Psalms 20

1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;

【求賜君王勝利】 達味詩歌，交與樂官。 願上主在憂患之日，俯允你，願雅各伯的天主，保祐你！

2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;

願祂從聖所救護你，願祂由熙雍扶助你！

3 Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; (Selah)

願祂追念你的一切祭獻，願祂悅納你的全燔祭獻！

4 Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.

願祂滿全你心中的志願，願祂玉成你的一切籌算！

5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up [our] banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.

我們要因你的勝利歡舞，奉我們天主的名豎立旗鼓：我的一切請求，願上主成就！

6 Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

我深信上主必賞祂的受傅者獲勝，以無敵右手救拯，從神聖的高天俯聽。

7 Some [trust] in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

他們或仗恃戰車，他們或仗恃戢馬；我們只以上主，我們天主的名自誇。

8 They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.

他們必將倒地喪命。我們卻將挺身立定。

9 Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call.

上主，求你賜給君王獲勝，我們求您時，請您俯允我們。
