< Psalms 135 >

1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the name of the LORD; praise [him], O ye servants of the LORD.
阿肋路亞！上主的眾僕請讚頌，請讚頌上主的聖名！
2 Ye that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God,
您們服役於上主聖殿的，您們侍立在我主前庭的，
3 Praise the LORD; for the LORD [is] good: sing praises unto his name; for [it is] pleasant.
請歌頌上主，因為上主是美善的，歌詠祂的名，因祂的名是甘甜的。
4 For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, [and] Israel for his peculiar treasure.
雅各伯原是上主所選，以色列永遠作祂自己的家產。
5 For I know that the LORD [is] great, and [that] our Lord [is] above all gods.
我確實知道，上主偉大無比！我們的上主，超越所有神祇！
6 Whatsoever the LORD pleased, [that] did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.
上天及下地，海洋深淵的任何化工，上主只要願意，無一不由祂造成。
7 He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.
祂使雲彩由地面現露，祂使電光閃爍而成雨，祂使清風由寶庫發出。
8 Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.
祂將埃及的人和牲畜，凡首生者都一起殺戮。
9 [Who] sent tokens and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.
埃及！祂在您內行了奇蹟異能，懲罰了法郎和他的萬眾臣。
10 Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings;
祂擊敗了列國的萬民，祂殺死了強盛的國君：
11 Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan:
阿摩黎王息紅、巴商王敖格，以及客納罕地的王侯官吏。
12 And gave their land [for] an heritage, an heritage unto Israel his people.
祂將他們的土地變作產業，賜給了自己的人民以色列。
13 Thy name, O LORD, [endureth] for ever; [and] thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations.
上主，您的聖名千秋留存，上主，您的記念，萬世常新。
14 For the LORD will judge his people, and he will repent himself concerning his servants.
因為上主護衛自己的百姓，對自己的僕人們表示憐憫。
15 The idols of the heathen [are] silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.
異民的偶像，無非金銀，只是人手中的製造品：
16 They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;
偶像有口，而不能言；偶像有眼，而不能看；
17 They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there [any] breath in their mouths.
偶像有耳，而聽不見；偶像有鼻，而無氣喘。
18 They that make them are like unto them: [so is] every one that trusteth in them.
鑄造偶像的人，將與偶像同亡，凡信賴偶像的人，也將是一樣。
19 Bless the LORD, O house of Israel: bless the LORD, O house of Aaron:
以色列家族，請讚頌上主！亞郎家族，請讚頌上主！
20 Bless the LORD, O house of Levi: ye that fear the LORD, bless the LORD.
肋末的家族，請讚頌上主！敬愛上主的人讚頌上主！
21 Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
住在耶路撒冷的君王，願他由熙雍承受讚頌！
