Psalms 2
1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
Por qué se enfurecen las naciones, ¿y los pueblos traman una cosa vana?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, [saying],
Los reyes de la tierra toman posición, y los gobernantes se aconsejan entre sí, contra Yahvé y contra su Ungido, diciendo,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
“Rompamos sus vínculos, y arrojar sus cuerdas de nosotros”.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
El que está sentado en los cielos se reirá. El Señor se burlará de ellos.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
Entonces les hablará en su ira, y aterrorizarlos en su ira:
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
“Pero he puesto a mi Rey en mi santo monte de Sión”.
7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou [art] my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
Voy a contar el decreto: Yahvé me dijo: “Tú eres mi hijo. Hoy me he convertido en tu padre.
8 Ask of me, and I shall give [thee] the heathen [for] thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth [for] thy possession.
Pídeme y te daré las naciones como herencia, los confines de la tierra para su posesión.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
Los romperás con una vara de hierro. Los harás pedazos como una vasija de alfarero”.
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
Ahora, pues, sed sabios, reyes. Instrúyanse, jueces de la tierra.
11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Sirve a Yahvé con temor, y se regocija con el temblor.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish [from] the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed [are] all they that put their trust in him.
Dad un homenaje sincero al Hijo, no sea que se enfade y perezcáis en el camino, porque su ira pronto se encenderá. Dichosos los que se refugian en él.
