Proverbs 11
1 A false balance [is] abomination to the LORD: but a just weight [is] his delight.
১ভুল তুলাচনী যিহোৱাৰ ঘিণলগীয়া; কিন্তু সঠিক জোখ তেওঁৰ সন্তোষ জনক।
2 [When] pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly [is] wisdom.
২যেতিয়া অহংকাৰ হয়, তেতিয়া অপমানো হয়; কিন্তু নম্ৰতাই প্রজ্ঞা আনে।
3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.
৩সাধুলোকৰ সততা তেওঁলোকৰ পথদৰ্শক; কিন্তু বিশ্বাস-ঘাতকসকলৰ কুটিলতাই তেওঁলোকক বিনষ্ট কৰে।
4 Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.
৪ক্ৰোধৰ দিনত ধন-সম্পত্তি মূল্যহীন; কিন্তু সত্যতাই মৃত্যুৰ পৰা তোমাক উদ্ধাৰ কৰে।
5 The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
৫সিদ্ধলোকৰ ধাৰ্মিকতাই তেওঁৰ পথ সমান কৰে; কিন্তু দুষ্টলোক নিজৰ দুষ্টতাৰ দ্বাৰাই পতিত হয়।
6 The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in [their own] naughtiness.
৬যিজনে সিদ্ধ কাৰ্যৰ দ্বাৰাই ঈশ্বৰক আনন্দিত কৰে, তেওঁ ৰক্ষা পায়; কিন্তু নিজৰ আকাংক্ষাৰ বাবে বিশ্বাসঘাতক সকলে ফান্দত পৰে।
7 When a wicked man dieth, [his] expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust [men] perisheth.
৭দুষ্টলোকৰ যেতিয়া মৃত্যু হয়, তেতিয়া তেওঁৰ আশাবোৰ বিলুপ্ত হৈ যায়; আৰু আশা যি তেওঁৰ শক্তি আছিল, সেই শক্তি ব্যৰ্থ হৈ যায়।
8 The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.
৮সৎ কাৰ্য কৰা জনে সঙ্কটৰ পৰা ৰক্ষা পায়; কিন্তু ইয়াৰ পৰিৱৰ্তে দুষ্টলোকলৈ সঙ্কট আহে।
9 An hypocrite with [his] mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.
৯তেওঁ নিজৰ অবিশ্বাসী মুখেৰে চুবুৰীয়াক ধ্বংস কৰে; কিন্তু জ্ঞানেৰে যিজনে সৎ কাৰ্য কৰে, তেওঁ সুৰক্ষিত হয়।
10 When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, [there is] shouting.
১০যেতিয়া সৎ কাৰ্য কৰা লোকৰ উন্নতি হয়, তেতিয়া নগৰখনে উল্লাস কৰে; কিন্তু যেতিয়া দুষ্টলোকৰ বিনাশ ঘটে, তেতিয়া আনন্দ-ধ্বনি হয়।
11 By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
১১ঈশ্বৰক সন্তুষ্ট কৰা লোকসকলৰ আশীৰ্ব্বাদৰ দ্বাৰাই নগৰৰ উন্নতি হয়; কিন্তু দুষ্টলোকৰ মুখৰ দ্বাৰাই নগৰ উচ্ছন্ন হয়।
12 He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.
১২বন্ধুক অবজ্ঞা কৰা লোক জ্ঞানশূন্য; কিন্তু সুবিবেচনা কৰা লোক নিমাতে থাকে।
13 A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
১৩পৰচৰ্চ্চা কৰা লোকে গুপুত কথা প্ৰকাশ কৰে; কিন্তু বিশ্বাসী লোকে বিষয়বোৰ গুপুতে ৰাখে।
14 Where no counsel [is], the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors [there is] safety.
১৪যি খন দেশ জ্ঞানেৰে পৰিচালিত নহয়, সেই দেশৰ পতন হয়; কিন্তু বহুত উপদেষ্টাৰ আলোচনাৰ দ্বাৰাই দেশৰ উন্নতি হয়।
15 He that is surety for a stranger shall smart [for it: ] and he that hateth suretiship is sure.
১৫যিজনে অচিনাকী লোকৰ জামিন হয়, তেওঁৰ নিশ্চয় অনিষ্ট হ’ব; কিন্তু যিজনে জামিন হ’বলৈ ইচ্ছা নকৰে, তেওঁ নিৰাপদে থাকে।
16 A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong [men] retain riches.
১৬দয়ালু মহিলাই সন্মান পায়; কিন্তু নিৰ্দয় লোকে সম্পত্তিক ধৰি ৰাখে।
17 The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but [he that is] cruel troubleth his own flesh.
১৭দয়ালু লোকে নিজৰ উপকাৰ কৰে; কিন্তু নিৰ্দয় লোকে নিজৰ অনিষ্ট কৰে।
18 The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness [shall be] a sure reward.
১৮দুষ্টলোকে উপাৰ্জনৰ বাবে মিছা কথা কয়; কিন্তু যি জনে সত্যৰ গুটি সিঁচে তেওঁ প্ৰকৃত পুৰস্কাৰ পায়।
19 As righteousness [tendeth] to life: so he that pursueth evil [pursueth it] to his own death.
১৯যি সাধুলোকে সৎ কাৰ্য কৰে, তেওঁ জীৱন লাভ কৰে; কিন্তু যিলোকে দুষ্টতা অনুসৰণ কৰে, তেওঁৰ মৃত্যুৰ হ’ব।
20 They that are of a froward heart [are] abomination to the LORD: but [such as are] upright in [their] way [are] his delight.
২০কুটিল মনৰ লোক যিহোৱাৰ ঘিণ লগা; কিন্তু যিসকলৰ আচৰণ সিদ্ধ, তেওঁলোকত তেওঁ আনন্দ পায়।
21 [Though] hand [join] in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
২১নিশ্চিত হোৱা যে, দুষ্ট লোকে শাস্তি নোপোৱাকৈ নাথাকিব; কিন্তু সত্যতাত চলা লোকসকলৰ বংশই উদ্ধাৰ পাব।
22 [As] a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, [so is] a fair woman which is without discretion.
২২গাহৰিৰ নাকত সোণৰ নথ যেনে, সুবিবেচনা নথকা সুন্দৰী মহিলাও তেনে।
23 The desire of the righteous [is] only good: [but] the expectation of the wicked [is] wrath.
২৩সত্যতাত চলা লোকৰ আকাংক্ষাৰ ফল উত্তম; কিন্তু দুষ্টলোকে কেৱল ক্ৰোধৰ আশা কৰে।
24 There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and [there is] that withholdeth more than is meet, but [it tendeth] to poverty.
২৪যি লোকে গুটি সিঁচে, তেওঁ অধিক সংগ্রহ কৰে; আৰু যি লোকে গুটি নিসিঁচে, তেনে লোকলৈ দৰিদ্ৰতাহে আহে।
25 The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
২৫দয়ালু লোকৰ উন্নতি হয়, আৰু যি লোকে আনলোকক পানী দিয়ে, তেওঁ নিজৰ বাবেও পানী পায়।
26 He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing [shall be] upon the head of him that selleth [it].
২৬যি লোকে শস্য বিক্রী কৰিবলৈ অমান্তি হয়, তেওঁক লোকসকলে শাও দিয়ে; কিন্তু যি লোকে বিক্রী কৰে, তেওঁ মুৰত মুকুট স্বৰূপ আশীৰ্ব্বাদ লাভ কৰে।
27 He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.
২৭যিলোকে আগ্রহেৰে ভাল কৰিবলৈ বিচাৰে, তেওঁ অনুগ্ৰহো বিচাৰে; কিন্তু যি জনে দুষ্টতা বিচাৰে, তেওঁ তাকে পায়।
28 He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.
২৮যিজনে নিজৰ ধন-সম্পত্তিত নির্ভৰ কৰে, তেওঁ পতিত হয়; কিন্তু সত্যতাত চলা জন পাতৰ দৰে লহপহকৈ বাঢ়ি উঠে।
29 He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool [shall be] servant to the wise of heart.
২৯যিজনে নিজৰ পৰিয়ালক দুখ দিয়ে, তেওঁৰ বায়ুৰূপ আধিপত্য হ’ব; আৰু অজ্ঞানী লোক বুদ্ধিমানৰ দাস হ’ব।
30 The fruit of the righteous [is] a tree of life; and he that winneth souls [is] wise.
৩০সত্যতাত চলা জন জীৱনদায়ক গছৰ দৰে, কিন্তু হিংস্রতাই জীৱন কাঢ়ি নিয়ে।
31 Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.
৩১সত্যতাত চলা জনে যদি তেওঁ পাবলগীয়া প্ৰতিফল পায়, তেনেহ’লে কিমান অধিক পৰিমাণে দুষ্টলোক আৰু পাপীয়ে পাব।
