20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
Anih kah a rhuh boeih a ngaithuen pah dongah pakhat khaw paep mahpawh.
21 Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.
Halang te boethae loh a duek sak vetih, hlang dueng aka hmuhuet te boe ni.
22 The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.
A sal rhoek kah a hinglu te BOEIPA loh a lat tih amah dongah aka ying boeih tah boe uh mahpawh.
