Proverbs 28
1 The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.
১কোনো লোকে খেদি নগলেও দুষ্টলোক দৌৰি পলায়; কিন্তু ন্যায় কাৰ্য কৰা সকল যুৱা সিংহৰ দৰে সাহসী হয়।
2 For the transgression of a land many [are] the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding [and] knowledge the state [thereof] shall be prolonged.
২দেশৰ আইন উলঙ্ঘনৰ বাবে দেশত অনেক শাসনকৰ্তা হয়; কিন্তু জ্ঞানী আৰু বিবেচনা কৰা লোকৰ দ্বাৰাই শাসন চিৰস্থায়ী হয়।
3 A poor man that oppresseth the poor [is like] a sweeping rain which leaveth no food.
৩যিজন দৰিদ্ৰ লোকে দৰিদ্রক উপদ্ৰৱ কৰে, তেওঁ খাদ্য নষ্ট কৰা বৰষুণৰ দৰে।
4 They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.
৪যিজনে বিধান ত্যাগ কৰে, তেওঁ দুষ্টলোকক প্ৰশংসা কৰে, কিন্তু যিজনে বিধান পালন কৰে, তেওঁ তেওঁলোকৰ বিৰুদ্ধে যুঁজ কৰে।
5 Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all [things].
৫দুষ্ট লোকে ন্যায়বিচাৰ নুবুজে; কিন্তু যিজনে যিহোৱাক বিচাৰে, সেই জনে সকলো বুজি পায়।
6 Better [is] the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than [he that is] perverse [in his] ways, though he [be] rich.
৬কুটিল পথত চলা ধনী মানুহতকৈ, ন্যায়পৰায়ণতাত চলা দৰিদ্ৰ লোকেই শ্ৰেষ্ঠ।
7 Whoso keepeth the law [is] a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous [men] shameth his father.
৭যি জনে বিধান পালন কৰে, তেওঁ সুবিবেচনা থকা সন্তানৰ দৰে; কিন্তু যি জনৰ ভোজনবিলাসী সঙ্গী থাকে, তেওঁ নিজৰ পিতৃক লাজ দিয়ে।
8 He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor.
৮যি কোনোৱে অধিক সুত লোৱাৰ দ্বাৰাই নিজৰ ভবিষ্যতলৈ সম্পত্তি সাঁচে, সেই জনে দৰিদ্র লোকক দয়া কৰা লোকৰ বাবে সেই ধন সাঁচে।
9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer [shall be] abomination.
৯কোনোৱে যদি বিধানৰ কথা শুনাৰ পৰা আঁতৰি থাকে, তেনেহ’লে তেওঁৰ প্ৰাৰ্থনাও ঘৃণিত হয়।
10 Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good [things] in possession.
১০যি কোনোৱে ন্যায়পৰায়ণ লোকক কুপথত চলিবলৈ বিভ্রান্ত কৰে, তেনেহলে তেওঁ নিজে খন্দা গাতত নিজে পৰে; কিন্তু নিৰ্দোষী লোকে ভাল উত্তৰাধিকাৰ লাভ কৰে।
11 The rich man [is] wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.
১১ধনী লোক নিজৰ দৃষ্টিত জ্ঞানী হ’ব পাৰে; কিন্তু বিবেচনা শক্তি থকা দৰিদ্ৰ লোকে তেওঁক বিচাৰি উলিয়াব।
12 When righteous [men] do rejoice, [there is] great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden.
১২ন্যায় কাৰ্য কৰা লোক যেতিয়া জয়ী হয়, তেতিয়া তাত মহাগৌৰৱ হয়, কিন্তু যেতিয়া দুষ্ট লোকে উন্নতি কৰে, তেতিয়া লোকসকলে নিজকে লুকুৱাই থাকে।
13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh [them] shall have mercy.
১৩যিজনে নিজৰ পাপ ঢাকি ৰাখে, তেওঁৰ উন্নতি নহব; কিন্তু যিজনে নিজৰ পাপ স্বীকাৰ কৰি সেইবোৰ ত্যাগ কৰে, সেই জনে দয়া পাব।
14 Happy [is] the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.
১৪যিজনে সদায় গভীৰ ভক্তিৰে জীৱন যাপন কৰে, সেই জন সুখী হয়; কিন্তু যিকোনোৱে নিজৰ হৃদয় কঠিন কৰে, সেই জন সমস্যাত পৰে।
15 [As] a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; [so is] a wicked ruler over the poor people.
১৫গৰ্জ্জনকাৰী সিংহ আৰু আক্রমণকাৰী ভালুক যেনে, দৰিদ্র লোকৰ ওপৰত দুষ্ট শাসনকৰ্ত্তাও তেনে।
16 The prince that wanteth understanding [is] also a great oppressor: [but] he that hateth covetousness shall prolong [his] days.
১৬বিবেচনা শক্তি নথকা শাসনকৰৰ্ত্তা অত্যাচাৰী হয়; কিন্তু যিজনে অসাধুতাক ঘিণ কৰে, তেওঁ দীৰ্ঘজীৱি হয়।
17 A man that doeth violence to the blood of [any] person shall flee to the pit; let no man stay him.
১৭যদি কোনো মানুহ আনৰ ৰক্তপাতত দোষীসাব্যস্ত হয়, তেওঁ মৃত্যুলৈকে পলাই ফুৰে; আৰু কোনেও তেওঁক সহায় নকৰে।
18 Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but [he that is] perverse [in his] ways shall fall at once.
১৮যি কোনোৱে শুদ্ধ পথত চলে, তেওঁ ৰক্ষা পায়, কিন্তু যিজনে কুটিল পথত চলে; তেওঁ হঠাৎ পতিত হয়।
19 He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain [persons] shall have poverty enough.
১৯যি কোনোৱে নিজৰ মাটিত কাম কৰে, তেওঁ জোৰাওকৈ আহাৰ পায়, কিন্তু যিজন নিষ্কৰ্মা লোকৰ অনুগামী হয়, সেই জনৰ প্রচুৰ পৰিমাণে অভাৱ হয়।
20 A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.
২০বিশ্বাসী লোকে বহুতো আশীৰ্ব্বাদ পায়; কিন্তু যিজন শীঘ্রে ধনী হয়, সেই জনে দণ্ড নোপোৱাকৈ নাথাকে।
21 To have respect of persons [is] not good: for for a piece of bread [that] man will transgress.
২১পক্ষপাত কৰা ভাল নহয়; কিন্তু এডোখৰ ৰুটিৰ বাবেও মানুহে ভুল কৰে।
22 He that hasteth to be rich [hath] an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.
২২কৃপণ লোকে ধনী হ’বলৈ অগ্রসৰ হয়; কিন্তু দৰিদ্ৰতা যে তেওঁৰ ওচৰলৈ আহি আছে, সেই বিষয়ে তেওঁ নাজানে।
23 He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.
২৩কথাৰে খুচামোদ কৰা লোকতকৈ, কোনো এজনক অনুযোগ কৰা জনে পৰৱৰ্তি সময়ত অধিক অনুগ্ৰহ পায়।
24 Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith, [It is] no transgression; the same [is] the companion of a destroyer.
২৪যি কোনোৱে নিজৰ পিতৃ আৰু মাতৃৰ ধন-সম্পত্তি অপহৰণ কৰি কয়, “এয়া পাপ নহয়,” তেওঁ বিনাশকাৰীৰ সঙ্গী হয়।
25 He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat.
২৫লুভীয়া স্বভাৱৰ লোকে বিবাদ উৎপন্ন কৰে; কিন্তু যিহোৱাত ভাৰসা কৰা লোকৰ উন্নতি হয়।
26 He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
২৬যিজনে নিজৰ হৃদয়ত ভাৰসা কৰে, তেওঁ অজ্ঞানী হ’য়; কিন্তু যি মানুহে প্ৰজ্ঞাৰ পথত চলে, তেওঁ বিপদৰ পৰা ৰক্ষা পায়।
27 He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.
২৭যি মানুহে দৰিদ্ৰক দান কৰে, তেওঁৰ অভাৱ নহয়; কিন্তু যি কোনোৱে তেওঁলোকলৈ চকু মুদে, তেওঁ অধিক শাও পায়।
28 When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase.
২৮দুষ্টলোকৰ উন্নতি হলে, মানুহে নিজকে লুকাই ৰাখে; কিন্তু দুষ্টলোক নষ্ট হলে, ন্যায় কাৰ্য কৰা লোকৰ বৃদ্ধি হয়।
