Joshua 15

1 [This] then was the lot of the tribe of the children of Judah by their families; [even] to the border of Edom the wilderness of Zin southward [was] the uttermost part of the south coast.

೧ಎದೋಮ್ ಸೀಮೆಯೂ, ಚಿನ್ ಅರಣ್ಯದ ಮೇರೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ಕಾನಾನ ದೇಶದ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭಾಗವು ಯೆಹೂದ ಕುಲದ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ವತ್ತಾಗಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತು.

2 And their south border was from the shore of the salt sea, from the bay that looketh southward:

೨ಅದರ ದಕ್ಷಿಣದ ಮೇರೆಯು ಲವಣ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ತೆಂಕಣ ಕೊನೆಯಿಂದ

3 And it went out to the south side to Maaleh-acrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and ascended up on the south side unto Kadesh-barnea, and passed along to Hezron, and went up to Adar, and fetched a compass to Karkaa:

೩ಅಕ್ರಬ್ಬೀಮ್ ಕಣಿವೆಯ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಚಿನಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಕಾದೇಶ್ ಬರ್ನೇಯದ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹೆಚ್ರೋನಿಗೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಏರುತ್ತಾ ಅದ್ದಾರಿಗೂ ಹೋಗಿ ಕರ್ಕದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ ಅಚ್ಮೋನಿನ ಮೇಲೆ,

4 [From thence] it passed toward Azmon, and went out unto the river of Egypt; and the goings out of that coast were at the sea: this shall be your south coast.

೪ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಹಳ್ಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಸಮುದ್ರತೀರವನ್ನು ಸೇರುವುದು. ಇದು ಅದರ ತೆಂಕಣ ಮೇರೆ.

5 And the east border [was] the salt sea, [even] unto the end of Jordan. And [their] border in the north quarter [was] from the bay of the sea at the uttermost part of Jordan:

೫ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ನದಿಯ ಮುಖದ್ವಾರದಿಂದ ಲವಣ ಸಮುದ್ರವೆಲ್ಲಾ, ಅದರ ಪೂರ್ವದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ಮೇರೆ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಅದರ ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ಮೇರೆಯು ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ನದಿಯು ಲವಣ ಸಮುದ್ರದಿಂದ ಕೂಡುವ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ

6 And the border went up to Beth-hogla, and passed along by the north of Beth-arabah; and the border went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben:

೬ಬೇತ್ ಹೊಗ್ಲಾ ಬೇತ್ ಆರಾಬದ ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯ ರೂಬೇನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬೋಹನನ ಬಂಡೆ,

7 And the border went up toward Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that [is] before the going up to Adummim, which [is] on the south side of the river: and the border passed toward the waters of En-shemesh, and the goings out thereof were at En-rogel:

೭ಆಕೋರಿನ ಕಣಿವೆ ಇವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ದೆಬೇರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅದು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಉತ್ತರಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಹಳ್ಳದ ದಕ್ಷಿಣದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅದುಮೀಮಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ದಾರಿಯ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲ್ ಏನ್ ಷೆಮೆಷ್ ಅನ್ನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಬುಗ್ಗೆ ಏನ್ ರೋಗೆಲ್ ಇವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ

8 And the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom unto the south side of the Jebusite; the same [is] Jerusalem: and the border went up to the top of the mountain that [lieth] before the valley of Hinnom westward, which [is] at the end of the valley of the giants northward:

೮ಬೆನ್ ಹಿನ್ನೋಮ್ ಕಣಿವೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಅದು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಕಟ್ಟಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಯೆಬೂಸಿಯರ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹಿನ್ನೋಮ್ ಕಣಿವೆಯ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ರೆಫಾಯೀಮ್ ಕಣಿವೆಯ ಉತ್ತರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ತುದಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ.

9 And the border was drawn from the top of the hill unto the fountain of the water of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of mount Ephron; and the border was drawn to Baalah, which [is] Kirjath-jearim:

೯ಅದು ಆ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ತುದಿಯಿಂದ ಮುಂದೆ ನೆಫ್ತೋಹ ಬುಗ್ಗೆ, ಎಫ್ರೋನ್ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಇವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಿರ್ಯತ್ಯಾರೀಮ್ ಎನ್ನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಬಾಲಾ ಎಂಬ ಊರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ.

10 And the border compassed from Baalah westward unto mount Seir, and passed along unto the side of mount Jearim, which [is] Chesalon, on the north side, and went down to Beth-shemesh, and passed on to Timnah:

೧೦ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸೇಯೀರ್ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಕೆಸಾಲೋನ್ ಎನ್ನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಯಾರೀಮ್ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಉತ್ತರಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಇಳಿಯುತ್ತಾ ಬೇತ್ ಷೆಮೆಷಿಗೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ತಿಮ್ನಾ ಊರಿಗೂ ಬಂದು

11 And the border went out unto the side of Ekron northward: and the border was drawn to Shicron, and passed along to mount Baalah, and went out unto Jabneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea.

೧೧ಮುಂದೆ ಉತ್ತರದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಕ್ರೋನ್ ಗುಡ್ಡಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಶಿಕ್ಕೆರೋನಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಾಲಾ ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಬ್ನೇಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಸಮುದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಗಿಯುತ್ತದೆ.

12 And the west border [was] to the great sea, and the coast [thereof]. This [is] the coast of the children of Judah round about according to their families.

೧೨ಮಹಾಸಾಗರದ ತೀರವೇ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಮೇರೆಯು. ಯೆಹೂದಾ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳ ದೇಶದ ಸುತ್ತಣ ಮೇರೆಗಳು ಇವೇ.

13 And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a part among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, [even] the city of Arba the father of Anak, which [city is] Hebron.

೧೩ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಂತೆ ಯೆಫುನ್ನೆಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಕಾಲೇಬನಿಗೆ ಯೆಹೂದ ಕುಲದವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಅನಾಕನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಅರ್ಬನ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಹೆಬ್ರೋನನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

14 And Caleb drove thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.

೧೪ಕಾಲೇಬನು ಶೇಷೈ, ಅಹೀಮನ್, ತಲ್ಮೈ ಎಂಬ ಅನಾಕನ ಮೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಓಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು.

15 And he went up thence to the inhabitants of Debir: and the name of Debir before [was] Kirjath-sepher.

೧೫ಆನಂತರ ಅವನು ಹೊರಟು ಕಿರ್ಯತಸೇಫೆರ್ ಎನ್ನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ದೆಬೀರಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೊಡನೆ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿದನು.

16 And Caleb said, He that smiteth Kirjath-sepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife.

೧೬ಅವನು “ಕಿರ್ಯತಸೇಫೆರನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳವವನಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಅಕ್ಷಾ ಎಂಬಾಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಎಂದನು.

17 And Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife.

೧೭ಕೆನಜನ ಮಗನೂ ಕಾಲೇಬನ ತಮ್ಮನೂ ಆದ ಒತ್ನೀಯೇಲನು ಅದನ್ನು ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕಾಲೇಬನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಅಕ್ಷಾಳನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

18 And it came to pass, as she came [unto him], that she moved him to ask of her father a field: and she lighted off [her] ass; and Caleb said unto her, What wouldest thou?

೧೮ಆಕೆಯು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆ ಸೇರಿದಾಗ, ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಗಂಡನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿ ತಾನು ಕತ್ತೆಯ ಮೇಲಿಂದ ಇಳಿದಳು ಕಾಲೇಬನು, “ನಿನಗೇನು ಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲು

19 Who answered, Give me a blessing; for thou hast given me a south land; give me also springs of water. And he gave her the upper springs, and the nether springs.

೧೯ಆಕೆಯು “ನನಗೊಂದು ಕೊಡುಗೆ ಬೇಕು. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದೇಶದ ಬೆಂಗಾಡಿಗೆ (ಬರಡು ಭೂಮಿ) ಕೊಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಾ? ಬುಗ್ಗೆಗಳಿರುವ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಡು” ಎಂದಳು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಆಕೆಗೆ ಮೇಲಣ ಮತ್ತು ಕೆಳಗಣ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

20 This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families.

೨೦ಯೆಹೂದದ ಕುಲಗೋತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿನ ವಿವರ:

21 And the uttermost cities of the tribe of the children of Judah toward the coast of Edom southward were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur,

೨೧ಎದೋಮ್ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಮೇರೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಬ್ಜೇಲ್, ಏದೆರ್, ಯಾಗೂರ್,

22 And Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,

೨೨ಕೀನಾ, ದೀಮೋನ್, ಅದಾದ್,

23 And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan,

೨೩ಕೆದೆಷ್, ಹಾಚೋರ್, ಇತ್ನಾನ್,

24 Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth,

೨೪ಜೀಫ್, ಟೆಲೆಮ್, ಬೆಯಾಲೋತ್,

25 And Hazor, Hadattah, and Kerioth, [and] Hezron, which [is] Hazor,

೨೫ಹಾಚೋರ್ ಹದತ್ತಾ, ಹಾಚೋರ್ ಎಂಬ ಕಿರ್ಯೋತ್, ಹೆಚ್ರೋನ್, ಹಾಚೋರ್,

26 Amam, and Shema, and Moladah,

೨೬ಅಮಾಮ್, ಶೆಮ, ಮೋಲಾದಾ,

27 And Hazar-gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-palet,

೨೭ಹಚರ್ ಗದ್ದಾ, ಹೆಷ್ಮೋನ್, ಬೇತ್ಪೆಲೆಟ್,

28 And Hazar-shual, and Beer-sheba, and Bizjothjah,

೨೮ಹಚರ್ ಷೂವಾಲ್, ಬೇರ್ಷೆಬ, ಬಿಜ್ಯೋತ್ಯಾ,

29 Baalah, and Iim, and Azem,

೨೯ಬಾಲಾ, ಇಯ್ಯೀಮ್, ಎಚೆಮ್,

30 And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah,

೩೦ಎಲ್ಟೋಲದ್, ಕೆಸೀಲ್, ಹೊರ್ಮಾ,

31 And Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah,

೩೧ಚಿಕ್ಲಗ್, ಮದ್ಮನ್ನಾ, ಸನ್ಸನ್ನಾ,

32 And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon: all the cities [are] twenty and nine, with their villages:

೩೨ಲೆಬಾವೋತ್, ಶಿಲ್ಹೀಮ್, ಅಯಿನ್, ರಿಮ್ಮೋನ್ ಎಂಬ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೊಂಬತ್ತು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳು,

33 [And] in the valley, Eshtaol, and Zoreah, and Ashnah,

೩೩ಇಳಿಜಾರು ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಷ್ಟಾವೋಲ್, ಚೊರ್ಗಾ, ಅಶ್ನಾ

34 And Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam,

೩೪ಜನೋಹ, ಏಂಗನ್ನೀಮ್,

35 Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah,

೩೫ತಪ್ಪೂಹ, ಏನಾಮ್, ಯರ್ಮೂತ್,

36 And Sharaim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen cities with their villages:

೩೬ಅದುಲ್ಲಾಮ್, ಸೋಕೋ, ಅಜೇಕಾ, ಶಾರಯಿಮ್, ಅದೀತಯಿಮ್, ಗೆದೇರಾ, ಗೆದೆರೋತಯಿಮ್ ಎಂಬ ಹದಿನಾಲ್ಕು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳು.

37 Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad,

೩೭ಚೆನಾನ್, ಹದಾಷಾ, ಮಿಗ್ದಲ್ಗಾದ್,

38 And Dilean, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel,

೩೮ದಿಲಾನ್, ಮಿಚ್ಪೆ, ಯೊಕ್ತೇಲ್,

39 Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon,

೩೯ಲಾಕೀಷ್, ಬೊಚ್ಕತ್, ಎಗ್ಲೋನ್,

40 And Cabbon, and Lahmam, and Kithlish,

೪೦ಕಬ್ಬೋನ್, ಲಹ್ಮಾಸ್, ಕಿತ್ಲೀಷ್, ಗೆದೇರೋತ್, ಬೇತ್‌ದಾಗೋನ್, ನಾಮಾ,

41 And Gederoth, Beth-dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities with their villages:

೪೧ಮಕ್ಕೇದಾ, ಎಂಬ ಹದಿನಾರು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳೂ, ಅವುಗಳ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳು.

42 Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan,

೪೨ಲಿಬ್ನಾ, ಎತೆರ್, ಆಷಾನ್,

43 And Jiphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib,

೪೩ಇಪ್ತಾಹ,

44 And Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities with their villages:

೪೪ಅಶ್ನಾ, ನೆಚೀಬ್, ಕೆಯೀಲಾ, ಅಕ್ಜೀಬ್, ಮಾರೇಷಾ, ಎಂಬ ಒಂಭತ್ತು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳು.

45 Ekron, with her towns and her villages:

೪೫ಎಕ್ರೋನ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನವೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು.

46 From Ekron even unto the sea, all that [lay] near Ashdod, with their villages:

೪೬ಎಕ್ರೋನಿನಿಂದ ಸಮುದ್ರದವರೆಗೆ ಅಷ್ಡೋದಿನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳು;

47 Ashdod with her towns and her villages, Gaza with her towns and her villages, unto the river of Egypt, and the great sea, and the border [thereof: ]

೪೭ಮತ್ತು ಅಷ್ಡೋದ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು; ಗಾಜಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನ ಹಾಗೂ ಐಗುಪ್ತ ನದಿಯ ಹತ್ತಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮಹಾಸಾಗರದ ತೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಅದರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗ್ರಾಮ, ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು.

48 And in the mountains, Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh,

೪೮ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೇಲಿನ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಶಾಮೀರ್, ಯತ್ತೀರ್, ಸೋಕೋ,

49 And Dannah, and Kirjath-sannah, which [is] Debir,

೪೯ದನ್ನಾ, ದೆಬೀರ್, ಎಂಬ ಕಿರ್ಯತ್ ಸನ್ನಾ,

50 And Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim,

೫೦ಅನಾಬ್, ಎಷ್ಟೆಮೋ, ಅನೀಮ್,

51 And Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven cities with their villages:

೫೧ಗೋಷೆನ್, ಹೋಲೋನ್, ಗಿಲೋ ಎಂಬ ಹನ್ನೊಂದು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳು.

52 Arab, and Dumah, and Eshean,

೫೨ಅರಬ್, ದೂಮಾ, ಎಷಾನ್,

53 And Janum, and Beth-tappuah, and Aphekah,

೫೩ಯಾನೂಮ್, ಬೇತ್ ತಪ್ಪೂಹ, ಅಫೇಕಾ,

54 And Humtah, and Kirjath-arba, which [is] Hebron, and Zior; nine cities with their villages:

೫೪ಹುಮ್ಟಾ, ಹೆಬ್ರೋನೆಂಬ ಕಿರ್ಯತ್‌ಅರ್ಬ, ಚೀಯೋರ್ ಎಂಬ ಒಂಭತ್ತು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅವುಗಳ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳು.

55 Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Juttah,

೫೫ಮಾವೋನ್,

56 And Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah,

೫೬ಕರ್ಮೆಲ್, ಜೀಫ್, ಯುಟ್ಟಾ,

57 Cain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten cities with their villages:

೫೭ಇಜ್ರೇಲ್, ಯೊಗ್ದೆಯಾಮ್, ಜನೋಹ, ಕಯಿನ್, ಗಿಬೆಯಾ, ತಿಮ್ನಾ ಎಂಬ ಹತ್ತು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅವುಗಳ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳು.

58 Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor,

೫೮ಹಲ್ಹೂಲ್, ಬೇತ್‌ಚೂರ್, ಗೆದೋರ್,

59 And Maarath, and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon; six cities with their villages:

೫೯ಮಾರಾತ್, ಬೇತನೋತ್, ಎಲ್ಟೆಕೋನ್ ಎಂಬ ಆರು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳು.

60 Kirjath-baal, which [is] Kirjath-jearim, and Rabbah; two cities with their villages:

೬೦ಕಿರ್ಯಾತ್ಯಾರೀಮ್ ಅನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಕಿರ್ಯಾತ್ ಬಾಳ್, ರಬ್ಬಾ ಎಂಬ ಎರಡು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅವುಗಳು ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳು.

61 In the wilderness, Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah,

೬೧ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬೇತ್ ಆರಾಬಾ, ಮಿದ್ದೀನ್, ಸೆಕಾಕಾ,

೬೨ನಿಬ್ಷಾನ್, ಉಪ್ಪಿನ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು, ಏಂಗೆದೀ ಎಂಬ ಆರು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು, ಅವುಗಳ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳು.

63 As for the Jebusites the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out: but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem unto this day.

೬೩ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಯೆಬೂಸಿಯರನ್ನು ಹೊರಡಿಸಲು ಯೆಹೂದ ಕುಲದವರಿಂದ ಆಗದೆ ಹೋಯಿತು. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ಯೆಹೂದ ಕುಲದವರೊಡನೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲೇ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
