Psalms 113

1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD.

Louez le Seigneur, enfants, louez le nom du Seigneur.

2 Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore.

Soit le nom du Seigneur béni, dès ce moment et jusqu’à jamais.

3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD’s name [is] to be praised.

Du lever du soleil jusqu’à son coucher, louable est le nom du Seigneur.

4 The LORD [is] high above all nations, [and] his glory above the heavens.

Il est élevé au-dessus de toutes les nations, le Seigneur, et au-dessus des cieux est sa gloire.

5 Who [is] like unto the LORD our God, who dwelleth on high,

Qui est comme le Seigneur notre Dieu, qui habite dans les lieux les plus élevés,

6 Who humbleth [himself] to behold [the things that are] in heaven, and in the earth!

Et regarde les choses basses dans le ciel et sur la terre?

7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, [and] lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;

Qui tire de la terre l’homme sans ressource, et qui relève du fumier le pauvre;

8 That he may set [him] with princes, [even] with the princes of his people.

Afin de le placer avec des princes, avec les princes de son peuple.

9 He maketh the barren woman to keep house, [and to be] a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD.

Qui fait habiter la femme stérile dans une maison où il lui donne la joie d’être mère de plusieurs enfants.
