Psalms 121

1 A Song of degrees. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

Une chanson d'ascension. Je lèverai mes yeux vers les collines. D'où vient mon aide?

2 My help [cometh] from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

Mon secours vient de Yahvé, qui a fait le ciel et la terre.

3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Il ne permettra pas que votre pied soit déplacé. Celui qui vous garde ne sommeille pas.

4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

Voici, celui qui garde Israël ne sommeilleront ni ne dormiront.

5 The LORD [is] thy keeper: the LORD [is] thy shade upon thy right hand.

Yahvé est ton gardien. Yahvé est ton ombre à ta droite.

6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

Le soleil ne te fera pas de mal pendant le jour, ni la lune la nuit.

7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

L'Éternel te gardera de tout mal. Il gardera votre âme.

8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Yahvé veillera à ce que tu sortes et à ce que tu entres, à partir de maintenant et pour toujours.
