Psalms 125

1 A Song of degrees. They that trust in the LORD [shall be] as mount Zion, [which] cannot be removed, [but] abideth for ever.

একটি আরোহণ সংগীত। যারা সদাপ্রভুর উপর আস্থা রাখে তারা সিয়োন পর্বতের মতো হয়, তারা পরাজিত হয় না অথচ চিরস্থায়ী হয়।

2 As the mountains [are] round about Jerusalem, so the LORD [is] round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

পর্বতমালা যেমন জেরুশালেমকে ঘিরে আছে, সদাপ্রভু তেমনই তাঁর প্রজাদের চারিদিকে আছেন এখন থেকে অনন্তকাল পর্যন্ত।

3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.

দুষ্টরা ধার্মিকদের দেশে রাজত্ব করবে না, কারণ তাহলে ধার্মিকেরা হয়তো মন্দ কাজ করার জন্য প্রলোভিত হতে পারে।

4 Do good, O LORD, unto [those that be] good, and [to them that are] upright in their hearts.

হে সদাপ্রভু, যারা ভালো কাজ করে, যারা হৃদয়ে ন্যায়পরায়ণ, তুমি তাদের মঙ্গল করো।

5 As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: [but] peace [shall be] upon Israel.

কিন্তু যারা ভুল পথে পা বাড়ায় সদাপ্রভু তাদের অনিষ্টকারীদের সাথে দূর করে দেবেন। ইস্রায়েলে শান্তি বিরাজ করুক।
