Luke 22
1 Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.
Y estaba cerca el día de la fiesta de los panes sin levadura, que se llama la pascua.
2 And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people.
Y los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los escribas procuraban como le matarían; mas tenían miedo del pueblo.
3 Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.
Y entró Satanás en Júdas, que tenía por sobrenombre Iscariote, el cual era uno del número de los doce.
4 And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them.
Y fue, y habló con los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y con los magistrados, de como se le entregaría.
5 And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.
Los cuales se holgaron, y concertaron de darle dinero.
6 And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude.
Y prometió; y buscaba oportunidad para entregarle a ellos sin estar presente la multitud.
7 Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed.
Y vino el día de los panes sin levadura, en el cual era menester matar la pascua.
8 And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat.
Y envió a Pedro, y a Juan, diciendo: Id, aparejádnos la pascua, para que comamos.
9 And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare?
Y ellos le dijeron: ¿Dónde quieres que la aparejemos?
10 And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in.
Y él les dijo: He aquí, como entraréis en la ciudad, os encontrará un hombre que lleva un cántaro de agua: seguídle hasta la casa donde entrare;
11 And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?
Y decíd al padre de la familia de la casa: El Maestro te dice: ¿Dónde está el aposento donde tengo de comer la pascua con mis discípulos?
12 And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.
Entonces él os mostrará un gran cenadero aderezado, aparejád la allí.
13 And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.
Y yendo ellos halláronlo todo como les había dicho; y aparejaron la pascua.
14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.
Y como fue hora, se sentó a la mesa; y con él los doce apóstoles.
15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:
Y les dijo: Con deseo he deseado comer con vosotros esta pascua antes que padezca.
16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
Porque os digo, que no comeré más de ella, hasta que sea cumplido en el reino de Dios.
17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide [it] among yourselves:
Y tomando la copa, habiendo hecho gracias, dijo: Tomád esto, y distribuíd lo entre vosotros.
18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.
Porque os digo, que no beberé del fruto de la vid, hasta que el reino de Dios venga.
19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake [it], and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
Y tomando pan, habiendo hecho gracias, lo rompió, y les dio, diciendo: éste es mi cuerpo, que por vosotros es dado; hacéd esto en memoria de mí.
20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup [is] the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
Asimismo también la copa, después que hubo cenado, diciendo: Esta copa es el nuevo testamento en mi sangre, que por vosotros se derrama.
21 But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me [is] with me on the table.
Con todo eso, he aquí, la mano del que me entrega está conmigo en la mesa.
22 And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed!
Y a la verdad el Hijo del hombre va según lo que está determinado; empero ¡ay de aquel hombre por el cual es entregado!
23 And they began to enquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.
Ellos entonces comenzaron a preguntar entre sí, cual de ellos sería el que había de hacer esto.
24 And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest.
Y hubo también entre ellos una contienda, quién de ellos parecía ser el mayor.
25 And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.
Entonces él les dijo: Los reyes de las naciones se enseñorean de ellas; y los que sobre ellas tienen potestad, son llamados bienhechores:
26 But ye [shall] not [be] so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.
Mas vosotros, no así: antes el que es mayor entre vosotros, sea como el más mozo; y el que precede, como el que sirve.
27 For whether [is] greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? [is] not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.
Porque ¿cuál es mayor, el que se asienta a la mesa, o el que sirve? ¿No es el que se asienta a la mesa? mas yo soy entre vosotros como el que sirve.
28 Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations.
Empero vosotros sois los que habéis permanecido conmigo en mis tentaciones:
29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;
Yo pues os ordeno un reino, como mi Padre me lo ordenó a mí;
30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Para que comáis y bebáis en mi mesa en mi reino; y os asentéis sobre tronos juzgando a las doce tribus de Israel.
31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired [to have] you, that he may sift [you] as wheat:
Dijo también el Señor: Simón, Simón, he aquí, que Satanás os ha pedido para zarandearos como a trigo;
32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
Mas yo he rogado por ti que tu fe no falte; y tú cuando te conviertas, confirma a tus hermanos.
33 And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.
Y él le dijo: Señor, dispuesto estoy a ir contigo, tanto a la cárcel, como a la muerte.
34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.
Y él dijo: Pedro, te digo que el gallo no cantará hoy, antes que tú niegues tres veces que me conoces.
35 And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
Y a ellos dijo: Cuando os envié sin bolsa, y sin alforja, y sin zapatos, ¿os faltó algo? Y ellos dijeron: Nada.
36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take [it], and likewise [his] scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
Entonces les dijo: Pues ahora el que tiene bolsa, tóme la; y también su alforja; y el que no tiene espada, venda su capa y cómprela.
37 For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.
Porque os digo, que aun es menester que se cumpla en mí aquello que está escrito: Y con los malos fue contado; porque lo que está escrito de mí, su cumplimiento tiene.
38 And they said, Lord, behold, here [are] two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.
Entonces ellos dijeron: Señor, he aquí, dos espadas hay aquí. Y él les dijo: Basta.
39 And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.
Y saliendo, se fue, según su costumbre, al monte de las Olivas; y sus discípulos también le siguieron.
40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.
Y como llegó a aquel lugar, les dijo: Orád para que no entréis en tentación.
41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,
Y él se apartó de ellos como un tiro de piedra; y puesto de rodillas, oró,
42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
Diciendo: Padre, si quieres, pasa esta copa de mí, empero no se haga mi voluntad, mas la tuya.
43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
Y le apareció un ángel del cielo esforzándole.
44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
Y estando en agonía, oraba más intensamente; y fue su sudor como gotas grandes de sangre, que descendían hasta la tierra.
45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,
Y como se levantó de la oración, y vino a sus discípulos, los halló durmiendo de tristeza.
46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
Y les dijo: ¿Qué, dormís? Levantáos, y orád que no entréis en tentación.
47 And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him.
Estando aun hablando él, he aquí, una multitud de gente, y el que se llamaba Júdas, uno de los doce, iba delante de ellos; y se llegó a Jesús, para besarle.
48 But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?
Entonces Jesús le dijo: ¿Júdas, con un beso entregas al Hijo del hombre?
49 When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?
Y viendo los que estaban junto a él lo que había de ser, le dijeron: Señor, ¿heriremos con espada?
50 And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
Y uno de ellos hirió al criado del sumo sacerdote, y le quitó la oreja derecha.
51 And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.
Y respondiendo Jesús, dijo: Dejád hasta aquí. Y tocando su oreja, le sanó.
52 Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?
Dijo después Jesús a los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y a los capitanes del templo, y a los ancianos que habían venido contra él: ¿Cómo a ladrón habéis salido con espadas y con palos?
53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
Habiendo estado con vosotros cada día en el templo, no extendisteis las manos contra mí; mas ésta es vuestra hora, y la potestad de las tinieblas.
54 Then took they him, and led [him], and brought him into the high priest’s house. And Peter followed afar off.
Y prendiéndole, le trajeron, y metiéronle en casa del príncipe de los sacerdotes. Y Pedro le seguía de lejos.
55 And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them.
Y habiendo encendido fuego en medio del atrio, y sentándose todos al derredor, se sentó también Pedro entre ellos.
56 But a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him.
Y como una criada le vio que estaba sentado al fuego, puestos los ojos en él, dijo: Y éste con él era.
57 And he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not.
Entonces él lo negó, diciendo: Mujer, no le conozco.
58 And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou art also of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not.
Y un poco después viéndole otro, dijo: Y tú de ellos eras. Y Pedro dijo: Hombre, no soy.
59 And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this [fellow] also was with him: for he is a Galilæan.
Y como una hora pasada, otro afirmaba, diciendo: Verdaderamente también éste estaba con él; porque es Galileo.
60 And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew.
Y Pedro dijo: Hombre, no sé lo que dices. Y luego, estando aun él hablando, el gallo cantó.
61 And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
Entonces, vuelto el Señor, miró a Pedro; y Pedro se acordó de la palabra del Señor, como le había dicho. Antes que el gallo dé voz me negarás tres veces.
62 And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.
Y saliendo fuera Pedro, lloró amargamente.
63 And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote [him].
Y los hombres que tenían a Jesús, burlaban de él, hiriéndo le.
64 And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee?
Y cubriéndole herían su rostro, y preguntábanle, diciendo: Profetiza, ¿quién es el que te hirió?
65 And many other things blasphemously spake they against him.
Y decían otras muchas cosas injuriándole.
66 And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying,
Y como fue de día, se juntaron los ancianos del pueblo, y los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los escribas, y le trajeron a su concilio,
67 Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:
Diciendo: ¿Eres tú el Cristo? dínoslo. Y les dijo: Si os lo dijere, no creereis;
68 And if I also ask [you], ye will not answer me, nor let [me] go.
Y también si os preguntare, no me responderéis, ni me soltaréis;
69 Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.
Mas desde ahora el Hijo del hombre se asentará a la diestra del poder de Dios.
70 Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am.
Y dijeron todos: ¿Luego tú eres el Hijo de Dios? Y él les dijo: Vosotros lo decís, que yo soy.
71 And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth.
Entonces ellos dijeron: ¿Qué más testimonio deseamos? porque nosotros lo hemos oído de su boca.
