Proverbs 25
1 These [are] also proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.
Ятэ ынкэ врео кытева дин пилделе луй Соломон, стрынсе де оамений луй Езекия, ымпэратул луй Иуда.
2 [It is] the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings [is] to search out a matter.
Слава луй Думнезеу стэ ын аскундеря лукрурилор, дар слава ымпэрацилор стэ ын черчетаря лукрурилор.
3 The heaven for height, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings [is] unsearchable.
Ынэлцимя черурилор, адынчимя пэмынтулуй ши инима ымпэрацилор сунт непэтрунсе.
4 Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer.
Скоате згура дин арӂинт ши арӂинтарул ва фаче дин ел ун вас алес!
5 Take away the wicked [from] before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.
Скоате ши пе чел рэу динаинтя ымпэратулуй ши скаунул луй де домние се ва ынтэри прин неприхэнире.
6 Put not forth thyself in the presence of the king, and stand not in the place of great [men: ]
Ну те фэли ынаинтя ымпэратулуй ши ну луа локул челор марь;
7 For better [it is] that it be said unto thee, Come up hither; than that thou shouldest be put lower in the presence of the prince whom thine eyes have seen.
кэч есте май бине сэ ци се зикэ: „Суе-те май сус!” декыт сэ фий коборыт ынаинтя воеводулуй пе каре ци-л вэд окий.
8 Go not forth hastily to strive, lest [thou know not] what to do in the end thereof, when thy neighbour hath put thee to shame.
Ну те грэби сэ те ей ла чартэ, ка ну кумва, ла урмэ, сэ ну штий че сэ фачь кынд те ва луа ла окэрь апроапеле тэу.
9 Debate thy cause with thy neighbour [himself; ] and discover not a secret to another:
Апэрэ-ць причина ымпотрива апроапелуй тэу, дар ну да пе фацэ тайна алтуя,
10 Lest he that heareth [it] put thee to shame, and thine infamy turn not away.
ка ну кумва, афлынд-о чинева, сэ те умпле де рушине ши сэ-ць ясэ нуме рэу, каре сэ ну се май штяргэ!
11 A word fitly spoken [is like] apples of gold in pictures of silver.
Ун кувынт спус ла время потривитэ есте ка ниште мере де аур ынтр-ун кошулец де арӂинт.
12 [As] an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, [so is] a wise reprover upon an obedient ear.
Ка о веригэ де аур ши о подоабэ де аур курат, аша есте ынцелептул каре мустрэ пентру о уреке аскултэтоаре.
13 As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, [so is] a faithful messenger to them that send him: for he refresheth the soul of his masters.
Ка рэкоряла зэпезий пе время сечеришулуй, аша есте ун сол крединчос пентру чел че-л тримите: ел ынвиорязэ суфлетул стэпынулуй сэу.
14 Whoso boasteth himself of a false gift [is like] clouds and wind without rain.
Ка норий ши вынтул фэрэ плоае, аша есте ун ом каре се лаудэ пе недрепт ку дэрничииле луй.
15 By long forbearing is a prince persuaded, and a soft tongue breaketh the bone.
Прин рэбдаре се ындуплекэ ун воевод ши о лимбэ дулче поате здроби оасе.
16 Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee, lest thou be filled therewith, and vomit it.
Дакэ дай песте мьере, ну мынка декыт атыт кыт ыць ажунӂе, ка сэ ну ци се скырбяскэ ши с-о вершь дин гурэ.
17 Withdraw thy foot from thy neighbour’s house; lest he be weary of thee, and [so] hate thee.
Калкэ рар ын каса апроапелуй тэу, ка сэ ну се сатуре де тине ши сэ те ураскэ.
18 A man that beareth false witness against his neighbour [is] a maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow.
Ка ун буздуган, ка о сабие ши ка о сэӂятэ аскуцитэ, аша есте ун ом каре фаче о мэртурисире минчиноасэ ымпотрива апроапелуй сэу.
19 Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble [is like] a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.
Ка ун динте стрикат ши ка ун пичор каре шкьоапэтэ, аша есте ынкредеря ынтр-ун стрикат ла зиуа неказулуй.
20 [As] he that taketh away a garment in cold weather, [and as] vinegar upon nitre, so [is] he that singeth songs to an heavy heart.
Ка унул каре ышь скоате хайна пе о зи рече сау варсэ оцет пе силитрэ, аша есте чине кынтэ кынтече уней инимь ын ненорочире.
21 If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:
Дакэ есте флэмынд врэжмашул тэу, дэ-й пыне сэ мэнынче, дакэ-й есте сете, дэ-й апэ сэ бя!
22 For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward thee.
Кэч, фэкынд аша, адунь кэрбунь априншь пе капул луй, ши Домнул ыць ва рэсплэти.
23 The north wind driveth away rain: so [doth] an angry countenance a backbiting tongue.
Вынтул де мязэноапте адуче плоая ши лимба клеветитоаре адуче о фацэ мыхнитэ.
24 [It is] better to dwell in the corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman and in a wide house.
Май бине сэ локуешть ынтр-ун колц пе акопериш декыт сэ локуешть ынтр-о касэ маре ку о невастэ гылчевитоаре.
25 [As] cold waters to a thirsty soul, so [is] good news from a far country.
Ка апа проаспэтэ пентру ун ом обосит, аша есте о весте бунэ венитэ динтр-о царэ депэртатэ.
26 A righteous man falling down before the wicked [is as] a troubled fountain, and a corrupt spring.
Ка о фынтынэ тулбуре ши ка ун извор стрикат, аша есте чел неприхэнит каре се клатинэ ынаинтя челуй рэу.
27 [It is] not good to eat much honey: so [for men] to search their own glory [is not] glory.
Ну есте бине сэ мэнынчь мултэ мьере: тот аша, ну есте о чинсте сэ алерӂь дупэ слава та ынсуць.
28 He that [hath] no rule over his own spirit [is like] a city [that is] broken down, [and] without walls.
Омул каре ну есте стэпын пе сине есте ка о четате сурпатэ ши фэрэ зидурь.
