< Psalms 19 >
1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Ya Mukulu wa Bayimbi. Zabbuli ya Dawudi. Eggulu litegeeza ekitiibwa kya Katonda, ebbanga ne litegeeza emirimu gy’emikono gye.
2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
Buli lunaku litegeeza ekitiibwa kye, era liraga amagezi ge buli kiro.
3 [There is] no speech nor language, [where] their voice is not heard.
Tewali bigambo oba olulimi olwogerwa, era n’eddoboozi lyabyo teriwulikika.
4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
Naye obubaka bwabyo bubunye mu nsi yonna. Mu ggulu omwo Katonda mwe yasimbira enjuba eweema.
5 Which [is] as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, [and] rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
Evaayo ng’awasa omugole bw’ava mu nju ye, era ng’omuddusi asinga bonna bw’ajjula essanyu ng’agenda mu mpaka.
6 His going forth [is] from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
Evaayo ku ludda olumu olw’eggulu, ne yeetooloola okutuuka ku nkomerero yaalyo, era tewali kyekweka bbugumu lyayo.
7 The law of the LORD [is] perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD [is] sure, making wise the simple.
Ekiragiro kya Mukama kirimu byonna, era kizzaamu amaanyi mu mwoyo. Etteeka lya Mukama lyesigika, ligeziwaza abatalina magezi.
8 The statutes of the LORD [are] right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD [is] pure, enlightening the eyes.
Okuyigiriza kwa Mukama kutuufu, kusanyusa omutima gw’oyo akugondera. Ebiragiro bya Mukama bimulisiza amaaso, bye galaba.
9 The fear of the LORD [is] clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD [are] true [and] righteous altogether.
Okutya Mukama kirungi, era kya mirembe gyonna. Ebiragiro bya Mukama bya bwenkanya, era bya butuukirivu ddala.
10 More to be desired [are they] than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Ebyo byonna bisaana okuyaayaanirwa okusinga zaabu, okusingira ddala zaabu ennungi ennyo. Biwoomerera okusinga omubisi gw’enjuki, okusukkirira omubisi gw’enjuki ogutonnya nga guva mu bisenge byagwo.
11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: [and] in keeping of them [there is] great reward.
Ebyo bye birabula omuddu wo, era mu kubigondera muvaamu empeera ennene.
12 Who can understand [his] errors? cleanse thou me from secret [faults].
Ani asobola okulaba ebyonoono bye? Onsonyiwe, Ayi Mukama, ebibi ebinkisiddwa.
13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous [sins; ] let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
Era omuddu wo omuwonye okukola ebibi ebigenderere, bireme kunfuga. Bwe ntyo mbeere ng’ataliiko kyakunenyezebwa nneme okuzza omusango omunene ogw’ekibi.
14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
Nsaba ebigambo by’omu kamwa kange, n’okulowooza okw’omu mutima gwange, bisiimibwe mu maaso go, Ayi Mukama, Olwazi lwange, era Omununuzi wange.
