< Malachi 3 >

1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.
“Wò ó, Èmi yóò ran ìránṣẹ́ mi, yóò tún ọ̀nà ṣe ṣáájú mi. Nígbà náà ni Olúwa, tí ẹ̀yin ń wa, yóò dé ni òjijì sí tẹmpili rẹ̀; àní oníṣẹ́ májẹ̀mú náà, tí inú yín dùn sí, yóò dé,” ni Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun wí.
2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he [is] like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:
Ṣùgbọ́n ta ni o lè fi ara da ọjọ́ dídé rẹ̀? Ta ni yóò sì dúró nígbà tí ó bá fi ara hàn? Nítorí òun yóò dàbí iná ẹni tí ń da fàdákà àti bi ọṣẹ alágbàfọ̀.
3 And he shall sit [as] a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.
Òun yóò sì jókòó bí ẹni tí n yọ́, tí ó sì ń da fàdákà; yóò wẹ àwọn ọmọ Lefi mọ́, yóò sì tún wọn dàbí wúrà àti fàdákà, kí wọn bá a lè mú ọrẹ òdodo wá fún Olúwa,
4 Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.
nígbà náà ni ọrẹ Juda àti ti Jerusalẹmu yóò jẹ́ ìtẹ́wọ́gbà fún Olúwa, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ti ọjọ́ àtijọ́, àti gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọdún ìgbàanì.
5 And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in [his] wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger [from his right], and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.
“Èmi ó sì súnmọ́ yin fún ìdájọ́. Èmi yóò sì yára ṣe ẹlẹ́rìí sí àwọn oṣó, sí àwọn panṣágà, sí àwọn abúra èké, àti àwọn tí ó fi ọ̀yà alágbàṣe pọn wọn lójú, àti àwọn tí ó ni àwọn opó àti àwọn aláìní baba lára, àti sí ẹni tí kò jẹ́ kí àjèjì rí ìdájọ́ òdodo gbà, tí wọn kò sì bẹ̀rù mi,” ni Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun wí.
6 For I [am] the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
“Èmi Olúwa kò yípadà. Nítorí náà ni a kò ṣe run ẹ̀yin ọmọ Jakọbu.
7 Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept [them]. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?
Láti ọjọ́ àwọn baba ńlá yín wá ni ẹ̀yin tilẹ̀ ti kọ ẹ̀yìn sí ìlànà mi, tí ẹ kò sì pa wọ́n mọ́. Ẹ padà wá sí ọ̀dọ̀ mi, Èmi yóò sì padà sí ọ̀dọ̀ yín,” ni Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun wí. “Ṣùgbọ́n ẹ̀yin béèrè pé, ‘Báwo ni àwa yóò ṣe padà?’
8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
“Ènìyàn yóò ha ja Ọlọ́run ni olè bí? Síbẹ̀ ẹ̀yin ti jà mí ní olè. “Ṣùgbọ́n ẹ̀yin béèrè pé, ‘Báwo ni àwa ṣe jà ọ́ ní olè?’ “Nípa ìdámẹ́wàá àti ọrẹ.
9 Ye [are] cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, [even] this whole nation.
Ríré ni a ó fi yín ré: gbogbo orílẹ̀-èdè yìí, nítorí ẹ̀yin ti jà mi lólè.
10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it].
Ẹ mú gbogbo ìdámẹ́wàá wá sí ilé ìṣúra, kí oúnjẹ bá à lè wà ní ilé mi, ẹ fi èyí dán mi wò,” ní Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun wí, “kí ẹ sì wò bí èmi kò bá ní sí àwọn fèrèsé ọ̀run fún yin, kí èmi sì tú ìbùkún àkúnwọ́sílẹ̀ jáde fún yín, tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí kì yóò sì ààyè láti gbà á.
11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
Èmi yóò sì bá kòkòrò ajẹnirun wí nítorí yín, òun kò sì ni run èso ilẹ̀ yín, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni àjàrà inú oko yín kò ní rẹ̀ dànù,” ni Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun wí.
12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.
“Nígbà náà ni gbogbo orílẹ̀-èdè yóò sì pè yín ni alábùkún fún, nítorí tiyín yóò jẹ́ ilẹ̀ tí ó wu ni,” ni Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun wí.
13 Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken [so much] against thee?
“Ẹ̀yin ti sọ ọ̀rọ̀ líle sí mi,” ni Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun wí. “Síbẹ̀ ẹ̀yin béèrè pé, ‘Ọ̀rọ̀ kín ni àwa sọ sí ọ?’
14 Ye have said, It [is] vain to serve God: and what profit [is it] that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?
“Ẹ̀yin ti wí pé, ‘Asán ni láti sin Ọlọ́run. Kí ni àwa jẹ ní èrè, nígbà tí àwa ti pa ìlànà rẹ mọ́, tí àwa sì ń rìn kiri bí ẹni tí ń ṣọ̀fọ̀ ní iwájú Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun?
15 And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, [they that] tempt God are even delivered.
Ṣùgbọ́n ní ìsinsin yìí àwa pé agbéraga ni alábùkún fún. Ní òtítọ́ ni àwọn ti ń ṣe búburú ń gbèrú sí i, kódà àwọn ti ó dán Ọlọ́run wò ni a dá sí.’”
16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard [it], and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
Nígbà náà ni àwọn tí ó bẹ̀rù Olúwa ń ba ara wọn sọ̀rọ̀, Olúwa sì tẹ́tí sí i, ó sì gbọ́. A sì kọ ìwé ìrántí kan níwájú rẹ̀, fún àwọn tí o bẹ̀rù Olúwa, tiwọn sì bọ̀wọ̀ fún orúkọ rẹ̀.
17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
“Wọn yóò sì jẹ́ tèmi,” ni Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun wí, “ni ọjọ́ náà, tí èmi ó dá; èmi yóò sì da wọ́n sí gẹ́gẹ́ bí ènìyàn tí máa ń dá ọmọ rẹ̀ tí yóò sìn ín sí.
18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.
Nígbà náà ni ẹ̀yin yóò rí ìyàtọ̀, ìyàtọ̀ láàrín olódodo àti ẹni búburú, láàrín ẹni tí ń sìn Ọlọ́run, àti ẹni tí kò sìn ín.
