Mark 13
1 And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings [are here]!
Y saliendo del templo le dice uno de sus discípulos: Maestro, mira qué piedras, y qué edificios.
2 And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
Y Jesús respondiendo, le dijo: ¿Ves estos grandes edificios? no quedará piedra sobre piedra que no sea derribada.
3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,
Y sentándose en el monte de las Olivas delante del templo, le preguntaron aparte Pedro, y Santiago, y Juan, y Andrés:
4 Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [ shall be] the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?
Dinos, ¿cuándo serán estas cosas? ¿y qué señal habrá cuando todas las cosas han de ser acabadas?
5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any [man] deceive you:
Y Jesús respondiéndoles, comenzó a decir: Mirád que nadie os engañe:
6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am [Christ]; and shall deceive many.
Porque vendrán muchos en mi nombre, diciendo: Yo soy el Cristo; y engañarán a muchos.
7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for [such things] must needs be; but the end [shall] not [be] yet.
Mas cuando oyereis de guerras, y de rumores de guerras, no os turbéis; porque es menester que suceda así, mas aun no será el fin.
8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these [are] the beginnings of sorrows.
Porque nación se levantará contra nación, y reino contra reino; y habrá terremotos por los lugares, y habrá hambres, y alborotos: principios de dolores serán estos.
9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.
Mas vosotros mirád por vosotros; porque os entregarán a los concilios; y en las sinagogas seréis azotados; y delante de presidentes y de reyes seréis llamados por causa de mí, por testimonio contra ellos.
10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
Y en todas las naciones es menester que el evangelio sea predicado antes.
11 But when they shall lead [ you], and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
Y cuando os llevaren entregándoos, no premeditéis que habéis de decir, ni lo penséis; mas lo que os fuere dado en aquella hora, eso hablád; porque no sois vosotros los que habláis, sino el Espíritu Santo.
12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against [their] parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.
Y entregará a la muerte el hermano al hermano, y el padre al hijo; y se levantarán los hijos contra los padres, y los harán morir.
13 And ye shall be hated of all [men] for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Y seréis aborrecidos de todos por mi nombre; mas el que perseverare hasta el fin, éste será salvo.
14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand, ) then let them that be in Judæa flee to the mountains:
Empero cuando viereis la abominación de asolamiento, de que habló el profeta Daniel, que estará donde no debe, (el que lee, entienda, ) entonces los que estuvieren en Judea huyan a los montes;
15 And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter [therein], to take any thing out of his house:
Y el que estuviere sobre la casa, no descienda a la casa, ni entre para tomar algo de su casa;
16 And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.
Y el que estuviere en el campo, no torne atrás, ni aun a tomar su capa.
17 But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
Mas ¡ay de las preñadas, y de las que criaren en aquellos días!
18 And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.
Orád pues que no acontezca vuestra huida en invierno.
19 For [in] those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.
Porque en aquellos días habrá aflicción, cual nunca fue desde el principio de la creación de las cosas que creó Dios, hasta este tiempo, ni habrá jamás.
20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.
Y si el Señor no hubiese acortado aquellos días, ninguna carne se salvaría; mas por causa de los escogidos, que él escogió, acortó aquellos días.
21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here [is] Christ; or, lo, [he is] there; believe [him] not:
Y entonces si alguno os dijere: He aquí, aquí está el Cristo; o he aquí, allí está, no le creáis;
22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if [it were] possible, even the elect.
Porque se levantarán falsos Cristos y falsos profetas; y darán señales y prodigios para engañar, si se pudiese hacer, aun a los escogidos.
23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
Mas vosotros mirád: he aquí, os lo he dicho antes todo.
24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
Empero en aquellos días, después de aquella aflicción, el sol se oscurecerá, y la luna no dará su resplandor.
25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
Y las estrellas caerán del cielo, y las virtudes que están en los cielos serán conmovidas.
26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
Y entonces verán al Hijo del hombre, que vendrá en las nubes con grande poder y gloria.
27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
Y entonces enviará sus ángeles, y juntará sus escogidos de los cuatro vientos, desde el un cabo de la tierra hasta el cabo del cielo.
28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:
De la higuera aprendéd la semejanza: Cuando su rama ya se hace tierna, y brota hojas, conocéis que el verano está cerca.
29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, [even] at the doors.
Así también vosotros cuando viereis hacerse estas cosas, conocéd que está cerca a las puertas.
30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.
De cierto os digo, que no pasará esta generación sin que todas estas cosas sean hechas.
31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
El cielo y la tierra pasarán, mas mis palabras nunca pasarán.
32 But of that day and [that] hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
Empero de aquel día, y de la hora, nadie sabe, ni aun los ángeles que están en el cielo, ni el mismo Hijo, sino el Padre.
33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
Mirád, velád, y orád; porque no sabéis cuando será el tiempo.
34 [For the Son of man is] as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
Porque el Hijo del hombre es como el hombre que partiéndose lejos, dejó su casa, y dio a sus siervos su hacienda, y a cada uno cargo, y al portero mandó que velase.
35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
Velád pues, porque no sabéis cuando el señor de la casa vendrá; a la tarde, o a la media noche, o al canto del gallo, o a la mañana:
36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
Porque cuando viniere de repente, no os halle durmiendo.
37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
Y las cosas que a vosotros digo, a todos las digo: Velád.
