Judges 21
1 Now the men of Israel had sworn in Mizpeh, saying, There shall not any of us give his daughter unto Benjamin to wife.
১ইস্ৰায়েলৰ লোকসকলে মিস্পাত এই প্রতিজ্ঞা কৰিলে, “আমাৰ কোনেও বিন্যামীনৰ বংশৰ কাৰো ঘৰলৈ নিজ জীয়েকক বিয়া দিব নালাগে।”
2 And the people came to the house of God, and abode there till even before God, and lifted up their voices, and wept sore;
২পাছত ইস্রায়েলৰ লোকসকল বৈৎএল চহৰলৈ গ’ল, তাতে ঈশ্বৰৰ সন্মুখত সন্ধ্যালৈকে সেই ঠাইত বহি থাকি বৰ মাতেৰে ক্ৰন্দন কৰি ক’লে,
3 And said, O LORD God of Israel, why is this come to pass in Israel, that there should be to day one tribe lacking in Israel?
৩“হে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱা, আজি ইস্ৰায়েলৰ মাজৰ এক ফৈদ লুপ্ত হ’ল; ইস্ৰায়েলৰ মাজত কিয় এনে ঘটিল?”
4 And it came to pass on the morrow, that the people rose early, and built there an altar, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings.
৪পাছদিনা লোকসকলে পুৱাতে উঠি এটা যজ্ঞ-বেদি সাজি সেই বেদিত তেওঁলোকে হোম-বলি আৰু মঙ্গলাৰ্থক নৈবেদ্য উৎসৰ্গ কৰিলে।
5 And the children of Israel said, Who [is there] among all the tribes of Israel that came not up with the congregation unto the LORD? For they had made a great oath concerning him that came not up to the LORD to Mizpeh, saying, He shall surely be put to death.
৫তাৰ পাছত ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সন্তান সকলে ক’লে, “ইস্রায়েলীয় সকলৰ মাজত এনে কোন জাতি আছে যি সকল প্রভুৰ কাষলৈ আমাৰ এই প্রার্থনালৈ অহা নাই?” কিয়নো মিস্পাত যিহোৱাৰ গুৰিলৈ যি জন নাহিব, “তেওঁৰ প্ৰাণ দণ্ড অৱশ্যে হ’ব” এই বুলি তেওঁলোকে প্রতিজ্ঞা কৰিছিল।
6 And the children of Israel repented them for Benjamin their brother, and said, There is one tribe cut off from Israel this day.
৬ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সন্তান সকলে নিজ ভাই বিন্যামীনৰ অৰ্থে বেজাৰ কৰি ক’লে, “ইস্ৰায়েলৰ মাজৰ পৰা আজি এক ফৈদ উচ্ছন্ন হ’ল;
7 How shall we do for wives for them that remain, seeing we have sworn by the LORD that we will not give them of our daughters to wives?
৭এতিয়া তাৰ অৱশিষ্ট থকা লোকসকলৰ বিয়াৰ বিষয়ে কি কৰা উচিত? কিয়নো আমাৰ নিজ নিজ জীহঁতক সিহঁতৰে সৈতে বিয়া নিদিওঁ বুলি কৈ আমি যিহোৱাৰ নামেৰে শপত খালোঁ।”
8 And they said, What one [is there] of the tribes of Israel that came not up to Mizpeh to the LORD? And, behold, there came none to the camp from Jabesh-gilead to the assembly.
৮এই হেতুকে তেওঁলোকে ক’লে, “ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ফৈদ সমূহৰ মাজৰ এনে কোন আছে, যি ফৈদ মিস্পাত যিহোৱাৰ কাষত উপস্থিত হোৱা নাই?” তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে জানিব পাৰিলে যাবেচ গিলিয়দৰ পৰা কিছুমান মানুহ সেই সমাবেশত উপস্থিত হোৱা নাই।
9 For the people were numbered, and, behold, [there were] none of the inhabitants of Jabesh-gilead there.
৯কিয়নো লোকসকলৰ গণনা কৰাৰ সময়ত তেওঁলোকে দেখিলে যে যাবেচ গিলিয়দ নিবাসীসকলৰ এজনো সেই ঠাইলৈ অহা নাই।
10 And the congregation sent thither twelve thousand men of the valiantest, and commanded them, saying, Go and smite the inhabitants of Jabesh-gilead with the edge of the sword, with the women and the children.
১০তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে সাহসী লোকসকলৰ মাজৰ পৰা বাৰ হাজাৰ সৈন্যক এই আজ্ঞা দি পঠালে যে “তেওঁলোকে যাবেচ গিলিয়দলৈ গৈ সৰু সৰু ল’ৰা-ছোৱলী আৰু মহিলাকে ধৰি সকলোকে আক্রমণ কৰি বধ কৰক।”
11 And this [is] the thing that ye shall do, Ye shall utterly destroy every male, and every woman that hath lain by man.
১১“তোমালোকে এইদৰে কৰা; প্ৰতিজন পুৰুষ আৰু পুৰুষেৰে সৈতে শয়ন কৰা প্ৰতিগৰাকী মহিলাকে বধ কৰিবা।”
12 And they found among the inhabitants of Jabesh-gilead four hundred young virgins, that had known no man by lying with any male: and they brought them unto the camp to Shiloh, which [is] in the land of Canaan.
১২সৈন্যসকলে যাবেচ-গিলিয়দ নিবাসী লোকসকলৰ মাজত কেতিয়াও পুৰুষৰে সৈতে শয়ন নকৰা চাৰিশ যুবতীক অবিবাহিতা পালে। তেওঁলোকে সেই যুবতীসকলক কনান দেশত থকা চীলোৰ ছাউনিলৈ লৈ গ’ল।
13 And the whole congregation sent [some] to speak to the children of Benjamin that [were] in the rock Rimmon, and to call peaceably unto them.
১৩তাৰ পাছত ইস্রায়েলীয়াসকলে ৰিম্মোন শিলত থকা বিন্যামীনীয়া লোকসকললৈ বার্তা পঠাই শান্তিৰ চুক্তি কৰিবলৈ বিচাৰিলে।
14 And Benjamin came again at that time; and they gave them wives which they had saved alive of the women of Jabesh-gilead: and yet so they sufficed them not.
১৪এই বার্তা শুনি বিন্যামীনীয়াসকল ইস্রায়েললৈ উলটি আহিল। যাবেচ-গিলিয়দীয়া মহিলাসকলৰ মাজৰ জীয়াই ৰখা যুৱতীসকলক তেওঁলোকৰে সৈতে বিয়া কৰাই দিলে; তথাপি তেওঁলোকলৈ ছোৱালীৰ সংখ্যা নাটনি হ’ল।
15 And the people repented them for Benjamin, because that the LORD had made a breach in the tribes of Israel.
১৫ইস্ৰায়েলৰ লোকসকলে বিন্যামীন ফৈদৰ কাৰণে দুখ কৰিবলৈ ধৰিলে, কাৰণ যিহোৱাই ইস্রায়েলৰ ফৈদ সমূহৰ মাজত এক বিভাজন আনি দিছিল।
16 Then the elders of the congregation said, How shall we do for wives for them that remain, seeing the women are destroyed out of Benjamin?
১৬ইস্ৰায়েলৰ বৃদ্ধ নেতাসকলে ক’লে, “বিন্যামীনীয়া স্ত্ৰীসকলক বধ কৰা হ’ল। এতিয়া অৱশিষ্ট বিন্যামীনীয়া যি সকল আছে, তেওঁলোকৰ বিবাহৰ কাৰণে আমি ক’ৰ পৰা স্ত্রী পাম?”
17 And they said, [There must be] an inheritance for them that be escaped of Benjamin, that a tribe be not destroyed out of Israel.
১৭তেওঁলোকে ক’লে, “ইস্রায়েলীয়া সকলৰ মাজৰ পৰা যেন এটা ফৈদ লুপ্ত হৈ নাযায়, সেয়ে জীয়াই থকা বিন্যামীনীয়াসকলৰ বংশ ৰক্ষা কৰিবলৈ সন্তানৰ অৱশ্যেই প্রয়োজন আছে।
18 Howbeit we may not give them wives of our daughters: for the children of Israel have sworn, saying, Cursed [be] he that giveth a wife to Benjamin.
১৮আমাৰ ছোৱালীবোৰকতো তেওঁলোকৰ লগত বিয়া দিব নোৱাৰো, কিয়নো আমি শপত খাইছিলো যে, কোনোৱে যদি বিন্যামীনীয়াক ছোৱালী দিয়ে, তেন্তে তেওঁ অভিশপ্ত হ’ব।”
19 Then they said, Behold, [there is] a feast of the LORD in Shiloh yearly [in a place] which [is] on the north side of Beth-el, on the east side of the highway that goeth up from Beth-el to Shechem, and on the south of Lebonah.
১৯তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে ক’লে, “তোমালোকে জানা যে, প্রতি বছৰে চীলোত যিহোৱাৰ উদ্দেশ্যে এক উৎসৱ হয়; এই চীলো চহৰখন বৈৎএলৰ উত্তৰ ফালে, যি পথ বৈৎএলৰ পৰা চিখিমৰ ফালে উঠি গৈছে তাৰ পূৱফালে আৰু লেবোনাৰ দক্ষিণ ফালে আছে।”
20 Therefore they commanded the children of Benjamin, saying, Go and lie in wait in the vineyards;
২০তেওঁলোকে বিন্যামীনীয়া লোকসকলক এই পৰামর্শ দিলে যে, “তোমালোকে গৈ দ্ৰাক্ষাবাৰীবোৰত লুকাই অপেক্ষা কৰি থাকিবা।
21 And see, and, behold, if the daughters of Shiloh come out to dance in dances, then come ye out of the vineyards, and catch you every man his wife of the daughters of Shiloh, and go to the land of Benjamin.
২১যেতিয়া চীলোৰ ছোৱালীবোৰে নাচত যোগ দিবলৈ ওলাই আহিব, তেতিয়া তোমালোক দ্ৰাক্ষাবাৰীৰ পৰা দৌৰি বাহিৰ ওলাই তেওঁলোকৰ মাজৰ পৰা যাকে ইচ্ছা তেওঁকে ধৰি লৈ বিন্যামীন এলেকালৈ গুচি যাবা।
22 And it shall be, when their fathers or their brethren come unto us to complain, that we will say unto them, Be favourable unto them for our sakes: because we reserved not to each man his wife in the war: for ye did not give unto them at this time, [that] ye should be guilty.
২২তেওঁলোকৰ বাপেক বা ভায়েক-ককায়েকসকলে যেতিয়া আমাৰ ওচৰত গোচৰ দিবলৈ আহিব, তেতিয়া আমি তেওঁলোকক ক’ম, ‘আপোনালোকে এই সকলো ছোৱালীকে দান কৰি তেওঁলোকৰ প্রতি দয়া কৰক; কিয়নো যুদ্ধৰ সময়ত আমি তেওঁলোকৰ কাৰণে যথেষ্ট যুৱতী নাপালোঁ। শপতৰ বিষয়ত আপোনালোকে একো দোষ কৰা নাই; কাৰণ আপোনালোকেতো আপোনালোকৰ ছোৱালীবোৰক নিজে তেওঁলোকলৈ বিয়া দিয়া নাই’।”
23 And the children of Benjamin did so, and took [them] wives, according to their number, of them that danced, whom they caught: and they went and returned unto their inheritance, and repaired the cities, and dwelt in them.
২৩তাতে বিন্যামীনীয়াসকলে তেনেকৈয়ে কৰিলে। ছোৱালীবোৰে যেতিয়া নাচি আছিল তেতিয়া তেওঁলোক প্রত্যেকেই বিয়া কৰিবৰ কাৰণে এগৰাকিকৈ ছোৱালী ধৰি লৈ গ’ল। তাৰ পাছত তেওঁলোকে তেওঁলোকৰ নিজৰ ঠাইলৈ উলটি গৈ নগৰ সাজি তাতে বাস কৰিবলৈ ধৰিলে।
24 And the children of Israel departed thence at that time, every man to his tribe and to his family, and they went out from thence every man to his inheritance.
২৪সেই সময়ত ইস্ৰায়েলীয়াসকলে সেই ঠাই এৰি নিজ নিজ ফৈদ আৰু বংশৰ ঠাইলৈ প্ৰস্থান কৰিলে।
25 In those days [there was] no king in Israel: every man did [that which was] right in his own eyes.
২৫এই সময়ত ইস্ৰায়েলৰ মাজত কোনো ৰজা নাছিল; সেয়ে যিহকে ভাল দেখিছিল তেওঁলোকে তাকেই কৰিছিল।
