< Psalms 13 >
1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?
Psalmus David, in finem. Usquequo Domine oblivisceris me in finem? Usquequo avertis faciem tuam a me?
2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, [having] sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?
Quamdiu ponam consilia in anima mea, dolorem in corde meo per diem?
3 Consider [and] hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the [sleep of] death;
Usquequo exaltabitur inimicus meus super me?
4 Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; [and] those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.
respice, et exaudi me Domine Deus meus. Illumina oculos meos ne umquam obdormiam in morte:
5 But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.
ne quando dicat inimicus meus: Praevalui adversus eum. Qui tribulant me, exultabunt si motus fuero:
6 I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.
ego autem in misericordia tua speravi. Exultabit cor meum in salutari tuo: cantabo Domino qui bona tribuit mihi: et psallam nomini Domini altissimi.
