Proverbs 16
1 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, [is] from the LORD.
১মনৰ কল্পনা মানুহৰ; কিন্তু জিভাৰ উত্তৰ যিহোৱাৰ পৰা আহে।
2 All the ways of a man [are] clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.
২মানুহৰ সকলো পথ নিজৰ দৃষ্টিত শুদ্ধ; কিন্তু যিহোৱাই আত্মাবোৰ পৰীক্ষা কৰে।
3 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
৩তোমাৰ কাৰ্যৰ ভাৰ যিহোৱাত সমৰ্পণ কৰা; তাতে তোমাৰ অভিপ্ৰায় সিদ্ধ হ’ব।
4 The LORD hath made all [things] for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
৪যিহোৱাই সেই উদ্দেশ্যে সকলোকে সৃষ্টি কৰিলে; এনে কি, তেওঁ দুষ্টলোককো দুৰ্দ্দশা-দিনৰ বাবে সৃষ্টি কৰিলে।
5 Every one [that is] proud in heart [is] an abomination to the LORD: [though] hand [join] in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
৫অহংকাৰী হৃদয়ৰ প্ৰত্যেক লোকক যিহোৱাই ঘিণ কৰে; যদিও তেওঁলোকে হাতত ধৰাধৰিকৈ থাকে, তথাপিও তেওঁলোকে দণ্ড নোপোৱাকৈ নাথাকিব।
6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD [men] depart from evil.
৬বিশ্বাসযোগ্য আৰু নিৰ্ভৰযোগ্য চুক্তিৰ দ্বাৰাই অপৰাধৰ প্ৰায়শ্চিত্ত হয়, আৰু যিহোৱালৈ ৰখা ভয়ৰ দ্বাৰাই মানুহ বেয়াৰ পৰা আঁতৰি আহে।
7 When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
৭যেতিয়া কোনো লোকৰ আচৰণে যিহোৱাক সন্তুষ্ট কৰে, তেতিয়া তেওঁ সেই জনৰ শত্রুসকলকো তেওঁৰ লগত শান্তিত থাকিব দিয়ে।
8 Better [is] a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.
৮অন্যায়েৰে সৈতে অধিক আয়তকৈ ন্যায়েৰে সৈতে অলপেই ভাল।
9 A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
৯মানুহে হৃদয়ত নিজৰ পথৰ বিষয়ে পৰিকল্পনা কৰে; কিন্তু যিহোৱাই তেওঁৰ ভৰিৰ খোজ নিৰূপণ কৰে।
10 A divine sentence [is] in the lips of the king: his mouth transgresseth not in judgment.
১০ৰজাৰ ওঁঠত ঈশ্বৰীয় বাক্য থাকে; বিচাৰত তেওঁৰ মুখে অন্যায়ৰ কথা নকয়।
11 A just weight and balance [are] the LORD’s: all the weights of the bag [are] his work.
১১সঠিক তুলাচনী যিহোৱাৰ পৰা আহে; আৰু মোনাত থকা সকলোবোৰ দগা তেওঁৰেই সৃষ্টি।
12 [It is] an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.
১২যেতিয়া ৰজাই বেয়া কৰ্ম কৰে, তেতিয়া কিছুমান অবজ্ঞা কৰিবলগীয়া বিষয় হয়, কাৰণ তেওঁৰ সিংহাসন সৎ কাৰ্য কৰাৰ দ্বাৰাই স্থাপন কৰা হৈছে।
13 Righteous lips [are] the delight of kings; and they love him that speaketh right.
১৩ন্যায় কথা কোৱা ওঁঠে ৰজাক আনন্দিত কৰে; আৰু তেওঁ পোনপটীয়াকৈ কথা কোৱা লোকক ভাল পায়।
14 The wrath of a king [is as] messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it.
১৪ৰজাৰ ক্ৰোধ মৃত্যুৰ বাৰ্ত্তাবাহক স্বৰূপ; কিন্তু জ্ঞানী লোকে তেওঁৰ ক্রোধ শান্ত কৰিবলৈ চেষ্টা কৰে।
15 In the light of the king’s countenance [is] life; and his favour [is] as a cloud of the latter rain.
১৫ৰজাৰ মুখমণ্ডলৰ উজ্জলতা জীৱন স্বৰূপ, আৰু তেওঁৰ অনুগ্ৰহ বসন্ত কালৰ বৰষুণৰ মেঘৰ দৰে।
16 How much better [is it] to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!
১৬সোণতকৈ প্রজ্ঞা লাভ কৰা কেনে উত্তম! আৰু সুবিবেচনা নিৰ্বাচন কৰা ৰূপতকৈ কেনে উত্তম।
17 The highway of the upright [is] to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.
১৭ন্যায়পৰায়ণ লোকৰ ৰাজপথ পাপৰ পৰা আঁতৰি থাকে; যি জনে নিজৰ জীৱন সুৰক্ষিত কৰে, তেওঁ নিজৰ পথৰ তত্বাৱধান কৰে।
18 Pride [goeth] before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
১৮বিনাশৰ আগত অহংকাৰ আহে, আৰু পতনৰ পূৰ্বতে মনৰ গৰ্ব্ব হয়।
19 Better [it is to be] of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
১৯অহংকাৰী সকলৰ সৈতে লুটদ্ৰব্য ভাগ কৰি লোৱাতকৈ, দৰিদ্ৰ সকলৰ সৈতে নম্ৰ হোৱাই ভাল।
20 He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy [is] he.
২০যিসকলে শিক্ষা লাভ কৰি অনুশীলন কৰে, তেওঁলোকে মঙ্গল বিচাৰি পায়; আৰু যি সকলে যিহোৱাত নির্ভৰ কৰে, তেওঁলোক সুখী হয়।
21 The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.
২১যিজন হৃদয়েৰে জ্ঞানী, তেওঁক সুবিবেচক বুলি কোৱা হয়, আৰু মৃদু কথাই শিক্ষা দিয়া সক্ষমতা বৃদ্ধি কৰে।
22 Understanding [is] a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools [is] folly.
২২বিবেচক লোকৰ বাবে সুবিবেচনা জীৱনৰ ভুমুকস্বৰূপ; কিন্তু অজ্ঞানী সকলৰ শাস্তি তেওঁলোকৰ অজ্ঞানতা।
23 The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.
২৩জ্ঞানী লোকৰ হৃদয়ে তেওঁৰ মুখেৰে জ্ঞান প্রকাশ কৰে; আৰু তেওঁৰ ওঁঠত বিশ্বাসৰ কথা থাকে।
24 Pleasant words [are as] an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
২৪সন্তোষজনক বাক্য মৌচাকৰ দৰে; সেয়ে আত্মালৈ মিঠা, আৰু হাড়বোৰলৈ আৰোগ্য স্বৰূপ।
25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof [are] the ways of death.
২৫এনে পথ আছে, যি মানুহৰ দৃষ্টিত শুদ্ধ; কিন্তু শেষতে সেয়ে মৃত্যুৰ পথ হয়।
26 He that laboureth laboureth for himself; for his mouth craveth it of him.
২৬পৰিশ্ৰমী লোকৰ ক্ষুধাই তেওঁক পৰিশ্ৰম কৰায়; তেওঁৰ ক্ষুধাই তেওঁক উদগায়।
27 An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips [there is] as a burning fire.
২৭নিষ্কৰ্মা লোকে দুষ্কর্ম খান্দি উলিয়াই, আৰু তেওঁৰ কথা জলন্ত আঙঠাৰ দৰে।
28 A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.
২৮উচ্ছৃঙ্খল লোকে বিবাদ সৃষ্টি কৰে; পৰচৰ্চ্চাকাৰীয়ে প্ৰণয়ৰ বন্ধুৰ বিচ্ছেদ জন্মায়।
29 A violent man enticeth his neighbour, and leadeth him into the way [that is] not good.
২৯অত্যাচাৰী লোকে নিজৰ চুবুৰীয়াক মিছা কথা কয়; আৰু যি পথ বেয়া, সেই পথলৈ তেওঁক লৈ যায়।
30 He shutteth his eyes to devise froward things: moving his lips he bringeth evil to pass.
৩০যিজনে চকু টিপিয়াই, তেওঁ অসৎ বিষয়ৰ পৰিকল্পনা কৰে। যিসকলে ওঁঠ কামোৰে তেওঁলোকে পাপ কাৰ্য হ’বলৈ দিয়ে।
31 The hoary head [is] a crown of glory, [if] it be found in the way of righteousness.
৩১পকা চুলি গৌৰৱৰ মুকুট। সৎ পথত চলাৰ দ্বাৰাই ইয়াক পোৱা যায়।
32 [He that is] slow to anger [is] better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.
৩২ক্ৰোধত ধীৰ লোক বীৰতকৈ উত্তম; আৰু নিজৰ মনক দমন কৰা লোক নগৰ জয়কাৰীতকৈয়ো শ্ৰেষ্ঠ।
33 The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof [is] of the LORD.
৩৩চিঠি-খেলৰ গুটি কোঁচত পৰে, কিন্তু সিদ্ধান্ত যিহোৱাৰ পৰা হয়।
