Luke 7
1 Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum.
耶穌向民眾講完了道一切話以後，就進了葛法翁。
2 And a certain centurion’s servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die.
有一個百夫長，他所喜愛的僕人害病要死。
3 And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.
他聽說過耶穌的事，就打發猶太人的幾個長老祂那裏去，求祂來治好自己的僕人。
4 And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this:
他們到了耶穌那裏，懇切求祂說：「他堪當你給他做這事，
5 For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.
因為祂愛護我們的民族，又給我們建築了會堂。」
6 Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof:
耶穌就同他們去了。當祂離那家不遠時，百夫長打發僕人向祂說：「主啊! 不必勞駕了! 因為我當不起你到舍下來。
7 Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.
為此我認為我不堪當親自到你跟前來，只請你說一句話，我的僕人就必好了。
8 For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth [it].
因為我雖是受派在人權下的，但是在我下也有士兵；，我對這個說：你去! 他就去；對那個說：你來! 他就來；對我的奴僕說：你作這個! 他就做。」
9 When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
耶穌一聽這些話，就佩服他，遂轉身對跟髓祂的人說：「我告訴你們：連在以色列，我也沒有見過這樣大的信德。
10 And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.
被派去的人回到家中，見那僕人已痊癒了。
11 And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people.
以後，耶穌往一座名叫納因的城去，祂的們徒和許多群眾與祂同行。
12 Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.
臨近城門時，看，正抬出一個死人來，他是母親的獨生子，母親又是寡婦；且有本城的一大夥人陪她。
13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.
主一看見她，就對她動了憐憫的心，向她說：「不要哭了! 」
14 And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare [him] stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.
遂上前按往棺材，抬棺材的人就站往了。祂說：「青年人，我對你說：起來吧! 」
15 And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.
那死者便坐起來，並開口說話；耶穌便把他交給了他的母親。
16 And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people.
眾人都害怕起來，光榮天主說：「在失們當中興起了一位大先知，天主眷顧了祂自己的百姓。」
17 And this rumour of him went forth throughout all Judæa, and throughout all the region round about.
於是，稱述耶穌的這番話，傳遍了猶太和附近各地。
18 And the disciples of John shewed him of all these things.
若翰的門徒把這一切報告給若翰，若翰便叫了自己的兩個門徒來，
19 And John calling [unto him] two of his disciples sent [them] to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?
打發他們到主那裡去說：「你就是要來那位或者我們還要等待另一位?」
20 When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?
二人來到耶穌跟前說：「洗者若翰派我們來問你：你就是要來那位或者我們還要等候另一位?」
21 And in that same hour he cured many of [their] infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many [that were] blind he gave sight.
正在那時刻，祂治好了許多患有病痛和疾苦的，並附有惡魔的人，又恩賜許多瞎子看見。
22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.
祂便回答說：「你們去吧! 把你們所見所聞的報告給若翰：瞎子看見，瘸子行走，癩病人潔淨，聾子聽見，死人復活，貧窮人聽到喜訊。
23 And blessed is [he], whosoever shall not be offended in me.
凡不因我而絆倒的，是有福的。」
24 And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind?
若翰的使者走了以後，就對群眾論若翰說：「你們出去到荒野裏是為看什麼呢? 是看一枝被風搖曳的蘆葦嗎?
25 But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings’ courts.
你們出去到底是為看什麼? 為看一位穿細軟衣服的人嗎? 啊! 那衣服華麗和生活奢侈的人是在王宮裏。
26 But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet.
你們出去究竟是為看什麼? 為看一位先知嗎? 是的，我告訴你們：而且他比先知還大。
27 This is [he], of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
關於這人經上記載說：『看，我派遺我的使者在你在面前，他要在你的在前面預備你的道路。』
28 For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.
我告訴你們：婦女所生的，沒有一個比若翰更大的；但在天主的國最小的，也比他大。
29 And all the people that heard [him], and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.
聽教的眾百姓和稅吏，都承認天主正義的要求而領受了若翰的洗禮。
30 But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.
但法利賽人和法學士卻沒有受他的洗，在自己的身上使天主的計劃作廢。
31 And the Lord said, Whereunto then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like?
我可把這一時代的人比作什麼呢? 他們相似什麼人呢?
32 They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept.
他們相似坐在街上的兒童，彼此呼喚說：我們給你們吹笛，你們卻不跳舞；我們唱哀歌，你們卻不悲哭。
33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil.
因為洗者若翰來了，他不吃餅，也不喝酒，們便說：他附了魔。
34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!
人子來了，也吃也喝，你們又說：這是個貪吃嗜酒的人，是個稅吏和罪人的朋友。
35 But wisdom is justified of all her children.
但一切智慧之子，必彰顯智慧的正義。
36 And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to meat.
有個法利賽人請耶穌同他吃飯，祂便進了那法利賽人的家中坐席
37 And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that [Jesus] sat at meat in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
那時，有個婦人，是城中的罪人，她一聽說耶穌在法利賽人家中坐席，就帶著一玉瓶香液，
38 And stood at his feet behind [him] weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe [them] with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed [them] with the ointment.
來站在祂背後，靠近祂的腳哭開了，用眼淚滴濕了祂的腳，用自己的頭髮擦乾，又熱切地口親祂的腳，以後抹上香液。
39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw [it], he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman [this is] that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
那請耶穌的法利賽人見了，就心裏想：「這人若是先知，必定知道這個摸他的人是誰，是怎樣的女人：是一個罪婦。」
40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.
耶穌發言對他說：「西滿，我有一件事要向你說。」西滿說：「師傅，請說吧!
41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
一個債主有兩個債戶：一個欠五百德納，另一個欠五十。
42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?
因為他們都無力償還，債主就開恩，赦免了他們二人。那麼他們中誰更愛他呢? 」
43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that [he], to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
西滿答說：「我想是那多得恩赦的。」耶穌對他說：「你判斷得正對。」
44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped [them] with the hairs of her head.
祂遂轉身向那婦人，對西滿說：「你看見這個婦人嗎? 我進了你的家，你沒有給我水洗腳，她卻用眼淚滴濕了我的腳，並用頭髮擦乾。
45 Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.
你沒有給我行口親禮，她卻自從我進來，就不斷地口親我的腳
46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
你沒有用油抹我的頭，她卻用香液抹了我的腳。
47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, [the same] loveth little.
故此，我告訴你：她的那許多罪得了赦免，因為她愛得多；但那少得赦免的，是愛的少。」
48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
耶穌遂對婦人說：「妳的罪得了赦免。」
49 And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
同席的人心中想道：「這人是誰? 他竟然赦免罪過! 」
50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.
耶穌對婦人說：「的信德救了妳，平安回去吧! 」
