Psalms 22
1 To the chief Musician upon Aijeleth Shahar, A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? [why art thou so] far from helping me, [and from] the words of my roaring?
Moj Bog, moj Bog, zakaj si me zapustil? Zakaj si tako daleč proč od pomoči meni in od besed mojega vpitja?
2 O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.
Oh moj Bog, jokam podnevi, toda ti me ne uslišiš in v nočnem času in nisem tiho.
3 But thou [art] holy, [O thou] that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
Toda ti si svet, oh ti, ki naseljuješ Izraelove hvalnice.
4 Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.
Naši očetje so zaupali vate. Zaupali so in si jih osvobodil.
5 They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.
Klicali so k tebi in so bili osvobojeni. Zaupali so vate in niso bili zbegani.
6 But I [am] a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.
Toda jaz sem [škrlatni] črv in ne mož; graja ljudem in preziran od ljudstva.
7 All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, [saying],
Vsi, ki me vidijo, se mi smejijo do norčevanja. Namrdnejo ustnico [in] zmajujejo z glavo, rekoč:
8 He trusted on the LORD [that] he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.
»Zaupal je v Gospoda, da ga bo osvobodil. Naj ga reši, glede na to, da se je razveseljeval v njem.«
9 But thou [art] he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope [when I was] upon my mother’s breasts.
Toda ti si ta, ki me je potegnil iz maternice. Oblikoval si mi zaupanje, ko sem bil na prsih svoje matere.
10 I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou [art] my God from my mother’s belly.
Iz maternice sem bil vržen nate. Ti si moj Bog od trebuha moje matere.
11 Be not far from me; for trouble [is] near; for [there is] none to help.
Ne bodi daleč od mene, kajti stiska je blizu, kajti nikogar ni, da pomaga.
12 Many bulls have compassed me: strong [bulls] of Bashan have beset me round.
Obdalo me je mnogo bikov. Močni bašánski biki so me obdali naokoli.
13 They gaped upon me [with] their mouths, [as] a ravening and a roaring lion.
S svojimi gobci so zevali vame, kakor ropa željan in rjoveč lev.
14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.
Izlit sem kakor voda in vse moje kosti so izpahnjene. Moje srce je podobno vosku, stopljeno je v sredi moje notranjosti.
15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.
Moja moč je izsušena kakor črepinja in moj jezik se lepi k mojim čeljustim in ti si me privedel v smrtni prah.
16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
Kajti psi so me obdali. Zajel me je zbor zlobnih. Prebodli so moje roke in moja stopala.
17 I may tell all my bones: they look [and] stare upon me.
Vse svoje kosti lahko razločim. Oni pa gledajo in strmijo vame.
18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.
Moje obleke si razdeljujejo med seboj in za mojo suknjo so metali žrebe.
19 But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.
Toda ti, oh Gospod, ne bodi daleč od mene. Oh moja moč, hiti, da mi pomagaš.
20 Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.
Osvobodi mojo dušo pred mečem, mojo ljubljeno pred močjo psa.
21 Save me from the lion’s mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.
Reši me pred levjimi usti, kajti uslišal si me pred rogovi samorogov.
22 I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.
Tvoje ime bom oznanjal svojim bratom. Na sredi skupnosti te bom hvalil.
23 Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.
Vi, ki se bojite Gospoda, hvalite ga, vsi vi, seme Jakobovo, proslavite ga, in bojte se ga, vsi vi, seme Izraelovo.
24 For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.
Kajti ni zaničeval niti preziral stiske stiskanih niti svojega obraza ni skrival pred njim; toda ko je klical k njemu, je slišal.
25 My praise [shall be] of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.
Moja hvala v veliki skupnosti bo o tebi. Svoje zaobljube bom izpolnil pred tistimi, ki se ga bojijo.
26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.
Krotki bodo jedli in bodo nasičeni. Hvalili bodo Gospoda [tisti], ki ga iščejo. Vaše srce bo živelo na veke.
27 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.
Vsi konci zemlje se bodo spomnili in obrnili h Gospodu in vsa sorodstva narodov bodo oboževala pred teboj.
28 For the kingdom [is] the LORD’s: and he [is] the governor among the nations.
Kajti kraljestvo je Gospodovo in on je voditelj med narodi.
29 All [they that be] fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.
Vsi tisti, ki so na zemlji obilni, bodo jedli in oboževali. Vsi tisti, ki gredo dol v prah, se bodo poklonili pred njim, svoje lastne duše pa nihče ne more ohraniti žive.
30 A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.
Seme mu bo služilo; to bo šteto h Gospodu za rod.
31 They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done [this].
Prišli bodo in oznanjali bodo njegovo pravičnost ljudem, ki bodo rojeni, da je on to storil.
