Joshua 8
1 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear not, neither be thou dismayed: take all the people of war with thee, and arise, go up to Ai: see, I have given into thy hand the king of Ai, and his people, and his city, and his land:
೧ಅನಂತರ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಯೆಹೋಶುವನಿಗೆ “ಅಂಜಬೇಡ, ಕಳವಳಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ; ಎದ್ದು ಭಟರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಆಯಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗು. ನೋಡು, ಆಯಿ ಎಂಬ ಊರಿನ ಅರಸ, ಪ್ರಜೆ, ನಗರ, ಸೀಮೆ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
2 And thou shalt do to Ai and her king as thou didst unto Jericho and her king: only the spoil thereof, and the cattle thereof, shall ye take for a prey unto yourselves: lay thee an ambush for the city behind it.
೨ಯೆರಿಕೋವಿಗೂ ಅದರ ಅರಸನಿಗೂ ಮಾಡಿದಂತೆಯೇ ಆಯಿಗೂ ಅದರ ಅರಸನಿಗೂ ಮಾಡು. ಆದರೆ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯನ್ನೂ ಪಶುಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಿಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು. ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಆ ಊರಿನ ಹಿಂಬದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡಿರಲಿ” ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.
3 So Joshua arose, and all the people of war, to go up against Ai: and Joshua chose out thirty thousand mighty men of valour, and sent them away by night.
೩ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಎದ್ದು ಭಟರೆಲ್ಲರ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಆಯಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಸಿದ್ಧನಾಗಿ ಮೂವತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಯುದ್ಧವೀರರನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ
4 And he commanded them, saying, Behold, ye shall lie in wait against the city, [even] behind the city: go not very far from the city, but be ye all ready:
೪“ನೀವು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹಿಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕಿ ಕುಳಿತಿರಬೇಕು. ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬಹುದೂರವಾಗಿರಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿರಿ.
5 And I, and all the people that [are] with me, will approach unto the city: and it shall come to pass, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will flee before them,
೫ನಾನೂ ಮತ್ತು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಸಮೀಪಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವೆವು. ಅವರು ಮೊದಲಿನಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮೊಡನೆ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ನಾವು ಓಡಿ ಹೋಗುವೆವು.
6 (For they will come out after us) till we have drawn them from the city; for they will say, They flee before us, as at the first: therefore we will flee before them.
೬ಇವರು ಮೊದಲಿನಂತೆ ನಮಗೆ ಹೆದರಿ ಓಡಿಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟುವರು; ನಾವು ಓಡುತ್ತಲೇ ಇರುವೆವು.
7 Then ye shall rise up from the ambush, and seize upon the city: for the LORD your God will deliver it into your hand.
೭ನಾವೂ ಅವರೂ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಿಂದ ದೂರವಾದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ನೀವು ಹೊಂಚಿ ಕುಳಿತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಎದ್ದು ಪಟ್ಟಣದೊಳಗೆ ನುಗ್ಗಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅದನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವನು.
8 And it shall be, when ye have taken the city, [that] ye shall set the city on fire: according to the commandment of the LORD shall ye do. See, I have commanded you.
೮ನೀವು ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಹೊತ್ತಿಸಿರಿ. ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಾತಿನಂತೆ ನಡೆಯಿರಿ. ಇದೇ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ ಆಜ್ಞೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
9 Joshua therefore sent them forth: and they went to lie in ambush, and abode between Beth-el and Ai, on the west side of Ai: but Joshua lodged that night among the people.
೯ಅವರು ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ ಬೇತೇಲಿಗೂ ಆಯಿಗೂ ನಡುವೆ ಆಯಿ ಎಂಬ ಊರಿನ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಗಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಆ ರಾತ್ರಿಯನ್ನು ಜನರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆದನು.
10 And Joshua rose up early in the morning, and numbered the people, and went up, he and the elders of Israel, before the people to Ai.
೧೦ಅವನು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಎದ್ದು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಹಿರಿಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಸೈನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಅವರ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಆಯಿಗೆ ಹೊರಟನು.
11 And all the people, [even the people] of war that [were] with him, went up, and drew nigh, and came before the city, and pitched on the north side of Ai: now [there was] a valley between them and Ai.
೧೧ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಭಟರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಗಟ್ಟಾಹತ್ತಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಸಮೀಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಅದರ ಉತ್ತರದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳಿದುಕೊಂಡರು. ಅವರಿಗೂ ಆಯಿಗೂ ನಡುವೆ ಒಂದು ತಗ್ಗು ಇತ್ತು.
12 And he took about five thousand men, and set them to lie in ambush between Beth-el and Ai, on the west side of the city.
೧೨ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಹೆಚ್ಚುಕಡಿಮೆ ಐದು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನರನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬೇತೇಲಿಗೂ ಆಯಿಗೂ ನಡುವೆ ಇರುವ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಂಚಿನೋಡುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಇರಿಸಿದನು.
13 And when they had set the people, [even] all the host that [was] on the north of the city, and their liers in wait on the west of the city, Joshua went that night into the midst of the valley.
೧೩ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಉತ್ತರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸೈನ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಂಚಿನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸೈನ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಕ್ರಮಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಆ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಣಿವೆಗೆ ಹೋದನು.
14 And it came to pass, when the king of Ai saw [it], that they hasted and rose up early, and the men of the city went out against Israel to battle, he and all his people, at a time appointed, before the plain; but he wist not that [there were] liers in ambush against him behind the city.
೧೪ಆಯಿ ಎಂಬ ಊರಿನ ಅರಸನು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಇದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದು ತ್ವರೆಯಾಗಿ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟನು. ಅವನೂ ಅವನ ಜನರೂ ಅರಾಬಾ ಎಂಬ ಕಣಿವೆಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶವು ಕಾಣುವ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು. ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹಿಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಂಚಿನೋಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
15 And Joshua and all Israel made as if they were beaten before them, and fled by the way of the wilderness.
೧೫ಯೆಹೋಶುವನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ತಾವು ಸೋತವರೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ಅರಣ್ಯಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಓಡತೊಡಗಿದರು.
16 And all the people that [were] in Ai were called together to pursue after them: and they pursued after Joshua, and were drawn away from the city.
೧೬ಆಯಿ ಎಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣದವರು ಊರಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ತಮ್ಮ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರನ್ನೂ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಯೆಹೋಶುವನನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟುತ್ತಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ದೂರವಾಗಿ ಓಡತೊಡಗಿದರು.
17 And there was not a man left in Ai or Beth-el, that went not out after Israel: and they left the city open, and pursued after Israel.
೧೭ಆಯಿ ಎಂಬ ಊರಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಬೇತೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಒಬ್ಬ ಗಂಡಸಾದರೂ ಉಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಊರಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆದು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಹೊರಟರು.
18 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Stretch out the spear that [is] in thy hand toward Ai; for I will give it into thine hand. And Joshua stretched out the spear that [he had] in his hand toward the city.
೧೮ಯೆಹೋವನು ಯೆಹೋಶುವನಿಗೆ “ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಈಟಿಯನ್ನು ಆಯಿ ಎಂಬ ಊರಿನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಚಾಚು; ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ” ಎನ್ನಲು ಅವನು ಅದನ್ನು ಚಾಚಿದನು.
19 And the ambush arose quickly out of their place, and they ran as soon as he had stretched out his hand: and they entered into the city, and took it, and hasted and set the city on fire.
೧೯ಅವನು ಈಟಿಯನ್ನು ಚಾಚಿದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಹೊಂಚಿನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರು ತಾವಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಎದ್ದು ಓಡಿಬಂದು ಪಟ್ಟಣದೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ನುಗ್ಗಿ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಹಚ್ಚಿದರು.
20 And when the men of Ai looked behind them, they saw, and, behold, the smoke of the city ascended up to heaven, and they had no power to flee this way or that way: and the people that fled to the wilderness turned back upon the pursuers.
೨೦ಆಯಿ ಎಂಬ ಊರಿನ ಜನರು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹೊಗೆಯು ಆಕಾಶದೆತ್ತರಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿಹೋಗುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಯಾವ ಮಾರ್ಗದಿಂದಲೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದರು. ಅರಣ್ಯದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿದ್ದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟುವವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿದರು.
21 And when Joshua and all Israel saw that the ambush had taken the city, and that the smoke of the city ascended, then they turned again, and slew the men of Ai.
೨೧ಯೆಹೋಶುವನೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರೂ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಹೊಂಚಿ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಧೀನವಾದದ್ದನ್ನೂ, ಹೊಗೆಯು ಆಕಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದದ್ದನ್ನೂ ಕಂಡು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದು ಆಯಿ ಊರಿನ ಜನರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದರು.
22 And the other issued out of the city against them; so they were in the midst of Israel, some on this side, and some on that side: and they smote them, so that they let none of them remain or escape.
೨೨ಪಟ್ಟಣದೊಳಗೆ ನುಗ್ಗಿದವರೂ ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆಯಿ ಎಂಬ ಊರಿನವರು ಆ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಈ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಇದ್ದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಬಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರು ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಿದರು. ಒಬ್ಬನಾದರೂ ಉಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಯಾವನೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.
23 And the king of Ai they took alive, and brought him to Joshua.
೨೩ಆಯಿ ಎಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಜೀವಸಹಿತ ಹಿಡಿದು ಯೆಹೋಶುವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರು.
24 And it came to pass, when Israel had made an end of slaying all the inhabitants of Ai in the field, in the wilderness wherein they chased them, and when they were all fallen on the edge of the sword, until they were consumed, that all the Israelites returned unto Ai, and smote it with the edge of the sword.
೨೪ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅರಣ್ಯದವರೆಗೂ ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿ ಬಂದ ಆಯಿ ಎಂಬ ಊರಿನವರನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿದ್ದವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದರು.
25 And [so] it was, [that] all that fell that day, both of men and women, [were] twelve thousand, [even] all the men of Ai.
೨೫ಆ ದಿನ ಆಯಿ ಎಂಬ ಊರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತ ಗಂಡಸರ ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಂಗಸರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಸಾವಿರ ಮಂದಿ.
26 For Joshua drew not his hand back, wherewith he stretched out the spear, until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of Ai.
೨೬ಪಟ್ಟಣದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಹತರಾಗುವವರೆಗೆ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಈಟಿ ಹಿಡಿದು ಚಾಚಿದ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂದೆಗೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.
27 Only the cattle and the spoil of that city Israel took for a prey unto themselves, according unto the word of the LORD which he commanded Joshua.
೨೭ಯೆಹೋವನು ಯೆಹೋಶುವನಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಪಶು ಪ್ರಾಣಿ ಮೊದಲಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡರು.
28 And Joshua burnt Ai, and made it an heap for ever, [even] a desolation unto this day.
೨೮ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಆಯಿ ಎಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟು ಅದು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ತಿರುಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗದಂತೆ ಹಾಳುದಿಬ್ಬವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಅದು ಇಂದಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಉಳಿದಿದೆ.
29 And the king of Ai he hanged on a tree until eventide: and as soon as the sun was down, Joshua commanded that they should take his carcase down from the tree, and cast it at the entering of the gate of the city, and raise thereon a great heap of stones, [that remaineth] unto this day.
೨೯ಆಯಿ ಊರಿನ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದವರೆಗೂ ಮರಕ್ಕೆ ನೇತು ಹಾಕಿಸಿ ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಅಸ್ತಮಿಸುವಾಗ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಅವನ ಶವವನ್ನು ಕೆಳಗಿಳಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಊರಬಾಗಿಲಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿಸಿ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ದೊಡ್ಡ ರಾಶಿಯನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಸಿದನು. ಅದು ಇಂದಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇದೆ.
30 Then Joshua built an altar unto the LORD God of Israel in mount Ebal,
೩೦ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವಂತೆ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಏಬಾಲ್ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು. ಉಳಿಯು ಮುಟ್ಟದ ಹುಟ್ಟುಕಲ್ಲುಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು
31 As Moses the servant of the LORD commanded the children of Israel, as it is written in the book of the law of Moses, an altar of whole stones, over which no man hath lift up [any] iron: and they offered thereon burnt offerings unto the LORD, and sacrificed peace offerings.
೩೧ಜನರು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗಹೋಮಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಯಜ್ಞಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.
32 And he wrote there upon the stones a copy of the law of Moses, which he wrote in the presence of the children of Israel.
೩೨ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಅಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರ ಸಮಕ್ಷಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ಒಂದು ಪ್ರತಿಯನ್ನು ಬರೆದನು.
33 And all Israel, and their elders, and officers, and their judges, stood on this side the ark and on that side before the priests the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, as well the stranger, as he that was born among them; half of them over against mount Gerizim, and half of them over against mount Ebal; as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded before, that they should bless the people of Israel.
೩೩ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು, ಅಂದರೆ ಹಿರಿಯರು, ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು, ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳು, ಪರದೇಶದವರೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ವದೇಶಸ್ಥರೂ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಮಂಜೂಷದ ಎಡಬಲಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತ ಲೇವಿಯರಾದ ಯಾಜಕರ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡರು. ಗೆರಿಜ್ಜೀಮ್ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಕಡೆ ಅರ್ಧಜನರೂ, ಏಬಾಲ್ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಕಡೆ ಅರ್ಧ ಜನರೂ, ಹೀಗೆ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಮೊದಲೇ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ನುಡಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ನಿಂತರು.
34 And afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessings and cursings, according to all that is written in the book of the law.
೩೪ಅನಂತರ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಶೀರ್ವಾದದ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ಶಾಪವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಆ ಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಓದಿದನು.
35 There was not a word of all that Moses commanded, which Joshua read not before all the congregation of Israel, with the women, and the little ones, and the strangers that were conversant among them.
೩೫ಮೋಶೆಯು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದನ್ನೂ ಬಿಡದೆ ಹೆಂಗಸರಿಗೂ, ಚಿಕ್ಕವರಿಗೂ, ಪರದೇಶದವರಿಗೂ ಕೇಳಿಸುವಂತೆ ಸರ್ವಸಮೂಹದ ಮುಂದೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಓದಿದನು.
