Luke 16
1 And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.
அபரஞ்ச யீஸு²: ஸி²ஷ்யேப்⁴யோந்யாமேகாம்’ கதா²ம்’ கத²யாமாஸ கஸ்யசித்³ த⁴நவதோ மநுஷ்யஸ்ய க்³ரு’ஹகார்ய்யாதீ⁴ஸே² ஸம்பத்தேரபவ்யயே(அ)பவாதி³தே ஸதி
2 And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.
தஸ்ய ப்ரபு⁴ஸ்தம் ஆஹூய ஜகா³த³, த்வயி யாமிமாம்’ கதா²ம்’ ஸ்²ரு’ணோமி ஸா கீத்³ரு’ஸீ²? த்வம்’ க்³ரு’ஹகார்ய்யாதீ⁴ஸ²கர்ம்மணோ க³ணநாம்’ த³ர்ஸ²ய க்³ரு’ஹகார்ய்யாதீ⁴ஸ²பதே³ த்வம்’ ந ஸ்தா²ஸ்யஸி|
3 Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.
ததா³ ஸ க்³ரு’ஹகார்ய்யாதீ⁴ஸோ² மநஸா சிந்தயாமாஸ, ப்ரபு⁴ ர்யதி³ மாம்’ க்³ரு’ஹகார்ய்யாதீ⁴ஸ²பதா³த்³ ப்⁴ரம்’ஸ²யதி தர்ஹி கிம்’ கரிஷ்யே(அ)ஹம்’? ம்ரு’த³ம்’ க²நிதும்’ மம ஸ²க்தி ர்நாஸ்தி பி⁴க்ஷிதுஞ்ச லஜ்ஜிஷ்யே(அ)ஹம்’|
4 I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.
அதஏவ மயி க்³ரு’ஹகார்ய்யாதீ⁴ஸ²பதா³த் ச்யுதே ஸதி யதா² லோகா மஹ்யம் ஆஸ்²ரயம்’ தா³ஸ்யந்தி தத³ர்த²ம்’ யத்கர்ம்ம மயா கரணீயம்’ தந் நிர்ணீயதே|
5 So he called every one of his lord’s debtors [unto him], and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord?
பஸ்²சாத் ஸ ஸ்வப்ரபோ⁴ரேகைகம் அத⁴மர்ணம் ஆஹூய ப்ரத²மம்’ பப்ரச்ச², த்வத்தோ மே ப்ரபு⁴ணா கதி ப்ராப்யம்?
6 And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.
தத: ஸ உவாச, ஏகஸ²தாட⁴கதைலாநி; ததா³ க்³ரு’ஹகார்ய்யாதீ⁴ஸ²: ப்ரோவாச, தவ பத்ரமாநீய ஸீ²க்⁴ரமுபவிஸ்²ய தத்ர பஞ்சாஸ²தம்’ லிக²|
7 Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore.
பஸ்²சாத³ந்யமேகம்’ பப்ரச்ச², த்வத்தோ மே ப்ரபு⁴ணா கதி ப்ராப்யம்? தத: ஸோவாதீ³த்³ ஏகஸ²தாட⁴ககோ³தூ⁴மா: ; ததா³ ஸ கத²யாமாஸ, தவ பத்ரமாநீய அஸீ²திம்’ லிக²|
8 And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light. (aiōn g165)
தேநைவ ப்ரபு⁴ஸ்தமயதா²ர்த²க்ரு’தம் அதீ⁴ஸ²ம்’ தத்³பு³த்³தி⁴நைபுண்யாத் ப்ரஸ²ஸ²ம்’ஸ; இத்த²ம்’ தீ³ப்திரூபஸந்தாநேப்⁴ய ஏதத்ஸம்’ஸாரஸ்ய ஸந்தாநா வர்த்தமாநகாலே(அ)தி⁴கபு³த்³தி⁴மந்தோ ப⁴வந்தி| (aiōn g165)
9 And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations. (aiōnios g166)
அதோ வதா³மி யூயமப்யயதா²ர்தே²ந த⁴நேந மித்ராணி லப⁴த்⁴வம்’ ததோ யுஷ்மாஸு பத³ப்⁴ரஷ்டேஷ்வபி தாநி சிரகாலம் ஆஸ்²ரயம்’ தா³ஸ்யந்தி| (aiōnios g166)
10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
ய: கஸ்²சித் க்ஷுத்³ரே கார்ய்யே விஸ்²வாஸ்யோ ப⁴வதி ஸ மஹதி கார்ய்யேபி விஸ்²வாஸ்யோ ப⁴வதி, கிந்து ய: கஸ்²சித் க்ஷுத்³ரே கார்ய்யே(அ)விஸ்²வாஸ்யோ ப⁴வதி ஸ மஹதி கார்ய்யேப்யவிஸ்²வாஸ்யோ ப⁴வதி|
11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true [riches]?
அதஏவ அயதா²ர்தே²ந த⁴நேந யதி³ யூயமவிஸ்²வாஸ்யா ஜாதாஸ்தர்ஹி ஸத்யம்’ த⁴நம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ கரேஷு க: ஸமர்பயிஷ்யதி?
12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?
யதி³ ச பரத⁴நேந யூயம் அவிஸ்²வாஸ்யா ப⁴வத² தர்ஹி யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸ்வகீயத⁴நம்’ யுஷ்மப்⁴யம்’ கோ தா³ஸ்யதி?
13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
கோபி தா³ஸ உபௌ⁴ ப்ரபூ⁴ ஸேவிதும்’ ந ஸ²க்நோதி, யத ஏகஸ்மிந் ப்ரீயமாணோ(அ)ந்யஸ்மிந்நப்ரீயதே யத்³வா ஏகம்’ ஜநம்’ ஸமாத்³ரு’த்ய தத³ந்யம்’ துச்சீ²கரோதி தத்³வத்³ யூயமபி த⁴நேஸ்²வரௌ ஸேவிதும்’ ந ஸ²க்நுத²|
14 And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.
ததை³தா: ஸர்வ்வா: கதா²: ஸ்²ருத்வா லோபி⁴பி²ரூஸி²நஸ்தமுபஜஹஸு: |
15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
தத: ஸ உவாச, யூயம்’ மநுஷ்யாணாம்’ நிகடே ஸ்வாந் நிர்தோ³ஷாந் த³ர்ஸ²யத² கிந்து யுஷ்மாகம் அந்த: கரணாநீஸ்²வரோ ஜாநாதி, யத் மநுஷ்யாணாம் அதி ப்ரஸ²ம்’ஸ்யம்’ தத்³ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய க்⁴ரு’ண்யம்’|
16 The law and the prophets [were] until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
யோஹந ஆக³மநபர்ய்யநதம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸமீபே வ்யவஸ்தா²ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³நாம்’ லேக²நாநி சாஸந் தத: ப்ரப்⁴ரு’தி ஈஸ்²வரராஜ்யஸ்ய ஸுஸம்’வாத³: ப்ரசரதி, ஏகைகோ லோகஸ்தந்மத்⁴யம்’ யத்நேந ப்ரவிஸ²தி ச|
17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.
வரம்’ நப⁴ஸ: ப்ரு’தி²வ்யாஸ்²ச லோபோ ப⁴விஷ்யதி ததா²பி வ்யவஸ்தா²யா ஏகபி³ந்தோ³ரபி லோபோ ந ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
18 Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from [her] husband committeth adultery.
ய: கஸ்²சித் ஸ்வீயாம்’ பா⁴ர்ய்யாம்’ விஹாய ஸ்த்ரியமந்யாம்’ விவஹதி ஸ பரதா³ராந் க³ச்ச²தி, யஸ்²ச தா த்யக்தாம்’ நாரீம்’ விவஹதி ஸோபி பரதா³ராந க³ச்ச²தி|
19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
ஏகோ த⁴நீ மநுஷ்ய: ஸு²க்லாநி ஸூக்ஷ்மாணி வஸ்த்ராணி பர்ய்யத³தா⁴த் ப்ரதிதி³நம்’ பரிதோஷரூபேணாபு⁴ம்’க்தாபிவச்ச|
20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
ஸர்வ்வாங்கே³ க்ஷதயுக்த இலியாஸரநாமா கஸ்²சித்³ த³ரித்³ரஸ்தஸ்ய த⁴நவதோ போ⁴ஜநபாத்ராத் பதிதம் உச்சி²ஷ்டம்’ போ⁴க்தும்’ வாஞ்ச²ந் தஸ்ய த்³வாரே பதித்வாதிஷ்ட²த்;
21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
அத² ஸ்²வாந ஆக³த்ய தஸ்ய க்ஷதாந்யலிஹந்|
22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
கியத்காலாத்பரம்’ ஸ த³ரித்³ர: ப்ராணாந் ஜஹௌ; தத: ஸ்வர்கீ³யதூ³தாஸ்தம்’ நீத்வா இப்³ராஹீம: க்ரோட³ உபவேஸ²யாமாஸு: |
23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. (Hadēs g86)
பஸ்²சாத் ஸ த⁴நவாநபி மமார, தம்’ ஸ்²மஸா²நே ஸ்தா²பயாமாஸுஸ்²ச; கிந்து பரலோகே ஸ வேத³நாகுல: ஸந் ஊர்த்³த்⁴வாம்’ நிரீக்ஷ்ய ப³ஹுதூ³ராத்³ இப்³ராஹீமம்’ தத்க்ரோட³ இலியாஸரஞ்ச விலோக்ய ருவந்நுவாச; (Hadēs g86)
24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
ஹே பிதர் இப்³ராஹீம் அநுக்³ரு’ஹ்ய அங்கு³ல்யக்³ரபா⁴க³ம்’ ஜலே மஜ்ஜயித்வா மம ஜிஹ்வாம்’ ஸீ²தலாம்’ கர்த்தும் இலியாஸரம்’ ப்ரேரய, யதோ வஹ்நிஸி²கா²தோஹம்’ வ்யதி²தோஸ்மி|
25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
ததா³ இப்³ராஹீம் ப³பா⁴ஷே, ஹே புத்ர த்வம்’ ஜீவந் ஸம்பத³ம்’ ப்ராப்தவாந் இலியாஸரஸ்து விபத³ம்’ ப்ராப்தவாந் ஏதத் ஸ்மர, கிந்து ஸம்ப்ரதி தஸ்ய ஸுக²ம்’ தவ ச து³: க²ம்’ ப⁴வதி|
26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that [would come] from thence.
அபரமபி யுஷ்மாகம் அஸ்மாகஞ்ச ஸ்தா²நயோ ர்மத்⁴யே மஹத்³விச்சே²தோ³(அ)ஸ்தி தத ஏதத்ஸ்தா²நஸ்ய லோகாஸ்தத் ஸ்தா²நம்’ யாதும்’ யத்³வா தத்ஸ்தா²நஸ்ய லோகா ஏதத் ஸ்தா²நமாயாதும்’ ந ஸ²க்நுவந்தி|
27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:
ததா³ ஸ உக்தவாந், ஹே பிதஸ்தர்ஹி த்வாம்’ நிவேத³யாமி மம பிது ர்கே³ஹே யே மம பஞ்ச ப்⁴ராதர: ஸந்தி
28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
தே யதை²தத்³ யாதநாஸ்தா²நம்’ நாயாஸ்யந்தி ததா² மந்த்ரணாம்’ தா³தும்’ தேஷாம்’ ஸமீபம் இலியாஸரம்’ ப்ரேரய|
29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
தத இப்³ராஹீம் உவாச, மூஸாப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³நாஞ்ச புஸ்தகாநி தேஷாம்’ நிகடே ஸந்தி தே தத்³வசநாநி மந்யந்தாம்’|
30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
ததா³ ஸ நிவேத³யாமாஸ, ஹே பிதர் இப்³ராஹீம் ந ததா², கிந்து யதி³ ம்ரு’தலோகாநாம்’ கஸ்²சித் தேஷாம்’ ஸமீபம்’ யாதி தர்ஹி தே மநாம்’ஸி வ்யாகோ⁴டயிஷ்யந்தி|
31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
தத இப்³ராஹீம் ஜகா³த³, தே யதி³ மூஸாப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³நாஞ்ச வசநாநி ந மந்யந்தே தர்ஹி ம்ரு’தலோகாநாம்’ கஸ்மிம்’ஸ்²சித்³ உத்தி²தேபி தே தஸ்ய மந்த்ரணாம்’ ந மம்’ஸ்யந்தே|
