Psalms 17
1 A Prayer of David. Hear the right, O LORD, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, [that goeth] not out of feigned lips.
【無辜者的懇禱】上主，請靜聽我的伸訴，俯聽我的呼號，請傾聽我出自絕虛偽唇舌的祈禱。
2 Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal.
願我的案件在你面前判決，願你的眼睛細察何為清白!
3 Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited [me] in the night; thou hast tried me, [and] shalt find nothing; I am purposed [that] my mouth shall not transgress.
任你考驗我的心靈，夜間來視察我，以火鍛鍊我，你總找不到我的邪惡。因我的口總未像人一樣犯了罪過。
4 Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept [me from] the paths of the destroyer.
我依照你的訓令，遵行法律的正道。
5 Hold up my goings in thy paths, [that] my footsteps slip not.
我的雙腳緊隨了你的腳印，我的腳步決不致蹣跚不定。
6 I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, [ and hear] my speech.
天主，我向你呼號，請你回答我，求你側耳聽我，俯聽我的祈禱。
7 Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust [in thee] from those that rise up [against them].
請你彰現你奇妙的慈愛，將投奔到你身右邊的人，從敵人的危害中救出來。
8 Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,
求你護衛我有如眼中的瞳仁，在你雙翼的庇護下叫我藏身，
9 From the wicked that oppress me, [from] my deadly enemies, [who] compass me about.
使我脫離害我的暴民，及那企圖消滅我的仇人，
10 They are inclosed in their own fat: with their mouth they speak proudly.
他們關閉了鐵石的心腸，口中語言盡是誇大狂妄，
11 They have now compassed us in our steps: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth;
他們的腳步現已把我緊逼，瞪著眼務要將我推倒在地。
12 Like as a lion [that] is greedy of his prey, and as it were a young lion lurking in secret places.
他們好似急於掠食的猛獅，他們又如伏在暗處的壯獅。
13 Arise, O LORD, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, [which is] thy sword:
上主，起來迎擊制服我的仇讎，上主揮動利劍救我脫離惡徒。
14 From men [which are] thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, [which have] their portion in [this] life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid [treasure: ] they are full of children, and leave the rest of their [substance] to their babes.
上主，求你親手將他們治死，殺死他們，使他們離開此世，滅絕他們，使他們不再呼吸。求你使義人享用你的財富，使他們的子女也心滿意足，再把剩餘的給自己的子女。
15 As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.
我因我的正義能享見你的聖顏，我醒來得能盡情欣賞你的慈面
