Lamentations 5
1 Remember, O LORD, what is come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach.
யெகோவாவே, எங்களுக்கு நடந்ததை நினைவுகூரும்; எங்கள் அவமானத்தை நோக்கிப்பாரும்.
2 Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens.
எங்கள் உரிமைச்சொத்துக்கள் அந்நியருக்கு கொடுக்கப்பட்டன. எங்கள் வீடுகள் பிறநாட்டவருக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டன.
3 We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers [are] as widows.
நாங்கள் அநாதைகளானோம், தகப்பன் இல்லை. எங்கள் தாய்மார்கள் விதவைகளைப் போலிருக்கிறார்கள்.
4 We have drunken our water for money; our wood is sold unto us.
நாங்கள் குடிக்கும் தண்ணீரை விலைகொடுத்து வாங்க வேண்டியிருக்கிறது; எங்கள் விறகும் பணத்திற்கே வாங்கப்படுகிறது.
5 Our necks [are] under persecution: we labour, [and] have no rest.
எங்களைப் பின்தொடர்கிறவர்கள் எங்கள் காலடியில் நிற்கிறார்கள்; நாங்கள் களைத்துப்போனோம். ஆனால் எங்களுக்கு ஓய்வு இல்லை.
6 We have given the hand [to] the Egyptians, [and to] the Assyrians, to be satisfied with bread.
நாங்கள் உணவு பெறுதவதற்காக எகிப்திற்குக் கீழும், அசீரியாவுக்குக் கீழும் அடங்கிப்போனோம்.
7 Our fathers have sinned, [and are] not; and we have borne their iniquities.
எங்கள் முற்பிதாக்கள் பாவம் செய்து, இல்லாமற்போனார்கள்; நாங்களோ அவர்களுடைய தண்டனைகளைச் சுமக்கிறோம்.
8 Servants have ruled over us: [there is] none that doth deliver [us] out of their hand.
அடிமைகள் எங்களுக்கு மேலாக ஆளுகிறார்கள், அவர்களுடைய கையிலிருந்து எங்களை விடுவிக்க யாருமேயில்லை.
9 We gat our bread with [the peril of] our lives because of the sword of the wilderness.
பாலைவனத்தில் இருக்கும் வாளின் நிமித்தம், எங்கள் உயிரைக் கையில் பிடித்துக்கொண்டே, எங்கள் உணவைத் தேடுகிறோம்.
10 Our skin was black like an oven because of the terrible famine.
பசியின் கொடுமையினால், காய்ச்சல் வந்து எங்கள் தோல் அடுப்படியைப்போல் கறுத்துப்போயிற்று.
11 They ravished the women in Zion, [and] the maids in the cities of Judah.
பெண்கள் சீயோனிலும், கன்னிகைகள் யூதா பட்டணத்திலும் மானபங்கம் செய்யப்படுகிறார்கள்.
12 Princes are hanged up by their hand: the faces of elders were not honoured.
இளவரசர்களை அவர்கள் கைகளைக் கட்டி தூக்கிலிட்டார்கள்; முதியோருக்கு மரியாதை காட்டப்படுவதுமில்லை.
13 They took the young men to grind, and the children fell under the wood.
இளைஞர்கள் ஆலைகளில் செக்கு இழுக்க கொண்டுசெல்லப்படுகிறார்கள்; சிறுவர்கள் பாரமான மரங்களைச் சுமந்து தள்ளாடுகிறார்கள்.
14 The elders have ceased from the gate, the young men from their musick.
முதியோர் பட்டணத்தின் வாசலிலிருந்து போய்விட்டார்கள்; வாலிபர் தாங்கள் இசை மீட்பதை நிறுத்திவிட்டார்கள்.
15 The joy of our heart is ceased; our dance is turned into mourning.
எங்கள் இருதயத்தின் மகிழ்ச்சி போய்விட்டது; எங்கள் நடனம் புலம்பலாக மாறிற்று.
16 The crown is fallen [from] our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!
எங்கள் தலையிலிருந்த மகுடம் விழுந்து விட்டது. நாங்கள் பாவம் செய்தோமே; எங்களுக்கு ஐயோ கேடு!
17 For this our heart is faint; for these [things] our eyes are dim.
இதனால் எங்கள் இருதயம் சோர்ந்துபோயிற்று, இவைகளினால் எங்கள் கண்கள் மங்கிப்போகின்றன;
18 Because of the mountain of Zion, which is desolate, the foxes walk upon it.
ஏனெனில், சீயோன் மலை பாழாகிக் கிடக்கிறது; அங்கே நரிகள் இரைதேடித் திரிகின்றன.
19 Thou, O LORD, remainest for ever; thy throne from generation to generation.
யெகோவாவே, நீரோ என்றென்றும் அரசாளுபவர்; உமது சிங்காசனம் தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக நிலைநிற்கும்.
20 Wherefore dost thou forget us for ever, [and] forsake us so long time?
ஏன் எங்களை நீர் தொடர்ந்து மறந்துவிடுகிறீர்? ஏன் எங்களை நெடுங்காலமாய் கைவிடுகிறீர்?
21 Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.
யெகோவாவே, எங்களைப் புதுப்பித்து எங்களை உம்மிடத்தில் திருப்பிக்கொள்ளும்; எங்கள் நாட்களை முந்திய நாட்களைப்போல் புதிதாக்கும்.
22 But thou hast utterly rejected us; thou art very wroth against us.
அப்படியில்லாவிட்டால், நீர் எங்களை முற்றிலுமாக புறக்கணித்துவிடுவீரோ? எங்கள்மேல் கடுங்கோபம் கொண்டிருக்கிறீரே!
