Proverbs 14
1 Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
Мудрыя жены создаша домы: безумная же раскопа рукама своима.
2 He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD: but [he that is] perverse in his ways despiseth him.
Ходяй право боится Господа: развращаяй же пути своя обезчестится.
3 In the mouth of the foolish [is] a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.
Из уст безумных жезл досаждения: устне же мудрых хранят я.
4 Where no oxen [are], the crib [is] clean: but much increase [is] by the strength of the ox.
Идеже несть волов, ясли чисты: а идеже жита многа, явна волу крепость.
5 A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.
Свидетель верен не лжет: разжизает же ложная свидетель неправеден.
6 A scorner seeketh wisdom, and [findeth it] not: but knowledge [is] easy unto him that understandeth.
Взыщеши премудрости у злых, и не обрящеши: чувство же у мудрых удобно.
7 Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not [in him] the lips of knowledge.
Вся противна (суть) мужеви безумну: оружие же чувствия устне премудры.
8 The wisdom of the prudent [is] to understand his way: but the folly of fools [is] deceit.
Премудрость коварных уразумеет пути их: буйство же безумных в заблуждении.
9 Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous [there is] favour.
Домове беззаконных требуют очищения, домове же праведных приятни.
10 The heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy.
Сердце мужа чувственно печаль души его: егда же веселится, не примешается досаждению.
11 The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.
Домове нечестивых изчезнут, селения же право творящих пребудут.
12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof [are] the ways of death.
Есть путь, иже мнится человеком прав быти, последняя же его приходят во дно ада. (questioned)
13 Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth [is] heaviness.
Ко веселием не примешавается печаль: последняя же радости в плачь приходят.
14 The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man [shall be satisfied] from himself.
Путий своих насытится дерзосердый, от размышлений же своих муж благ.
15 The simple believeth every word: but the prudent [man] looketh well to his going.
Незлобивый веру емлет всякому словеси, коварный же приходит в раскаяние.
16 A wise [man] feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.
Премудр убоявся уклонится от зла, безумный же на себе надеявся смешавается со беззаконным.
17 [He that is] soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.
Острояростный без совета творит, муж же мудрый многая терпит.
18 The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
Разделяют безумнии злобу, коварнии же удержат чувство.
19 The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
Поползнутся злии пред благими, и нечестивии послужат пред дверьми праведных.
20 The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich [hath] many friends.
Друзие возненавидят другов убогих: друзие же богатых мнози.
21 He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy [is] he.
Безчестяй убогия согрешает, милуяй же нищыя блажен.
22 Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth [shall be] to them that devise good.
Заблуждающии (неправедницы) делают злая, милость же и истину делают благии. Не ведят милости и веры делателие злых: милостыни же и веры у делателей благих.
23 In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips [tendeth] only to penury.
Во всяцем пекущемся есть изюбилие: любосластный же и безпечальный в скудости будет.
24 The crown of the wise [is] their riches: [but] the foolishness of fools [is] folly.
Венец премудрых богатство их, житие же безумных зло.
25 A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful [witness] speaketh lies.
Избавит от злых душу свидетель верен, разжизает же лживая лестный.
26 In the fear of the LORD [is] strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.
Во страсе Господни упование крепости, чадом же Своим оставит утверждение (мира).
27 The fear of the LORD [is] a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
Страх Господень источник жизни, творит же укланятися от сети смертныя.
28 In the multitude of people [is] the king’s honour: but in the want of people [is] the destruction of the prince.
Во мнозе языце слава царю: во оскудении же людсте сокрушение сильному.
29 [He that is] slow to wrath [is] of great understanding: but [he that is] hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
Долготерпелив муж мног в разуме, малодушный же крепко безумен.
30 A sound heart [is] the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.
Кроткий муж сердцу врачь: моль же костем сердце чувственно.
31 He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.
Оклеветаяй убогаго раздражает Сотворшаго и, почитаяй же Его милует нищаго.
32 The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.
Во злобе своей отринется нечестивый: надеяйжеся на Господа своим преподобием праведен.
33 Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but [that which is] in the midst of fools is made known.
В сердцы блазе мужа почиет премудрость, в сердцы же безумных не познавается.
34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin [is] a reproach to any people.
Правда возвышает язык: умаляют же племена греси.
35 The king’s favour [is] toward a wise servant: but his wrath is [against] him that causeth shame.
Приятен цареви слуга разумный, своим же благообращением отемлет безчестие.
