Proverbs 7
1 My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.
ಮಗನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೋ.
2 Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.
ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ ಬಾಳು; ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗುಡ್ಡೆಯಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ಕಟ್ಟಳೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡು.
3 Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.
ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬೆರಳುಗಳಿಗೆ ಉಂಗುರವಾಗಿಟ್ಟುಕೋ; ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದ ಹಲಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆ.
4 Say unto wisdom, Thou [art] my sister; and call understanding [thy] kinswoman:
ಜ್ಞಾನಕ್ಕೆ, “ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರಿ,” ಎಂದೂ, ಒಳನೋಟಕ್ಕೆ, “ನನ್ನ ಬಂಧು” ಎಂದೂ ಹೇಳು.
5 That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger [which] flattereth with her words.
ಅವು ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರಿಣಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಸವಿಮಾತನಾಡುವ ದಾರಿತಪ್ಪಿದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯಿಂದಲೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುತ್ತವೆ.
6 For at the window of my house I looked through my casement,
ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಯ ಕಿಟಿಕಿಯ ಜಾಲರಿಯಿಂದ ಇಣಕಿ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ,
7 And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,
ಮುಗ್ಧರ ನಡುವೆ, ಯುವಕರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥನನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆನು.
8 Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house,
ಅವನು ಅವಳ ಮೂಲೆ ಮನೆಯ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀದಿಯಿಂದ ಹಾದುಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
9 In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night:
ಸಂಜೆಯ ಮಬ್ಬಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ಕತ್ತಲೆಯು ಕವಿಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
10 And, behold, there met him a woman [with] the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.
ಇಗೋ, ವೇಶ್ಯೆಯ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಒಬ್ಬ ಕಪಟ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಂಡಳು.
11 (She [is] loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house:
ಅವಳು ಕೂಗಾಟದವಳು, ಹಟಮಾರಿ; ಅವಳ ಪಾದಗಳು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
12 Now [is she] without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)
ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಚೌಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೀಗೆ ಅವಳು ಮೂಲೆ ಮೂಲೆಗೂ ಹೊಂಚು ಹಾಕುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
13 So she caught him, and kissed him, [and] with an impudent face said unto him,
ಅವಳು ಆ ಯುವಕನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಮುದ್ದಿಟ್ಟು, ನಾಚಿಕೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವಳು ಹೀಗೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾಳೆ:
14 [I have] peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows.
“ಈ ದಿವಸ ನನ್ನ ಹರಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಸಮಾಧಾನದ ಯಜ್ಞವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
15 Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.
ಆದಕಾರಣ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದೆನು; ಅತ್ಯಾಶೆಯಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿ ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
16 I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved [works], with fine linen of Egypt.
ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನ ನಯವಾದ ನಾರು ಮಡಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ನನ್ನ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
17 I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.
ರಕ್ತಬೋಳ, ಅಗರು, ಲವಂಗ, ಚಕ್ಕೆಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಸುವಾಸನೆಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
18 Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves.
ಬಾ, ಬೆಳಗಿನವರೆಗೂ ತೃಪ್ತಿಯಾಗುವ ತನಕ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ವಶದಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬಿಕೊಂಡು ಕಾಮ ವಿಲಾಸಗಳಿಂದ ನಾವು ಸಂತೋಷಿಸೋಣ.
19 For the goodman [is] not at home, he is gone a long journey:
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯಜಮಾನನು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಅವನು ದೀರ್ಘ ಪ್ರಯಾಣದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
20 He hath taken a bag of money with him, [and] will come home at the day appointed.
ಅವನು ತನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹಣದ ಗಂಟನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಹುಣ್ಣಿಮೆಗೆ ಮುಂಚೆ ಅವನು ಮನೆಗೆ ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.”
21 With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him.
ಮನವೊಲಿಸುವ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಅವಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ದಾರಿ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ, ಅವಳು ತನ್ನ ಮೋಹಕ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
22 He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;
ಎತ್ತು ವಧೆಯ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವಂತೆ, ಅಥವಾ ಜಿಂಕೆಯು ಬಲೆಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಬೀಳುವಂತೆ,
23 Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it [is] for his life.
ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಅಪಾಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವುದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯದೆ, ಒಂದು ಬಾಣವು ತನ್ನ ಕಾಳಿಜವನ್ನು ತಿವಿಯುವವರೆಗೆ, ಪಕ್ಷಿಯು ಬಲೆಯ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಓಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನು ತಟ್ಟನೆ ಅವಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.
24 Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ನನಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಿರಿ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಲಿಸಿರಿ.
25 Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.
ಅವಳ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಿಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯವು ತಿರುಗದೆ ಇರಲಿ; ತಪ್ಪಿಯೂ ಅವಳ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗಬೇಡಿರಿ.
26 For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong [men] have been slain by her.
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅನೇಕರು ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಬಲಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರಾದ ಅನೇಕ ಪುರುಷರು ಅವಳಿಂದ ಹತರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
