< Proverbs 28 >

1 The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.
Migilou chu koima dellou in ajam jin, mikitah vang chu keipi bahkai bang in hangtah in apang jin ahi.
2 For the transgression of a land many [are] the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding [and] knowledge the state [thereof] shall be prolonged.
Namkhat in suhkhel anei tengleh achunga thunei ding atam jin, hinlah namsung dinsotna ding hin, miching hetkhen themna nei angaije.
3 A poor man that oppresseth the poor [is like] a sweeping rain which leaveth no food.
Miphalou vaichate gim le hesoh thohsahpa chu, gobah julha tobang ahin, khenchom aneiji poi.
4 They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.
Kivaipohna Dan thu nit te chun migilou ho adou jing ahi.
5 Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all [things].
Mi-engsen thu adih a kitan kitihi ahethem thei pon, amavang Yahweh Pakai holten phatah in ahethem un ahi.
6 Better [is] the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than [he that is] perverse [in his] ways, though he [be] rich.
Mihao lungdihlou hisang in, mivaicha lungtheng hi aphajoi.
7 Whoso keepeth the law [is] a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous [men] shameth his father.
Chapa chingtah kiti chu Dan thu kitup tah'a juipa ahin, milungsel to kivop pan anu le apa jumna apohlut peh jin ahi.
8 He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor.
Thil veikan dinga lha'a punbe sah pa chun, vaichate khotopa sakhao sung adip peh ahibouve.
9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer [shall be] abomination.
Koi hileh Dan thu jahda jeh'a akol heimang achu, atao na jeng jong Elohim Pathen dinga thet um ahi.
10 Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good [things] in possession.
Milungdih lamsea pui achu, amatah jong ama kokhuh sunga lhalut ding, hinlah milungdih vang chun gou phatah alo ding ahi.
11 The rich man [is] wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.
Mihao kiti chu ama mitmun aching dan in akigel jin, hinlah hetthemna nei mivaichan achih louna amatdoh tei ding ahi.
12 When righteous [men] do rejoice, [there is] great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden.
Mikitah ten goljona anei teng kipa loupina ahin, miphaloute ahung seilet tengleh mipi akidalse jin ahi.
13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh [them] shall have mercy.
Asuhkhel selmang chan chu khangtou louhel ding, chule hitobang hi chonset ahipoi ti seipa jong, mi manthah sahpa ahibouve.
14 Happy [is] the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.
Phattin a Yahweh Pakai gingpa chu anunnom ahin, amavang milungtah pa vang chu manthahna chu tei ding ahi.
15 [As] a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; [so is] a wicked ruler over the poor people.
Migilou vaicha chunga vaihompa chu, keipi bahkai kitumlet lut le vompi midel hamthe thu tobang ahi.
16 The prince that wanteth understanding [is] also a great oppressor: [but] he that hateth covetousness shall prolong [his] days.
Thil hetthemna neilou vaihompa chu, migenthei te engse tah a sugimpa ahin; amavang thildihlou thetpa vang chu ahinkho sotding ahi.
17 A man that doeth violence to the blood of [any] person shall flee to the pit; let no man stay him.
Tol thatpa chonset chung gihna chu, athi kahsea kichou mahthah ding, chule koiman adonlou ding ahi.
18 Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but [he that is] perverse [in his] ways shall fall at once.
Lung dettah'a lampi jotpa chu huhdoh a um tei ding, hinlah achena jousea akaleh akalouva chonpa vang chu hetman louva kisumang ding ahi.
19 He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain [persons] shall have poverty enough.
Koi hileh ama gam leiset lhoupa chun, neh le chah kimsel a anei ding; hinlah phatchomna beija donva lepa vang chu vaicha tei ding ahi.
20 A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.
Tahsan umtah pa chu phattheina chang jing ding, hinlah gangtah'a haodoh ding ngaito pan gimna ato lo ding ahi.
21 To have respect of persons [is] not good: for for a piece of bread [that] man will transgress.
Langneina kiti hi apha ahipoi, hinlah mihem in thil neochan jong adihlou abol jeng theije.
22 He that hasteth to be rich [hath] an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.
Mi kikhit them chu gangtah'a haoding mano ahin, hinlah hetman louva vaichatnan ahin lhun den ding ahepha jipoi.
23 He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.
Lei kileh pil'a thu alhem-a sei sang in, lung thengsel'a miphoh pan lung lhaina ahin mujoh ding ahi.
24 Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith, [It is] no transgression; the same [is] the companion of a destroyer.
Koi hileh anu le apa thilgua “Hiche hi chon dihlou akitipoi,” tia seija chu mi manthah sahpa ahibouve.
25 He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat.
Neipap kiloset hin kinahna asodoh sahjin, hinlah Yahweh Pakaija kingaipa vang chu haodoh tei ding ahi.
26 He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
Ama lungthim jenga kisongpa chu angol ahin, hinlah chihna thua lamlha jingpa vang hoidoh ding ahi.
27 He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.
Koi hileh vaicha khotona'a dimpa chu lhasam louhel ding, amavang mivaichate khoto lou chu sapset chang ding ahi.
28 When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase.
Migilouten vai ahomteng, mihem amacham cham in akidalse jin, hinlah hitobang miho chu abei teng; adih akhang in apung jitai.
