Mark 14
1 After two days was [the feast of] the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put [him] to death.
Dos días antes de la fiesta de la Pascua y de los panes sin levadura; y los principales sacerdotes y los escribas hicieron planes para arrestarlo con engaños y matarlo.
2 But they said, Not on the feast [day], lest there be an uproar of the people.
Pero dijeron: No durante la fiesta, por temor a que haya problemas entre la gente.
3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured [it] on his head.
Mientras estaba en Betania, en casa de Simón el leproso, sentado a la mesa, vino una mujer con una botella de aceite de nardo perfumado de gran precio; y quebrando la botella, se lo derramó en su cabeza.
4 And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?
Pero algunos de ellos se enojaron entre sí, diciendo: ¿Para qué se derrochó este aceite?
5 For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.
Podía haberse vendido por más de trescientos denarios y dado el dinero a los pobres. Y dijeron cosas contra ella entre ellos.
6 And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.
Pero Jesús dijo: Déjala; ¿Por qué la están molestando? ella me ha hecho un acto amable.
7 For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.
Los pobres siempre estarán con ustedes, y siempre que tengan el deseo, pueden hacerles bien; pero a mí no siempre me tendrán.
8 She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.
Esta ha hecho lo que pudo: ha puesto aceite en mi cuerpo para que esté listo para mi sepultura.
9 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, [this] also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.
Y de cierto les digo, dondequiera que las buenas nuevas salgan por toda la tierra, se hablará de lo que esta mujer hizo en memoria de ella.
10 And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them.
Y Judas Iscariote, que era uno de los doce, se fue a los principales sacerdotes, para entregárselo.
11 And when they heard [it], they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.
Oyendo lo que dijo, se alegraron, y le dieron su palabra de darle un pago de dinero. Y judas pensó en cómo podría entregárselo.
12 And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?
Y en el primer día de los panes sin levadura, cuando se sacrificaba el cordero de la Pascua, sus discípulos le dijeron: ¿A dónde vamos a ir y preparar para que comas la comida de la Pascua?
13 And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.
Y envió a dos de sus discípulos, y les dijo: vayan a la ciudad, y allí vendrá a ustedes un hombre con una vasija de agua; vayan en pos de él;
14 And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, The Master saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?
Y donde quiera que entre, digan al dueño de la casa: El Maestro dice: ¿Dónde está mi habitación, donde puedo tomar la Pascua con mis discípulos?
15 And he will shew you a large upper room furnished [and] prepared: there make ready for us.
Y él mismo te llevará a un gran salón con una mesa y asientos: prepárate para nosotros.
16 And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.
Y saliendo los discípulos, entraron en la ciudad, y vieron que era como él había dicho: y prepararon la Pascua.
17 And in the evening he cometh with the twelve.
Y cuando era tarde, vino con los doce.
18 And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me.
Mientras estaban sentados comiendo, Jesús dijo: En verdad les digo que uno de ustedes me va entregar, que come conmigo.
19 And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, [Is] it I? and another [said, Is] it I?
Ellos se entristecieron, y se preguntaron uno por uno, ¿seré yo?
20 And he answered and said unto them, [It is] one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish.
Y él les dijo: Es uno de los doce, uno que está poniendo su pan conmigo en el mismo plato.
21 The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born.
El Hijo del hombre va, así como las Escrituras dicen de él: ¡pero maldito es aquel hombre por quien el Hijo del hombre es entregado! Hubiera sido bueno para ese hombre si nunca hubiera nacido.
22 And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake [it], and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.
Mientras comían, tomó pan y, después de bendecirlo, les dio el pan quebrado y les dijo: Tómalo, este es mi cuerpo.
23 And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave [it] to them: and they all drank of it.
Y tomó una copa, y cuando había alabado, les dio; y todos bebieron de ella.
24 And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.
Y él les dijo: Esto es mi sangre del nuevo pacto que por muchos es derramada.
25 Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.
De cierto os digo que no beberé más del fruto de la vid hasta aquel día en que lo beba vino nuevo en el reino de Dios.
26 And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
Y después de un canto de alabanza a Dios, salieron a la Montaña de los Olivos.
27 And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.
Y Jesús les dijo: Todos ustedes se apartaran de mí; porque está en las Escrituras, Heriré al pastor, y las ovejas se dispersaran.
28 But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.
Pero después que haya resucitado, iré delante de ustedes a Galilea.
29 But Peter said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet [will] not I.
Pero Pedro le dijo: Aunque los otros se aparten de ti, yo no lo haré.
30 And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this day, [even] in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice.
Y Jesús le dijo: En verdad, te digo que tú, hoy, aun esta noche, antes del segundo canto del gallo, dirás tres veces que no me conoces.
31 But he spake the more vehemently, If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in any wise. Likewise also said they all.
Pero él dijo con pasión: Si tengo que morir contigo, no te negaré. Y todos dijeron lo mismo.
32 And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray.
Y llegaron a un lugar que se llama Getsemaní, y dijo a sus discípulos: Quédense sentados aquí mientras que oro.
33 And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy;
Y tomó consigo a Pedro, a Jacobo y a Juan, y comenzó a entristecerse y a angustiarse.
34 And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch.
Y les dijo: Mi alma está muy triste, hasta la muerte; quédense aquí un poco de tiempo, y velen.
35 And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.
Y avanzó un poco, y cayendo sobre la tierra, pidió que, si fuese posible, pasase de él aquella hora.
36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things [are] possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
Y él dijo: Abba, Padre, todo es posible para ti; quítame esta copa amarga; mas no lo que yo quiero pero lo que tu quieras.
37 And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?
Entonces él vino y los vio durmiendo, y dijo a Pedro: Simón, ¿duermes? ¿No fuiste capaz de vigilar una hora?
38 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly [is] ready, but the flesh [is] weak.
Vigila con oración, para que no seas puesto a prueba; el espíritu verdaderamente está listo, pero la carne es débil.
39 And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words.
Y otra vez él se fue, y dijo una oración, usando las mismas palabras.
40 And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy, ) neither wist they what to answer him.
Y otra vez vino y los vio durmiendo, porque sus ojos estaban muy cansados; y no tenían nada que decir en respuesta.
41 And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take [your] rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
Y vino la tercera vez, y les dijo: vayan y duerman ahora y descansen: basta; la hora ha llegado; mira, el Hijo del Hombre es entregado en manos de hombres malvados.
42 Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand.
Levántate, vamos a ir; mira, el que me traiciona está cerca.
43 And immediately, while he yet spake, cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.
Y luego, mientras él aún hablaba, vino Judas, uno de los doce, y con él una gran muchedumbre con espadas y palos, de los principales sacerdotes y de los escribas y de los ancianos.
44 And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead [him] away safely.
Y el que había traicionado, les había dado una señal, diciendo: Aquel a quien doy un beso, ése es él; arréstenlo, y llévalo bajo seguridad.
45 And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him.
Y cuando llegó, se dirigió directamente a él y le dijo: Maestro; y le dio un beso.
46 And they laid their hands on him, and took him.
Y le pusieron las manos encima, y lo arrestaron.
47 And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.
Pero uno de los que estaban cerca sacó su espada, y le dio un golpe al siervo del sumo sacerdote, cortándole la oreja.
48 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and [with] staves to take me?
Y Jesús les dijo: ¿Como contra un ladrón han salido, con espadas y palos para arrestarme?
49 I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled.
Estuve contigo todos los días en la enseñanza del Templo, y no me llevaste; pero esto se hace para que las Escrituras se hagan realidad.
50 And they all forsook him, and fled.
Y todos los discípulos se fueron de él con miedo.
51 And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about [his] naked [body]; and the young men laid hold on him:
Y un cierto joven fue tras él, con solo un lienzo alrededor de su cuerpo; y le ponen las manos encima;
52 And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.
Pero él salió sin ropa, sin el lienzo.
53 And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.
Y llevaron a Jesús al sumo sacerdote; y se juntaron con él todos los principales sacerdotes y los ancianos y los escribas.
54 And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.
Y Pedro había venido detrás de él desde la distancia, hasta la casa del sumo sacerdote; y él estaba sentado con los capitanes, calentándose a la luz del fuego.
55 And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none.
Ahora los principales sacerdotes y todo el Sanedrín buscaban testimonio contra Jesús para que lo mataran; y no pudieron obtener ninguno.
56 For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together.
Porque muchos dieron falso testimonio contra él y su testimonio no concordaba.
57 And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying,
Entonces algunos se levantaron y dieron falso testimonio contra él, diciendo:
58 We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.
Dijo que en nuestra audiencia, destruiré a este Templo que está hecho con manos, y en tres días haré otro sin manos.
59 But neither so did their witness agree together.
Y aun así su testimonio no concordaba.
60 And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what [is it which] these witness against thee?
Entonces el sumo sacerdote se levantó en medio de ellos, y dijo a Jesús: ¿No dices nada en respuesta? ¿Qué es lo que estos dicen contra ti?
61 But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
Pero él guardó silencio y no dijo nada. Nuevamente, el sumo sacerdote que lo interroga le dijo: ¿Eres tú el Cristo, el hijo del bendito?
62 And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
Y Jesús dijo: Yo soy; y verás al Hijo del Hombre sentado a la diestra del poder de Dios, y viniendo con las nubes del cielo.
63 Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?
Entonces el sumo sacerdote, partiéndose violentamente sus vestiduras, dijo: ¿Qué más necesitamos nosotros los testigos?
64 Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.
Sus palabras contra Dios han llegado a sus oídos: ¿cuál es su opinión? Y todos dijeron que era correcto que lo mataran.
65 And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.
Y algunos le avergonzaron, y cubriéndole la cara, le dieron golpes, y le dijeron: Ahora di lo que ha de venir; y los capitanes lo tomaron y le dieron golpes con las manos.
66 And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest:
Y mientras Pedro estaba abajo en la plaza abierta del edificio, vino una de las siervas del sumo sacerdote;
67 And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth.
Y viendo a Pedro que se calentaba junto al fuego, ella lo miró y dijo: Tú estabas con este Nazareno, Jesús mismo.
68 But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew.
Pero él dijo: No lo conozco, ni sé lo que dices; y salió a la puerta; y llegó el grito de un gallo.
69 And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is [one] of them.
Y la muchacha lo vio, y dijo otra vez a los que estaban cerca: Este es uno de ellos.
70 And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art [one] of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth [thereto].
Pero otra vez dijo que no era así. Y después de poco tiempo, nuevamente los que estaban cerca dijeron a Pedro: Verdaderamente eres uno de ellos; porque eres un Galileo tu manera de hablar es semejante como uno de ellos.
71 But he began to curse and to swear, [saying], I know not this man of whom ye speak.
Pero, con maldiciones y juramentos, dijo: No conozco al hombre de quien estás hablando.
72 And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.
Y en el mismo minuto, el gallo dio un segundo grito. Y Pedro recordó cómo Jesús le había dicho: Antes del segundo clamor del gallo, dirás tres veces que no me conoces. Y ante este pensamiento, se sintió abrumado por el llanto.
