Luke 13
1 There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilæans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
१त्यावेळी येशूला तेथे उपस्थित लोकांनी, पिलाताने गालील प्रांतातील मनुष्यांचे रक्त त्यांच्याच यज्ञपशूंच्या रक्तात कसे मिसळले होते, त्याविषयी सांगितले,
2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilæans were sinners above all the Galilæans, because they suffered such things?
२त्याने त्यांना उत्तर दिले, “या गालीलकरांनी हे जे दुःख भोगले त्यावरुन ते इतर गालीलकरांपेक्षा जास्त पापी होते, असे तुम्हास वाटते का?
3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
३मी तुम्हास सांगतो की असे नाही, जर तुम्ही पश्चात्ताप केला नाही तर ते जसे मरण पावले तसे तुम्हीही मराल.
4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
४किंवा ज्यांच्यावर शिलोहाचा बुरुज पडला व त्याखाली दबून मारले गेलेले ते अठराजण यरूशलेम शहरात राहणाऱ्या इतर सर्व लोकांपेक्षा अधिक पापी होते असे तुम्हास वाटते का?
5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
५नाही, मी तुम्हास सांगतो जर तुम्ही पश्चात्ताप केला नाही तर तुम्ही सर्वजण त्यांच्यासारखे मराल.”
6 He spake also this parable; A certain [man] had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
६नंतर येशूने हा दाखला सांगितला, “एका मनुष्याने त्याच्या द्राक्षमळ्यात अंजिराचे झाड लावले होते, त्यावर काही फळ असेल म्हणून तो ते पाहावयास आला परंतु त्यास काहीही आढळले नाही.
7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
७म्हणून तो माळ्याला म्हणाला, पाहा, या अंजिराच्या झाडावर फळ पाहण्यासाठी मी गेल्या तीन वर्षांपासून येत आहे, परंतु मला त्यावर काही आढळत नाही. ते तोडून टाक. उगाच त्याने जागा तरी का अडवावी?
8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung [it]:
८माळ्याने उत्तर दिले, मालक, हे एवढे एक वर्षभर ते राहू द्या. म्हणजे मी त्याच्याभोवती खणून त्यास खत घालीन.
9 And if it bear fruit, [well]: and if not, [then] after that thou shalt cut it down.
९मग येत्या वर्षात फळ आले तर छानच! जर आले नाही तर मग आपण ते तोडून टाकावे.”
10 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.
१०आणि शब्बाथ दिवशी येशू एका सभास्थानात शिकवीत होता.
11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up [herself].
११तेथे एक स्त्री होती, तिला दुष्ट आत्म्याने अठरा वर्षांपासून अपंग केले होते. ती कुबडी होती व तिला सरळ उभे राहता येत नव्हते.
12 And when Jesus saw her, he called [her to him], and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
१२येशूने तिला पाहून तिला बोलावले आणि तो तिला म्हणाला, “मुली, तुझ्या आजारापासून तू मुक्त झाली आहेस.”
13 And he laid [his] hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
१३नंतर त्याने आपले हात तिच्यावर ठेवले आणि ती तत्काळ नीट झाली आणि ती देवाची स्तुती करू लागली.
14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
१४नंतर, येशूने तिला बरे केले होते तो शब्बाथाचा दिवस होता म्हणून सभास्थानाचा अधिकारी त्याच्यावर रागावला शब्बाथ दिवशी कोणतेही काम करू नये असा यहूद्यांचा नियम आहे. तो लोकांस म्हणाला, “काम करण्यासाठी सहा दिवस आहेत म्हणून या सहा दिवसांमध्ये या व बरे व्हा. पण शब्बाथ दिवशी येऊन बरे होऊ नका.”
15 The Lord then answered him, and said, [Thou] hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or [his] ass from the stall, and lead [him] away to watering?
१५येशूने त्यास उत्तर दिले आणि म्हणाला, “ढोंग्यांनो, तुम्हापैकी प्रत्येकजण त्याच्या बैलाला व गाढवाला शब्बाथ दिवशी त्याच्या ठिकाणाहून सोडून पाणी पाजायला घेऊन जात नाही का?
16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
१६ही तर अब्राहामाची कन्या आहे. सैतानाने हिला अठरा वर्षे बांधून ठेवले होते. त्या बंधनातून तिला शब्बाथ दिवशी सोडविणे चूक होते काय?”
17 And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.
१७तो असे म्हणाल्यावर त्याचा विरोध करणाऱ्यांना लाज वाटली व त्याने ज्या अद्भूत गोष्टी केल्या होत्या त्यामुळे सगळा समुदाय आनंद करू लागला.
18 Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it?
१८मग तो म्हणाला, “देवाचे राज्य कशासारखे आहे? आणि मी त्यास कशाची उपमा देऊ.
19 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.
१९देवाचे राज्य एका मोहरीच्या दाण्यासारखे आहे. तो मोहरीचा दाणा एका मनुष्याने घेतला व आपल्या बागेत लावला व ते वाढून त्याचे मोठे झाड झाले आणि आकाशातील पाखरांनी त्याच्या फांद्यांवर घरटी बांधली.”
20 And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?
२०तो पुन्हा म्हणाला, “मी देवाच्या राज्याला आणखी कशाची उपमा देऊ?
21 It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
२१ते खमिरासारखे पिठ किंवा इतर पदार्थांना आंबविण्यासाठी उपयोगात येणारा पदार्थ आहे. एका स्त्रीने तीन मापे पिठात खमिर मिसळले आणि ते सर्व खमिरामुळे फुगले.”
22 And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.
२२येशू यरूशलेम शहराच्या दिशेने वाटचाल करीत असता, गांवागांवातून आणि खेड्यापाड्यांतून तो लोकांस शिकवीत होता.
23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,
२३कोणीतरी त्यास विचारले, “प्रभू, अगदी थोड्याच लोकांचे तारण होईल का?” तो त्यांना म्हणाला,
24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
२४“अरुंद दरवाजाने आत जाण्याचा प्रयत्न करा, कारण मी तुम्हास सांगतो की, पुष्कळजण आत येण्याचा प्रयत्न करतील, पण त्यांना ते शक्य होणार नाही.
25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
२५घराच्या मालकाने उठून दरवाजा बंद केल्यावर, तुम्ही बाहेर उभे रहाल व दरवाजा ठोठवाल आणि म्हणाला; प्रभू, आम्हासाठी दरवाजा उघडा! परंतु तो तुम्हास उत्तर देईल, तुम्ही कोठून आलात हे मला माहीत नाही.
26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
२६नंतर तुम्ही म्हणाल, आम्ही तुमच्याबरोबर जेवलो, आम्ही तुमच्याबरोबर प्यालो, आमच्या रस्त्यावर तुम्ही शिक्षण दिले!
27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all [ye] workers of iniquity.
२७आणि तो तुम्हास म्हणेल, तुम्ही कोठून आलात हे मला माहीत नाही, अन्याय करणाऱ्यांनो तुम्ही सर्व माझ्यापासून दूर व्हा.
28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you [yourselves] thrust out.
२८तेथे रडणे व दात खाणे चालेल, तेव्हा तुम्ही अब्राहामाला आणि इसहाकाला आणि याकोबाला आणि सर्व संदेष्ट्यांना देवाच्या राज्यामध्ये पाहाल, पण तुम्ही स्वतः मात्र बाहेर टाकलेले असाल.
29 And they shall come from the east, and [from] the west, and from the north, and [from] the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
२९आणि लोक पूर्वेकडून, पश्चिमेकडून, उत्तरेकडून व दक्षिणेकडून येतील व देवाच्या राज्यात मेजासभोवती आपापल्या जागेवर बसतील.
30 And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.
३०जे शेवटचे आहेत ते पहिले होतील व जे पहिले आहेत ते शेवटचे होतील, हे लक्षात ठेवा.”
31 The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.
३१त्यावेळी काही परूशी येशूकडे आले आणि ते त्यास म्हणाले, “येथून निघा व दुसरीकडे कुठे तरी जा, कारण हेरोद तुम्हास ठार मारणार आहे.”
32 And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third [day] I shall be perfected.
३२येशू त्यांना म्हणाला, “जा आणि त्या कोल्ह्याला सांगा, ‘ऐक, मी लोकांतून भूते काढीन, आज व उद्या रोग बरे करीन आणि तिसऱ्या दिवशी माझे काम संपवीन.’
33 Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the [day] following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.
३३तरीही आज, उद्या आणि परवा मला पुढे गेले पाहिजे कारण संदेष्टा यरूशलेम शहराबाहेर मारला जावा हे शक्य नाही.”
34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen [doth gather] her brood under [her] wings, and ye would not!
३४यरूशलेमे, यरूशलेमे, जी तू संदेष्टयांना मारतेस व देवाने पाठविलेल्यांवर दगडमार करतेस! कोंबडी जशी पिलांना आपल्या पंखाखाली एकवटते तसे कितीतरी वेळा तुम्हा लोकांस एकवटण्याची माझी इच्छा होती, पण तुमची तशी इच्छा नव्हती.
35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until [the time] come when ye shall say, Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
३५“पाहा, देवाने तुमच्या घराचा त्याग केला आहे. मी तुम्हास सांगतो, ‘परमेश्वराच्या नावाने येणारा धन्यवादित असो’ असे म्हणण्याची वेळ येईपर्यंत तुम्ही मला पाहणार नाही.”
