Mark 4
1 And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land.
১পরে তিনি আবার সমুদ্রের তীরে শিক্ষা দিতে লাগলেন; তাতে তাঁর কাছে এত লোক জড়ো হল যে, তিনি সমুদ্রের মধ্যে একটি নৌকায় উঠে বসলেন এবং সব লোক তীরে দাঁড়িয়ে রইলো।
2 And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine,
২তখন তিনি গল্পের মাধ্যমে তাদেরকে অনেক শিক্ষা দিতে লাগলেন। শিক্ষার মধ্যে তিনি তাদেরকে বললেন,
3 Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:
৩“দেখ, একজন চাষী বীজ বুনতে গেল;
4 And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.
৪বোনার দিন কিছু বীজ পথের ধারে পড়ল, তাতে পাখিরা এসে সেগুলি খেয়ে ফেলল।
5 And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:
৫আর কিছু বীজ পাথুরে মাটিতে পড়ল, যেখানে ঠিকমত মাটি পেল না; সেগুলি ঠিকমত মাটি না পেয়ে তাড়াতাড়ি অঙ্কুর বের হলো,
6 But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.
৬কিন্তু সূর্য্য উঠলে সেগুলি পুড়ে গেল এবং তার শিকড় না থাকাতে শুকিয়ে গেল।
7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.
৭আর কিছু বীজ কাঁটাবনের মধ্যে পড়ল, তাতে কাঁটাবন বেড়ে গিয়ে সেগুলি চেপে রাখলো, সেগুলিতে ফল ধরল না।
8 And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.
৮আর কিছু বীজ ভালো জমিতে পড়ল, তা অঙ্কুরিত হয়ে বেড়ে উঠে ফল দিল; কিছু ত্রিশ গুন, কিছু ষাট গুন ও কিছু শত গুন ফল দিল।”
9 And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
৯পরে তিনি বললেন, “যার শুনবার কান আছে সে শুনুক।”
10 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.
১০যখন তিনি একা ছিলেন, তাঁর সঙ্গীরা সেই বারো জনের সঙ্গে তাঁকে গল্পের বিষয়ে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন।
11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all [these] things are done in parables:
১১তিনি তাঁদেরকে বললেন, “ঈশ্বরের রাজ্যের গুপ্ত সত্য তোমাদেরকে দেওয়া হয়েছে; কিন্তু ঐ বাইরের লোকদের কাছে সবই গল্পের মাধ্যমে বলা হয়ে থাকে,”
12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and [their] sins should be forgiven them.
১২সুতরাং তারা যখন দেখে, তারা দেখুক কিন্তু যেন বুঝতে না পারে এবং যখন শুনে, শুনুক কিন্তু যেন না বোঝে, পাছে তারা ফিরে আসে ও ঈশ্বর তাদেরকে ক্ষমা করেন।
13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?
১৩পরে তিনি তাদেরকে বললেন, “এই গল্প যখন তোমরা বুঝতে পার না? তবে কেমন করে বাকি সব গল্প বুঝতে পারবে?”
14 The sower soweth the word.
১৪সেই বীজবপক ঈশ্বরের বাক্য বুনেছিল।
15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.
১৫পথের ধারে পড়া বীজ দিয়ে বোঝানো হয়েছে, তারা এমন লোক যাদের মধ্যে বাক্যবীজ বোনা যায়; আর যখন তারা শোনে তখুনি শয়তান এসে, তাদের মধ্যে যা বোনা হয়েছিল, সেই বাক্য ছিনিয়ে নিয়ে যায়।
16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;
১৬আর পাথুরে জমিতে পড়া বীজের মধ্য দিয়ে তাদের কথা বলা হয়েছে যারা এই বাক্য শোনে ও তখুনি আনন্দের সঙ্গে গ্রহণ করে;
17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended.
১৭আর তাদের ভিতরে শিকড় নেই বলে, তারা কম দিন স্থির থাকে, পরে সেই বাক্যের জন্য কষ্ট এবং তাড়না আসলে তখনই তারা পিছিয়ে যায়।
18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
১৮আর কাঁটাবনের মধ্যে যে বীজ বোনা হয়েছিল, তারা এমন লোক, যারা বাক্য শুনেছে,
19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. (aiōn g165)
১৯কিন্তু সংসারের চিন্তা-ভাবনা, সম্পত্তির মায়া ও অন্যান্য জিনিসের লোভ এসে ঐ বাক্যকে চেপে রাখে, তাতে তা ফলহীন হয়। (aiōn g165)
20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive [it], and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.
২০আর ভালো জমিতে যে বীজ বোনা হয়েছিল, তারা এই মত যারা সেই বাক্য শোনে ও গ্রাহ্য করে, কেউ ত্রিশ গুন, কেউ ষাট গুন ও কেউ একশ গুন ফল দেয়।
21 And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?
২১তিনি তাদের আরও বললেন, “কেউ কি প্রদীপ এনে ঝুড়ির নীচে বা খাটের নীচে রাখে? না তোমরা সেটা বাতিদানের ওপর রাখ।”
22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.
২২কারণ কোনো কিছুই লুকানো নেই, যেটা প্রকাশিত হবে না; আবার এমন কিছু গোপন নেই, যা প্রকাশ পাবে না।
23 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
২৩যার শোনবার কান আছে, সে শুনুক।
24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
২৪আর তিনি তাদেরকে বললেন, তোমরা যা শুনছ তার দিকে মনোযোগ দাও; তোমরা যে পরিমাণে পরিমাপ কর, সেই পরিমাণে তোমাদের জন্য পরিমাপ করা যাবে এবং তোমাদেরকে আরও দেওয়া যাবে।
25 For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.
২৫কারণ যার আছে তাকে আরও দেওয়া হবে; আর যার নেই, তার যা আছে, সেটাও তার কাছ থেকে নিয়ে নেওয়া হবে।
26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
২৬তিনি আরও বললেন, ঈশ্বরের রাজ্য এই রকম, একজন লোক যে মাটিতে বীজ বুনল;
27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
২৭পরে সে রাত ও দিন ঘুমিয়ে পড়ে ও আবার জেগে ওঠে এবং ঐ বীজও অঙ্কুরিত হয়ে বেড়ে ওঠে, যদিও সে তা জানে না কিভাবে হয়।
28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
২৮জমি নিজে নিজেই ফল দেয়; প্রথমে অঙ্কুর, তারপর শীষ ও শীষের মধ্যে পরিপূর্ণ শস্যদানা।
29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.
২৯কিন্তু ফল পাকলে সে তখনই কাস্তে লাগায়, কারণ শস্য কাটবার দিন এসেছে।
30 And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?
৩০আর তিনি বললেন, “আমরা কিসের সঙ্গে ঈশ্বরের রাজ্যের তুলনা করতে পারি? বা কোন দৃষ্টান্তের সাহায্যেই বা আমরা বোঝাতে পারবো?”
31 [It is] like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:
৩১এটা একটা সর্ষের দানার মত, এই বীজ মাটিতে বোনবার দিন জমির সব বীজের মধ্যে খুবই ছোট,
32 But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.
৩২কিন্তু বোনা হলে তা অঙ্কুরিত হয়ে সব শাক সবজির থেকে বড় হয়ে উঠে এবং বড় বড় ডাল বের হয়; তাতে আকাশের পাখিরা তার ছায়ার নীচে বাসা করতে পারে।
33 And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear [it].
৩৩এই রকম আরো অনেক দৃষ্টান্ত দিয়ে তিনি তাদের শোনবার ক্ষমতা অনুযায়ী তাদের কাছে বাক্য প্রচার করতেন;
34 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.
৩৪আর দৃষ্টান্ত ছাড়া তাদেরকে কিছুই বলতেন না; পরে ব্যক্তিগত ভাবে শিষ্যদের সব কিছু বুঝিয়ে দিতেন।
35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.
৩৫সেই দিন সন্ধ্যা হলে তিনি তাঁদেরকে বললেন, চল, আমরা হ্রদের অন্য পারে যাই।
36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.
৩৬তখন তাঁরা লোকদেরকে বিদায় দিয়ে, যীশু যে নৌকায় ছিলেন সেই নৌকায় করে তাঁকে সঙ্গে নিয়ে চললেন; এবং সেখানে আরও নৌকা তাঁর সঙ্গে ছিল।
37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
৩৭পরে ভীষণ ঝড় উঠল এবং সমুদ্রের ঢেউগুলো নৌকার ওপর পড়তে লাগলো এবং নৌকা জলে ভর্তি হতে লাগল।
38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
৩৮তখন তিনি নৌকার পিছন দিকে বালিশে মাথা দিয়ে ঘুমাচ্ছিলেন; আর তাঁরা তাঁকে জাগিয়ে বললেন, “হে গুরু, আপনার কি মনে হচ্ছে না যে, আমরা মরতে চলেছি?”
39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
৩৯তখন তিনি জেগে উঠে বাতাসকে ধমক দিলেন ও সমুদ্রকে বললেন, “শান্তি, শান্ত হও; তাতে বাতাস থেমে গেল এবং শান্ত হল।”
40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
৪০পরে তিনি তাঁদেরকে কে বললেন, “তোমরা এরকম ভয় পাচ্ছ কেন? এখনো কি তোমাদের বিশ্বাস হয়নি?”
41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
৪১তাতে তাঁরা ভীষণ ভয় পেলেন এবং একে অপরকে বলতে লাগলেন, “ইনি কে যে, বাতাস এবং সমুদ্রও ওনার আদেশ মানে?”
