Psalms 31
1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.
૧મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે. દાઉદનું ગીત. હે યહોવાહ, હું તમારા ઉપર આધાર રાખું છું; મારી જરા પણ બદનામી થવા દેતા નહિ. તમારા ન્યાયીપણાથી મારું રક્ષણ કરો.
2 Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.
૨મારું સાંભળો; ઉતાવળથી મને છોડાવો; તમે મારે માટે મજબૂત ગઢ તથા મારા બચાવને માટે કિલ્લો થાઓ.
3 For thou [art] my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake lead me, and guide me.
૩કેમ કે તમે મારા ખડક અને કિલ્લો છો; માટે તમારા નામની ખાતર મને દોરવણી આપો અને મને ચલાવો.
4 Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou [art] my strength.
૪મારા શત્રુઓએ પાથરેલી ગુપ્ત જાળમાંથી મને બચાવો, કારણ કે તમે મારો આશ્રય છો.
5 Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.
૫હું મારો આત્મા તમારા હાથમાં સોંપુ છું; હે યહોવાહ, સત્યના ઈશ્વર, તમે મારો ઉદ્ધાર કર્યો છે.
6 I have hated them that regard lying vanities: but I trust in the LORD.
૬જુઠા દેવોની પૂજા કરનારને હું ધિક્કારું છું, પણ હું યહોવાહ પર ભરોસો રાખું છું.
7 I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities;
૭હું તમારી દયાથી આનંદ કરીશ તથા હરખાઈશ, કેમ કે તમે મારું દુ: ખ જોયું છે; તમે મારા આત્માની વિપત્તિઓ જાણી છે.
8 And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room.
૮તમે મને શત્રુઓના હાથમાં સોંપ્યો નથી. તમે મારા પગ વિશાળ જગ્યા પર સ્થિર કર્યા છે.
9 Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, [yea], my soul and my belly.
૯હે યહોવાહ, મારા પર દયા કરો, કેમ કે હું સંકટમાં છું; ખેદથી મારી આંખ, મારો પ્રાણ તથા મારું શરીર ક્ષીણ થાય છે.
10 For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones are consumed.
૧૦કેમ કે સંતાપથી મારી જિંદગી અને નિસાસાથી મારાં વર્ષો વહી જાય છે. મારા ત્રાસના કારણે મારું બળ ઘટે છે અને મારાં હાડકાં ક્ષીણ થાય છે.
11 I was a reproach among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me.
૧૧મારા સર્વ દુશ્મનોને લીધે લોકો મને મહેણાં મારે છે; મારા પડોશીઓ તો મારી અતિશય નિંદા કરે છે અને મારા ઓળખીતાઓને મારો ભય લાગે છે. જે કોઈ મને મહોલ્લાઓમાં જુએ છે, તે જોતાંની સાથે જ મારી પાસેથી નાસી જાય છે.
12 I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.
૧૨મૃત્યુ પામેલા મનુષ્યની જેમ હું વિસરાઈ ગયો છું, જેના વિષે કોઈ વિચારતું પણ નથી. હું તૂટી ગયેલા વાસણ જેવો છું.
13 For I have heard the slander of many: fear [was] on every side: while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life.
૧૩કેમ કે મેં ઘણાંને તેઓને મુખે મારી બદનક્ષી કરતાં સાંભળ્યા છે, ચારે બાજુ ધાસ્તી છે તેઓ ભેગા થઈને મારી વિરુદ્ધ કાવતરાં ઘડે છે. તેઓ મારો જીવ લેવાની યોજનાઓ ઘડે છે.
14 But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou [art] my God.
૧૪પણ, હે યહોવાહ, હું તમારા પર ભરોસો રાખું છું; મેં કહ્યું, “તમે મારા ઈશ્વર છો.”
15 My times [are] in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.
૧૫મારા સર્વ પ્રસંગો તમારા હાથમાં છે. મારા શત્રુઓના હાથમાંથી તથા જેઓ મારો પીછો કરી રહ્યા છે તેઓનાથી મને બચાવો.
16 Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies’ sake.
૧૬તમારા સેવક ઉપર તમારા મુખનો પ્રકાશ પાડો; તમારી કૃપાથી મને બચાવો.
17 Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, [and] let them be silent in the grave. (Sheol h7585)
૧૭હે યહોવાહ, મારી બદનામી થવા દેતા નહિ; કેમ કે મેં તમને વિનંતિ કરી છે! દુષ્ટો લજ્જિત થાઓ! તેઓ ચૂપચાપ શેઓલમાં પડી રહો. (Sheol h7585)
18 Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.
૧૮જે જૂઠા હોઠ ન્યાયી માણસોની વિરુદ્ધ ગર્વથી તથા તિરસ્કારથી અભિમાની વાત બોલે છે તે મૂંગા થાઓ.
19 [Oh] how great [is] thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; [which] thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!
૧૯જે ઉદારતા તમારા ભક્તોને માટે તમે રાખી મૂકી છે, તથા તમારા પર ભરોસો રાખનારને માટે મનુષ્યોની આગળ તમે દર્શાવી છે, તે કેટલી મોટી છે!
20 Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.
૨૦તમે તમારી સંમુખ તેઓને સંતાડી રાખશો અને તેઓનાં કાવતરાં વિરુદ્ધ રક્ષણ કરશો. તમે તમારા નિવાસસ્થાનમાં તેઓને સુરક્ષિત રાખશો અને તેઓને અનિષ્ટ જીભોથી બચાવશો.
21 Blessed [be] the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city.
૨૧યહોવાહની સ્તુતિ થાઓ, કેમ કે તેમણે મારા પર અસીમ વિશ્વાસુપણું દર્શાવ્યુ છે. જ્યારે દુશ્મનોએ નગરને ઘેરી લીધું હતું, ત્યારે તેમણે મારા પર અદ્દભુત દયા કરી.
22 For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.
૨૨અધીરતાથી મેં કહી દીધું હતું કે, “તમે તમારી દ્રષ્ટિ આગળથી મને દૂર કર્યો છે,” તોપણ મેં જ્યારે તમને મદદને માટે વિનંતી કરી, ત્યારે તમે મારું સાંભળ્યું.
23 O love the LORD, all ye his saints: [for] the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.
૨૩હે યહોવાહના સર્વ ભક્તો, તમે તેમના પર પ્રેમ રાખો. યહોવાહ વિશ્વાસીઓની રક્ષા કરે છે, પણ અભિમાનીને પુષ્કળ બદલો આપે છે.
24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.
૨૪જે સર્વ યહોવાહ પર મદદને માટે ભરોસો રાખે છે, તે બળવાન તથા હિંમતવાન થાઓ.
