Mark 4
1 And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land.
Dann fing er wieder an, am Meer zu lehren. Da sammelten bei ihm sich große Scharen, so daß er ein Boot besteigen mußte und sich draußen auf dem Meer niedersetzte; die ganze Menge aber stand am Meer entlang am Land.
2 And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine,
Er lehrte sie viel in Gleichnissen. So sprach er in seinem Lehrvortrag zu ihnen:
3 Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:
"Höret! Seht: Der Sämann ging aus zu säen.
4 And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.
Und als er säte, fiel ein Teil davon auf den Weg; die Vögel des Himmels kamen und fraßen es.
5 And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:
Anderes fiel auf steinigen Grund, wo es nicht viel Erdreich gab. Rasch schoß es in den Halm, es hatte nämlich keinen tiefen Boden;
6 But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.
doch als die Sonne aufgegangen war, wurde es versengt, und es verdorrte, weil es keine Wurzel hatte.
7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.
Ein anderes fiel unter Dornen; die Dornen wuchsen auf und erstickten es, und so gab es keine Frucht.
8 And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.
Ein anderes fiel auf guten Boden; es keimte, wuchs und brachte Frucht; es trug Frucht bis zu dreißig-, sechzig-, hundertfältig."
9 And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Er fügte dann noch bei: "Wer Ohren hat zu hören, höre!"
10 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.
Als er allein war, fragten ihn die Leute, die bei ihm waren, sowie die Zwölf über die Gleichnisse.
11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all [these] things are done in parables:
Er sprach zu ihnen: "Euch ist das Geheimnis des Gottesreiches anvertraut; doch jenen, die draußen sind, wird das alles nur in Gleichnissen mitgeteilt,
12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and [their] sins should be forgiven them.
damit sie mit offenen Augen sehen und doch nicht sehen, mit eigenen Ohren hören und doch nicht zur Einsicht kommen, damit sie sich nicht bekehren und Vergebung finden."
13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?
Und weiter sagte er zu ihnen: "Ihr versteht dieses Gleichnis nicht? Wie wollt ihr alle anderen verstehen?
14 The sower soweth the word.
Der Sämann sät das Wort.
15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.
'Auf dem Wege' liegt es bei denen, wo das Wort gesät wird; doch kaum, daß sie es gehört, kommt der Satan und nimmt das Wort, das in ihnen gesät ward.
16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;
Und ähnlich ist es 'auf steinigen Grund gesät' bei denen, die, wenn sie das Wort gehört haben, es sofort mit Freuden aufnehmen;
17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended.
allein, sie haben in sich keine Wurzeln; denn sie sind unbeständig; kommt nämlich Trübsal oder Verfolgung um des Wortes willen, dann werden sie gleich irre.
18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
Andere sind die, wo es 'unter Dornen' gesät ward. Das sind die, die das Wort zwar hören;
19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. (aiōn g165)
jedoch die Sorgen dieser Welt, der Trug des Reichtums und ähnliche Gelüste drängen sich herein, ersticken das Wort, und so bleibt es ohne Frucht. (aiōn g165)
20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive [it], and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.
'Auf guten Boden' ward gesät bei jenen, die das Wort gehört und in sich auf genommen haben und Frucht bringen: dreißig-, sechzig-, hundertfältig."
21 And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?
Des weiteren sprach er zu ihnen: "Läßt man sich wohl ein Licht bringen, um es unter einen Scheffel oder ein Bett zu stellen? Doch wohl, um es auf den Leuchter zu stellen.
22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.
Nichts ist verborgen, was nicht offenkundig werden, und nichts geheim, was nicht an den Tag kommen wird.
23 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
Wer Ohren hat zu hören, höre!"
24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
Er sprach zu ihnen: "Gebt acht auf das, was ihr jetzt hört: Mit dem Maß, mit dem ihr messet, wird euch zugemessen werden; ja, wenn ihr hört, wird euch noch dreingegeben werden.
25 For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.
Wer nämlich hat, dem wird gegeben werden; aber wer nicht hat, dem wird auch das, was er besitzt, genommen werden."
26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
Dann sprach er: "So ist es mit dem Gottesreich, wie wenn ein Mann den Samen übers Land wirft.
27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
Er schläft und wacht wieder auf, so Nacht für Nacht und Tag für Tag. Und die Saat sproßt und wächst; wie, weiß er selber nicht.
28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
Von selbst trägt die Erde Frucht; Saatgrün zuerst, dann Ähre und dann in der Ähre volles Korn.
29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.
Läßt es die Frucht zu, legt er sogleich die Sichel an: Die Erntezeit ist da."
30 And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?
Und weiter sprach er: "Womit sollen wir das Gottesreich vergleichen, oder in welches Gleichnis sollen wir es kleiden?
31 [It is] like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:
Es ist wie ein Senfkörnlein. Wenn man es in die Erde sät, ist es das kleinste unter allen Samenkörnern auf der Erde.
32 But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.
Ist es aber gesät, so geht es auf und wird das größte unter allen Gartenkräutern; es treibt so große Zweige, daß unter seinem Schatten die Vögel des Himmels nisten können."
33 And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear [it].
In vielen solchen Gleichnissen verkündete er ihnen das Wort so, wie sie es eben fassen konnten.
34 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.
Ohne Gleichnis redete er nicht zu ihnen; war er dann allein, erklärte er alles seinen Jüngern.
35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.
Am selben Tage, gegen Abend, sagte er zu ihnen: "Laßt uns hinüberfahren."
36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.
Und sie schickten die Menge fort und nahmen ihn, so wie er war, mit in ihr Boot. Auch andere Boote fuhren mit.
37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
Doch da erhob sich ein gewaltiger Wirbelsturm; die Wogen schlugen in das Boot, und das Boot begann schon, sich zu füllen.
38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
Er befand sich hinten im Boot und schlief auf einem Kissen. Sie weckten ihn und riefen: "Meister, kümmert es dich nicht, daß wir zugrunde gehen?"
39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
Und er stand auf, gebot dem Wind und sprach zum Meere: "Schweig! Sei still!" Da legte sich der Wind, und es entstand lautlose Stille.
40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
Darauf sprach er zu ihnen: "Was seid ihr denn so furchtsam? Wie? Habt ihr noch immer keinen Glauben?"
41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
Und es befiel sie große Furcht; sie sprachen untereinander: "Wer ist wohl dieser, daß ihm Wind und Meer gehorchen?"
