< Psalms 114 >
1 When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;
Israel loe Izip prae thung hoiah tacawt, Jakob ih imthung takoh loe kalah prae kaminawk khae hoiah angzoh naah,
2 Judah was his sanctuary, [and] Israel his dominion.
Judah loe angmah ih hmuenciim ah oh, Israel loe a ukhaih prae ah oh.
3 The sea saw [it], and fled: Jordan was driven back.
Tuipui mah Sithaw to hnuk naah, cawnh ving; Jordan vapui loe amlaem let.
4 The mountains skipped like rams, [and] the little hills like lambs.
Maenawk loe tuu taenawk baktih, maesomnawk loe tuu caanawk baktiah angphet o.
5 What [ailed] thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, [that] thou wast driven back?
Aw tuipui nang, tipongah na cawnh ving, Aw Jordan vapui nang, tipongah nam laem let loe?
6 Ye mountains, [that] ye skipped like rams; [and] ye little hills, like lambs?
Nangcae maenawk, tipongah tuu taenawk baktih, nangcae maesomnawk, tipongah tuu caanawk baktiah nang phet o loe?
7 Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;
Aw long nang, Angraeng hmaa hoi Jakob ih Sithaw hmaa ah, tasoeh ah,
8 Which turned the rock [into] a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
