Psalms 33
1 Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: [for] praise is comely for the upright.
¡Alégrense, oh justos, en Yavé! En los íntegros es hermosa la alabanza.
2 Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery [and] an instrument of ten strings.
Den gracias a Yavé con arpa. Cántenle con el arpa de diez cuerdas.
3 Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.
Cántenle canto nuevo. ¡Háganlo bien, tañan con júbilo!
4 For the word of the LORD [is] right; and all his works [are done] in truth.
Pues recta es la Palabra de Yavé, Y toda su obra es hecha con fidelidad.
5 He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.
Él ama la rectitud y la justicia. De la misericordia de Yavé está llena la tierra.
6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
Por la Palabra de Yavé fueron hechos los cielos, Y todas sus constelaciones por el aliento de su boca.
7 He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.
Él reúne como en una pila las aguas del mar. Él pone en depósitos los abismos.
8 Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
¡Tema a Yavé toda la tierra! ¡Tiemblen delante de Él todos los habitantes del mundo!
9 For he spake, and it was [done; ] he commanded, and it stood fast.
Porque Él dijo y fue hecho. Él ordenó y apareció.
10 The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.
Yavé anula el consejo de las naciones. Él frustra los planes de los pueblos.
11 The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
El consejo de Yavé permanece para siempre, Y los planes de su corazón por todas las generaciones.
12 Blessed [is] the nation whose God [is] the LORD; [and] the people [whom] he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
¡Cuán bendecida es la nación cuyo ʼElohim es Yavé, El pueblo que Él escogió como su propia heredad!
13 The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.
Yavé ve desde el cielo. Mira a todos los hijos de [los] hombres.
14 From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.
Desde el lugar de su morada Observa a todos los habitantes de la tierra.
15 He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.
El que forma los corazones de todos ellos Considera todas sus acciones.
16 There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
El rey no se salva por la multitud del ejército, Ni el poderoso escapa por la mucha fuerza.
17 An horse [is] a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver [any] by his great strength.
Vano es el caballo para la victoria. No libra a cualquiera con su gran fuerza.
18 Behold, the eye of the LORD [is] upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
Ahí está el ojo de Yavé sobre los que le temen, Sobre los que esperan en su misericordia
19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
Para salvar su vida de la muerte Y mantenerlos vivos en tiempo de hambre.
20 Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he [is] our help and our shield.
Nuestras almas esperan a Yavé. Él es nuestra Ayuda y nuestro Escudo.
21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.
Por tanto, en Él se alegra nuestro corazón, Porque confiamos en su santo Nombre.
22 Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
Que tu misericordia, oh Yavé, sea sobre nosotros, Según esperamos en Ti.
